The End of Linzi City!
While Wen Tianhua was being cornered by the Huan Yi controlled Zi Xian, time didn't stop flowing. Linzi city had turned into a bloodbath, with the monstrous beasts rallying under Cangyan Ji to launch an unexpected counterattack.
Though severely outnumbered, the beast warriors fought with desperation, putting their lives behind each strike, and effortlessly crushing human warriors of the same level. Add to that Cangyan Ji's horrifying battle prowess, and the two sides soon reached a stalemate.

Unless the two sides reached a compromise, there was a serious chance that the battle would lead to the annihilation of human and beast troops alike. And from an unbiased point of view, such an ending only served the monstrous beasts' interests. After all, if the civil war successfully buried the majority of Linzi warriors, then who the hell would remain to defend the population from the ongoing siege?
