"What is the surname of our family, Cris...?", Valeria asked.

Cris, who grew up in a small village, replied, "My parents were villagers, and in our village, we didn't have any concept of surnames." Valeria was intrigued by this and asked him to elaborate. Cris then went on to explain how in his village, people were recognized by their first names and the name of their father.

Valeria was fascinated by Cris's story and suggested that they create a surname for their new family. Cris was hesitant at first, but Valeria convinced him. They both brainstormed and thought of several names that would represent their family and their values.

During a conversation, Cris unexpectedly mentioned the word "Darkstar..." which immediately piqued Valeria's curiosity. She asked him about the meaning of the word, and Cris proceeded to explain that it was the surname he had come up with for their little group. Intrigued, Valeria listened as he elaborated that all of them had one thing in common - they were all alone in the world.

Cris himself had become an orphan due to a tragic village massacre in his childhood, while Eve had lost her entire family in the same incident.

Valeria, on the other hand, had grown up knowing nothing about her own family. According to Cris, the name Darkstar was a combination of two words - "Dark" and "Star". The former represented their loneliness and the struggles they had faced, while the latter symbolized the hope and light they brought to each other's lives.

In essence, the surname served as a reminder of their shared past and a beacon of hope for a brighter future. It was a symbol of the bond they had formed with each other, despite the hardships they had faced.

As they continued to talk, Valeria felt grateful for having found such a supportive group of friends who understood her struggles and provided her with the strength to keep going.

Valeria's face lit up with happiness as she spoke with excitement, "Our family's surname will be Darkstar...!" Cris, her partner, smiled back at her, sharing in her joy. Over the next few months, Cris would go out to do odd jobs to provide for their family, despite the ongoing struggle to make ends meet.

In front of a grand family residence, an apprehensive girl stood with a hesitant expression on her face. Despite her extraordinary clothing, she was covered in stains, and her timid demeanor was truly pitiful. The young girl's name was Valeria, and she held a baby in her arms. She had come to this place because she didn't want to be a burden to Cris without contributing anything other than caring for little Eve. Valeria's heart was heavy with worry, but she knew that she had to be brave for the sake of the New Family.

Despite being only nine years old, Valeria displays a remarkable level of maturity. She understands the value of hard work and recognizes the sacrifices that Cris, makes to provide for their family's livelihood.

Cris had been struggling to take care of herself and Eve with hard work. Valeria, the Elder of the Family, blamed herself for the situation and decided to step up and help by finding food to share the burden with Cris and Eve. Although she was young and inexperienced, Valeria understood her responsibility towards her family and worked hard all day, hoping to find something to eat.

After a while, Valeria realized that having money was the only way to get delicious food. She set out to find a job to earn some money, but after walking for an hour, she could only find a maid job. Unfortunately, her young age led to her rejection, and she was left without any other options. Despite the setback, Valeria remained determined to find a way to provide for her family.

As Valeria was leaving, disappointed and dejected, a man with a well-groomed mustache suddenly intercepted her. It was clear from his demeanor that he held a position of great power and influence in the house. "Your Age is of Little Consequence," he assured her, "I can personally train you to be the best." Meanwhile, Alex Tries, a man with a wicked laugh and a lecherous gleam in his eye

If it is cultivated, it will inevitably become a beautiful S*x Slave or Concubine for Myself, he thought.

Valeria was feeling quite uneasy as she stood there, with Alex staring at her intently. Something about his gaze made her feel a little strange, and she couldn't quite shake off the feeling of discomfort.

She had been considering the idea of agreeing to work as a maid, but now that Alex Tries had personally offered her the job, she found herself hesitating. The whole situation seemed a bit odd to her, and she wasn't quite sure what to make of it all.

The butler of the Tries residence next door was feeling uneasy about Alex Tries's lecherous gaze towards the well-behaved girl. He wanted to persuade her to leave.

"Sister...!"

Just when Valeria hesitated, Cris's voice suddenly sounded not far away.

"Cris...!"

Valeria's younger brother, Cris, had been worried sick about her and their friend, Eve. As he was walking down the street, he suddenly caught a glimpse of Valeria's familiar figure.

His heart skipped a beat, and he ran towards her. Valeria's eyes lit up with joy as soon as she turned around, and before she knew it, Cris had rushed over and hugged her tightly. With tears in his eyes, Cris said in a trembling voice, "Where were you,Sis and Eve...I was so worried about you and Eve." Just a moment ago, he was still shrouded in despair, thinking that something terrible had happened to Valeria and Eve. But now, seeing Valeria and Eve , the feeling of regaining what was lost is really indescribable.

"Cris..."

Valeria was taken aback and bewildered. She had only left for a short while, yet something seemed to have happened to Cris.

Upon seeing this, Alex's expression slightly darkened. Although Valeria was useful as his maid, he didn't want to take in Cris.

He heard Valeria mention that she had a little brother and little sister just now, but Alex didn't care at all, he just wanted Valeria as his Maid.

Valeria said to Cris that Alex had chosen to give her the job of Maid.

"The Maid..."

Cris's face fell abruptly, his grip on Valeria's hand loosening as he withdrew it from hers. Valeria, still in the middle of painting a picture of their potential future, where she served as Alex's Maid and they all lived a better life, was completely ignored by Cris.

He strode over to Alex and clasped his hands together, speaking with a Sense of "Gratitude"(Fake). "Uncle, I appreciate your kindness, but I must decline. My sister is not a suitable candidate for the role of your Maid, and it would only cause trouble for you."

Cris spoke up and lifted his gaze to meet Alex's eyes. His Father had taught him to be cautious when accepting help from others. He knew from his family's stories that people often had hidden, selfish motives when they offered assistance.

A quick assessment of Alex's demeanor and body language indicated to Cris that he was not a trustworthy person, and he might have some dark intentions behind his seemingly genuine offer of help.

As he heard the refusal of a mere Commoner to enter his Tries residence, his face froze in disbelief and shock. "It's okay, i don't Mind...", Alex said.

"I appreciate your generosity, Uncle, but I must respectfully decline your Offer.", Cris said, Despite Alex's offer, he remained unfazed and unresponsive. He politely lowered his head once more to respectfully decline the offer again.
