Chapter 10 - Need some time

Present

"I came there for you Eve." William cupped Evan's face with his hands. It made Evan flinch but he didn't have the strength to pull away from Williams.

"When I realised that you were in trouble. I rushed to help you. Because even before then I always considered you as mine"

There was a tenderness in Williams ruthless eyes. Which made Evan more scared.

"That day I didn't help your dad because I need anything from you nor I ever thought of asking you to return that money. For me that much money isn't a big deal." William retreated his hands from Evan's face. And caressed Evans' hair.

Yes for Williams who is like an emperor, for him  50 million was nothing but only dust.

"I was happy that I had money that was able to help you, Eve. I was able to fulfil your wish." Evan could feel the sincerity in Williams' words. But he was still hesitant to trust Williams.

For a person who can change his attitude in a split second. Nobody can distinguish, what they are saying is true or not.

"But, to my surprise, you came to me. To thank me . And also, you wanted to pay back the money  I gave." William paused and looked straight into Evans' eyes. Evan felt like those eyes were going to swallow him .Evan Adam's Apple moved.

"I only made that contract,  for a formality. Just to satisfy your request"

William looked at Evan with a smirk on his lip.

"But who knew that the agreement, which was only for a formality, will become a help, to make you mine." He looked at the contract which was lying on the table.

Evan bite his lower lip. Clutched his fist. He was angry. Not to anyone else but to himself for being so stupid. He himself made everything this complicated.

"You know Eve. You already made two promises to me. And you can't go back on your words."

"So what do you say Eve? Now you know how much I care for you. You will have to  marry me.

Evan initially thought that there would be a way for him to escape from this person. But now his every escape route was shattered. He wanted to run away. But his body didn't move an inch.

Evan closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

He clutched his hand tightly.

"I can't make a decision about this matter on my own." Evan said in a low voice.

William looked at Evan in a doubtful eyes.

"I need to discuss it with my family."  Evan added.

Williams smiled. His beautiful, etiquette look becomes more magnificent from that smile. But it only made Evans' face pale in fear.

"Oh ! You don't have to worry about that. I will come with you. And inform us about our marriage with your family. "

Evans' heart trembled.

"No" He suddenly roared and looked straight into William's eyes. But he was unable to withstand Williams' intense stare for long. He lowered his eyes. And said in a trembling voice.

"I...I need some time to think about it. And discuss it with my family." His hands were  shaking.

Williams frowned.

Suddenly Williams' phone began to ring. Williams walked to the table and took his phone and glanced at its screen. He frowned. Then  touched the red button on the screen and put the phone back to the table.  He looked back at Evan . Who was  distracted because of the sudden phone call.

"How much..?" Williams asked in his majestic voice.

Evan Flinched "ha?!" He came back to his senses but didn't hear clearly what Willliams said.

Williams repeated.

" How much time you need".  This time Evan was surprised. He didn't think Willliams would actually give him time to think. He hastily said.

"One...One month.." .

"Okay. I will give you one month to prepare yourself. "

Evan looked at Williams in surprise. And felt somewhat happy. He thought he would be able to come up with something to escape from Williams within this month. And also felt sad for not asking for more time , at least a year.

Williams saw a small smile occuring in Evans face. William smirked as he understood what Evan was thinking.

He was about to say something but his phone once again rang.

William took the phone and touched the answer button . Without even listening to what the other side was about to say. He shouted.

"Whatever urgent matter it is. I will call you back. If you once again called me. That will be your End." The terrifying voice came from William Even shook Evan.

Williams threw his phone on the table. Then looked at Evan. William's face changed and a smile formed in his face. He walked towards William and said.

"You have one month. After one month I will pick you up from your house." He paused then said. "And also. Within that month I will officially visit your family to talk about marriage. " Evans' face turned pale . And the glimmer of hope that was shown in his face disappeared.

Williams stood close to Evan and caressed Evan's cheek.

"In this one month. You need to fully prepare yourself to become my bride." William leaned toward Evan and whispered in his ears.

"You know,I only want to hear one answer. From you." Evans' legs began to lose their strength. He nodded helplessly. Williams smiled in satisfaction.

"Then you should Go" Williams  walked towards his table and took the phone which was thrown away. Once more glanced at Evan then walked out of the room.

Evan stood there like a statue. But suddenly he lost all his strength and sat down on the floor. He felt like he was able to breathe at last. He took  deep breaths. But sudden pain occurred in his heart. He closed his eyes And then tears began to  fall down ......
