I was whole again.
The gaping hole of despair Piper's departure had left inside of me was gone. The pain. The fear. The heartache. All of that was gone now that she was back in my arms, and I'd be damned if I ever let her go again. I didn't care what I had to do or who I had to kill to make sure she never left my side. She was exactly where she belonged, and so was I.
"You sure you're okay?" I asked.
We were snuggled on the couch with me curled up behind her, arm draped over her stomach. She'd been trailing her finger across my knuckles for what had to be a solid half an hour now, and she hadn't spoken more than two words since she'd screamed my name during her orgasm.
