Chapter 1 THE GIRL AND HER DIARY

"My feelings are written in pieces of paper

Be it sadness, be it happiness, be it hate

Written upon the parchment

Dormant till it is found or decayed

I bared my light and darkness

Upon the palette of fragile white paper

Not knowing what will happen next

Wanting for a way to escape from reality

The story. My diary. My life."

Once there was a girl who wrote a diary. She wrote in colorful words of joy and misery. She wrote about wizards and dragons and soldiers and breakfasts. But mostly she wrote about herself. She wrote her passion. She wrote her emotion. She wrote her love. And sometimes, a pancake eating a dove.

No. Not the other way around.

For this girl is not the usual unicorns and leprechauns. She loved pain and glory, and everything that is gory. She loved the way poems create a story. Of how metaphors can be seen through a thousand window panes. Yet none of them, sharing a single lane.

But this girl had a problem. She loved her words till it turned ad nauseam. But every day when she opens her eyes, she loses all her ideas, all her creative demise. The words on her diary fade as the stars go to slumber. Just like everything about her, she could not remember.

She wrote and wrote but she forgets. The pages she used felt more like broken nets. Captures yet escapes. Portrays but not in a visual scape. But even so she never changed her diary. That girl went on and on and never stopped her happy misery. She no longer knows who she is or why she keeps rhyming. But there is one peculiar thing that is happening.

Every day she remembers none her of past stories but remembers a new memory. She writes it down on her diary as a new story. It changes day by day and she forgets it the next day. But she never wrote what exactly happened. She wrote it in a way like a treasure chest can never be opened. But alas, the poor young girl can never complete her story. A tale that tells of the truth of her memory.

What ever happened to her we do not know. For in life, you reap what you sow, but don't worry this is not the end of our story. This is the tale of a girl and her diary.
