The Guilt

(A/N- I edited the previous chapter in some point and I corrected some mistake. Sorry, because of thinking too much I forgot that the MC would have change in mentality and sorry for offence. Please give some idea and paragraph comment so that I might get some inspiration and correct my mistakes like @Deathunterz123)

Over the roof I am resting while expanding my Haki. I found some mutation among zombies like one zombie with stronger arm but weaker leg, one with sharp teeth and some zombie dogs. And most dangerous is jump scare zombie which act like dead body but on reaching them they will attack.

And I am waiting for another member and youngest member of protagonist party, as my mission said I have to protect protagonist group for 30 days. And as for information I got from system, is that final boss will appear at 27th day of survival and other than that I got identity of final boss which is none other than Koichi Shido and f*ck its like he got villain plot armor.

Like if I killed him that day, the next day he would have become boss and hunted every one and if not killed he will become zombie boss on 27th day. But I still doubt that there might be a loophole in it. And this information may be important for Ye Feng, to get higher grade in reincarnation space.

"Thud... thud.." I saw a guy shooting shotgun to kill zombie on open road. Seriously, are everyone idiot in anime other than MC, it is clear that zombie are attracted by sound and he is producing more sound. If I remember nearly this time Alice will arrive with her father. I increased my range of haki and Sensed them. I jumped from roof to balcony, and then on the wall on road side.

Takashi also found that Alice in binocular.

"Hey wait there and don't make sound to attract zombie." I told Hirano, and I started to run over the wall crossing the road toward the Alice. I have skill like ACROBATICS which provide better sense of balance, so I am able to easily move over wall. On reaching Alice I found her father is already stabbed, anyway it was written on his fate to die.

I landed and gave my presence, both father and girl stared me.

"Plea..se, protect h *cough* her" And his eye left his color with the last word.

"Daddy.. daddy.. *sob* *sob*"

"Fine, you can rest assured, I will protect her." I took out me handkerchief and put it on his face while laying him down on ground.

"Lets go, zombie are coming." I took out my hoodie and putting her on piggyback I tied her with me using hoodie. And I stared at the incoming white dog, "*bark**bark*"I hold the dog in left hand.

And then I climbed over the wall but suddenly, my danger sense is tingling. I jumped to wall of other side of road and something passed over my previous position. I found a small zombie but with claw instead of hand and faster then its look. I have to avoid them as to decrease chance of Alice being injured. But still this mutated are a large threat. I took out my guns but with silencer attached to it and fired at that zombie, while other hand to hold dog.

As I move forward, some zombies were following us because of smell of blood, I took out a grenade and threw it as far as possible so that it can attract some attention. And finally I reach near the safe house.

And instead of canon, we can easily take a complete nap and get out on early morning.

As, I brought Alice all girls started to mess with her, well obviously cute Loli will attract attention. And I will make sure any lolicon will not come near her.

"Kae-San it was great that you brought her despite this situation."

"It obvious she is still kid and need protection." and I will raise her well. Sh*t, I am not a Lolicon.

"Thank you sister." Alice said. Well she is too cute. I grabbed her both cheek and rubbed it. I subconsciously gave a smile. "*Bark*" the dog is also thanking by barking.

"Kanzaki-San its first time I saw you giving a warm hearted smile, like mother gives to a child." I froze my expression and maintained my usual stoic look and keep reciting in my mind 'Iamnotalolicon Iamnotalolicon Iamnotalolicon ...'

Next morning,

We all get ready with enough supply and other needs, the Ye group were on van and we were on the armored car. And while sitting I took the last seat to keep my vision behind the car. Alice alo was with me on my lap and she was literally attached to me, suppose it is due to saving her.

To keep her from being gloomy, I started to recite her many poems and she cheerfully keep following my words. And even started to make braid with my hair, I just don't get it how to braid hair, so I just let it open or a ponytail.

After some hour, we crossed the canal and stopped there. It was nearly noon and they decided to wait and spent some time before leaving. Because me we arrive late and it will near dusk reaching the border.

Some started to play with water and some keeping guard and scouting nearby area.

"Hey Kae-San change your jeans, it has become wet," And I was playing with Alice and because of that my clothes are wet. Sensei handed over her friend's clothes. I found one military jacket and for bottom only school school skirts are available, so I took a leggings for extra security. I tied my hair in ponytail and on left side left a braid hanging.

