With a spring in his step, the Demon Child ambled at the Guardian, who still squealed as it desperately tried to put more distance between the Demon Child and its neck.
But as the Guardian wondered why its injuries were not healing, it noticed a vertical dark-red eye mark on its lower abdomen, glowing with foul energies. That mark seemed to be draining the Guardian's powers, preventing all regeneration.
Huan Yi reached the bisected Guardian, and following a brief look, the Demon Child broke into tears—holding his mouth in sorrow.
