Alexander walked towards Camellia that was still looking lost. She had been staring onto the floor and holding tight to the chair. She must be still shocked from the thing that happened just now.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
His question left with no reply as she was so into her mind that she didn't realise he was there. Poked on her shoulder, he waved as she startled looking at him, "Hello…"
"Oh!" She stood up right away. "How is it? Do you need to stay at the hospital?"
"Why do I need to stay here?" He wanted to smile because her question was obviously innocent, but held it inside.
"You lost a lot of blood just now." Her face was so serious that he didn't think she was joking.
"Puff…" he tried to hold back his laughter but it still escaped. To not let her see that, he turned around like he was looking for something.
"Why?"
"Nothing, how about you? Are you hurting anywhere?" His eyes examined her face first then her hands then went down to check if there was any part that was hurt.
"No, I'm okay." She gave out a tight lip smile and her lips were still a little bit pale and dry.
"That's why I told you not to flirt with anyone." His mouth! He could stop by just asking if she was okay, but still, he spoke his mind that couldn't be translated well with his foul mouth.
"Sorry?" Her big eyes became more rounded after hearing his words.
"Never mind." He said, looking somewhere else.
"I'm not." She raised her voice a little to stress that she did not do anything like that.
"Well, you did, with me." For him, meeting a stranger for the first time then flirting with him seemed off. He usually despised this type of woman, it looked cheap. It was hard to admit, but it was slightly different with her, maybe because of her face? She was dropped dead gorgeous and so he gave her some leeway. Comparing her with his previous girlfriend, if they were about eight or nine, she was totally ten!
"You are different!"
"What makes me different?"
"Do you really have no idea of who I am or are you faking it?" She was frustrated. She felt like he was acting, acting like he didn't remember her.
"Sophie?" The voice that came from their side made both of them turn their heads.
Adam's appearance made her mouth twitch from holding the feeling. The mixed feeling of fear and sadness that she tried to contain since it happened came rushing out the moment she saw him.
"Oppa…" Her tear dam broke, he was one of her safe places. She had been calling him oppa for six years. Before, she had been calling him 'brother' or 'bro', but Adam disliked it and asked to be called by the name. Since she started watching drama from the K country, she started calling him with that until he was used to it.
Went directly to Camellia, Adam embraced her. "What happened? Are you okay? Let me see, did you get hurt ?" He turned her around and looked carefully.
Alexander watched the whole scene, frowning. "What is going on?"
"Is this the same Camellia that you told me about?" When Camellia told him that they met, he only thought that maybe they just simply ran into each other.
"Yes." Short. He was now on the verge of bursting.
"Don't you remember? Sophie Camellia, your fiancée." He smiled introducing her to Alexander.
He received the introduction with a mocking laughter. "Wait, so this whole time. This girl here…" he stopped, rubbing his eyebrow trying to calm himself.
"She is easy to recognise though, see her dimples." Adam poked at the left sight of that dimple usually appeared.
"Are you kidding me right now?" He was being serious, but Adam was playing around.
"Which part do you think I'm kidding you about?" His tones changed, getting serious.
"You!" His eyes directed to Camellia, "You plan this, right?"
"Pe…what?" She was stuttering because of frustration that she felt from that stupid question.
"You approached me, knowing who I am and making an advance on me, you plan to fool me!"
Camellia's words stuck to her throat. Yes, she did plan to make him fall in love with her but she thought he was just playing hard to get. Never crossed her mind that this guy that was supposed to be her fiancé completely forgot about her.
"Don't be rude Alex, she didn't need to plan all of that."
"So, what has she been doing till now?"
"Let's go." Adam took Camellia's hand and planned to walk out from there.
Harshly snatched her hand from Adam, he glared deep into her eyes, "We are not done yet."
"Behave, there are a lot of people here." Adam said it slowly with gritting teeth. He looked around to make sure that they were not the centre of attention.
"Why, are you afraid that we will make the headline tomorrow Mr. CEO?"
"Did twelve years in a foreign country turned you into a dickhead?"
"Aww aww my hand." She tapped on Alexander's hand that gripped too tight on hers.
"Let her go, you are hurting her." He mumbled the words, so the people around didn't hear them.
"She is my fiancé, am I wrong? Or is she supposed to be yours?"
The words that were out from Alexander's mouth were harsh to her ears but she had to hold everything inside and not let emotion take over.
"Okay, let's talk but first let me go." She slowly pushed his hand to let her go.
"Sophie-"
"I'm okay, don't worry."
"Ahh…so sweet." Alexander crossed his arms and sarcastically said those words.
Adam was at his limit, he clenched his fist. He was normally a patient and loving brother but Alexander had really gone too far this time. Adam grabbed his brother's collar and pulled it up.
"Stop, stop, please…" Camellia begged Adam while trying to take off his hand from Alexander's collar. She was having a headache now, today had been too much for her.
"Let's go. Let's talk as you wish." Camellia pulled Alexander's hand after Adam released him.
He turned his head and looked at Adam standing stiff looking at them. Adam's eyes that had been looking at Camellia, they were different.
'Don't tell me, is he in love with her?'