"You look cool in this get up." Saeko commented.

"Thanks." I remember something, I took out a katana from my bag and handed over to Saeko.

"Don't you need a sword?"

"I got another one, you can keep it as a gift." She literally smiled at my response.

A few hour passed we were moving inside the city town. And the whole town was silent. And the scene was great as the Cherry blossom are everywhere.

"Its them, Ahead and to the right, distance 300 m." Hirano shouts.

We turn our car and followed by van. Sensei speed up the car and on warning of Rei, it stopped as same as cannon, as Shizuka was going to make mistake and accelerate vehicle and suddenly apply brake, I stretched my hand and grabbed Rei's skirt to stop her from falling and my other hand was holding Takashi shirt.

But there was an extra problem, the van came and and due to sudden brake it turned and fell side way. I look at the wire to find it was spiky steel wire unlike anime which showed only plain wire.

I went to van and broke the door, even with restricted strength, I am able to break door, I pulled every on out and it was a relief that there were only minor injury. Many types of zombies rushes to us and with Hirano, Takashi, Rei and Takagi weapon we were able to hold, the difficulty has increased. I and Saeko were ready to kill zombie that bypass the firing.

"Hey, conserve the bullet, we will be on frontline, just support us from behind." As I shouted I ran toward the zombie horde. Saeko was using katana like a paint brush for her art of blood, meanwhile I was just beheading everyone without any mistake. Later the Ye team member also started to support. In this case grenade cannot be used as it will only attract more zombie.

But suddenly I saw zombie on Ye Feng side are more active and managed to injure captain and other members but Ye Feng ran leaving them there. I realized that whether I will run away like Ye Feng leaving there teammates in this situation? Am I using my teammates like him with deception?, or I am just considering this as a game? I was lost in thought about which I never considered.

As we were on pinch the firefighter team came and rescued everyone, one by one support were decreasing, I and Saeko were moving backward but still zombie surrounded us.*Tsk*

"Senpai let move above" same as cannon we climbed the stair but only difference is that I and Saeko will be going together.

Both of us were moving and as like cannon we will cross the area from other side. And I just went toward the store I saw before.

From the vehicle store I took out the buggy AVENGER 700,

"Who will drive it"

"I will be driving it" I replied

As we moved around the place. And we came across water we both became wet due to water splashing water due to vehicle. We stopped on the little uplift land between the canal and changed our dress. I was only wearing sarashi with skirt and Saeko was wearing the black shirt like cannon.

We entered the town but to avoid attracting zombie from destination I went different direction. And as moving I encountered the same fountain in anime, I grabbed my shirt and put it over me, and pulled out the sarashi. As I landed on the fountain, Saeko was again wet with water.

"Are you enjoying wetting me?"

"Yes, I like it." She just smiled on my response. And I left the buggy on the fountain tying the handle same as Takashi.

As we move killing zombie, we came across an orphanage and infected children were moving, Saeko stops and realize that she was lost in her own bloodlust. I grabbed her and find that same house in canon where they stayed for a night.

As we entered, Saeko was in gloomy mood, I brought a ice packet and put it behind her.

"I suppose you have calm down."

Like anime she tells me about her like she told Komura. She was waiting for my reaction. But I realize that I am also hiding something deep inside me, it was my guilt that I am hiding.

"Don't think me as good person, even I am guilty, I used deception to use other, I even view people as a character not as living being, I am even doubtful that how did I act with other like that, I am just greedy person who just think myself as a blessed and work for my greed, but I still never regretted as I am only doing for my own fulfillment and survival." I took out all my feelings, in outburst that I don't understand. But I will not regret saying this, even I feel lighter in taking out all of it.

<Saeko POV>

I never thought, I will see her in this way, whom I thought the most mature, but I understand a thing that she is like me no but more worst situation then me. She is hiding something like she knew everything about us and she put a façade only to make friends, but still she was with us till now proves that she still has conscience to help which she is not aware of.

I pushed her down, placed my knee between her leg and connected my lip with her. She didn't deny it. I realized we both are pathetically hiding our real self from other but still we care about one we love.
