"Where else should I be?" The latter grinned arrogantly, looking Leo up and down like he was an ant.
His eyes flashed with fury. "What do you want?"
"Nothing much. I just want your life… Just kidding! Don't be so serious."
Leo scrunched his brows. How come his men didn't tell him that Amanda had escaped? How did she even escape in the first place?
As though reading his mind, she laughed scornfully. "You thought I couldn't handle a bunch of lousy men? Pfft… Leo, you underestimate truly too much."
He let out a sigh. Now he knew where Shera's arrogance really came from. "Like mother, like daughter."
"Thanks for the compliment." She smiled.
Leo facepalmed. Their understanding was equally twisted.
