Ch15 Stacking cards

"I've reviewed them and they are all ready for your signature ma'am." Hano's personal assistant said placing a file on her table. She was lost in thoughts, everything seemed to be going to well but Ciara seemed to hate her guts.

"How do you know if someone is jealous Tess?" She asked ignoring the file.

"I didn't get that ma'am." Tess replied tensed.

"It's fine. I'll go through the files. Clear my schedule for the rest of today. I have to go somewhere." She said as she stood up and carried her bag.

"Call me a driver." She ordered walking to the parking lot.

"Yes ma'am." Tess replied rushing to her office phone.

The drive to Vi's place was a long one that made memories rush through Hano's mind.

"Drive faster." She said feeling sick from the air in the car as the car went faster.

She alighted the car after the driver opened the door for her. She went up to Vi's room and went through her papers.

"Such a mess." She said tossing the papers on the floor without finding anything then she spotted something on the shelf.

"Well, look what we've got here." She said reaching for the box. She opened it up and looked carefully through the pictures she found then she saw herself with two strange looking women.

"They look really familiar...." She thought loudly as she took the whole box and headed bag to the car.

"Take me to the clinic." She ordered resting her head on the window.

"What brings you here Mrs. Hanora?" Elliot asked dropping the patients files he was going through.

"What's with the Mrs.? I know everything now so you can stop with the act." Hano said sitting opposite him.

"The title really suits you and Rey called me to inform me about his wedding coming up. I thought you were getting married so I couldn't wait to call you Mrs." Elliot replied crossing his arm flashing a big warm smile.

"He's just lost in his head. To what brings me here, I remember everything but I feel like there are still some fragments I don't understand and some faces I recall but can't remember meeting." She explained smiling back at Elliot.

"I don't want to assume you have Retrograde amnesia, we should run some tests. But I want you to take things slowly for now. You might have a completely hard time making decisions but it's not possible for you to remember everything. At least not this soon. All you remember is not all there is so don't push things, go slowly." Elliot explained as he walked over to Hano.

She was speechless by how close Elliot was to her, she could feel his body heat overlapping hers.

"Y...yes you're right. I'll leave now." She said as she stood up avoiding contact with Elliot.

**This is the best for you.** Elliot thought watching Hano leaving his office in haste. She shut the door and placed her hand on her thumping chest.

"What was that?" She asked herself confused about her feelings.

"Rey, why'd you tell Elliot we're getting married? I thought we've been over this?" Hano asked firmly as soon as Rey stepped into her office. She crossed her arms waiting for Rey's reply but she felt like something was wrong. There was a look in his eyes, a questionable one.

"What's going on?" She asked concerned dropping her folded arms.

"We won't be going back together today Hano and I want to respect your decision since you don't want to get married we can remain as friends but if you find that uncomfortable, we can just be boss and worker." He replied staring into empty space without an expression.

**What's happening? Why does this sound like.... He's dumping me? Isn't this what I wanted? Arrgh what's happening?!** A million thoughts ran through her head as she found words to reply him with.

"I-" She was about to speak up when he cut her short.

"I'll send your things back to your place. I have to leave now, I have a previous appointment. Excuse me." He said and left, turning his back on her not waiting for a reply.

"Wa-----wait.." She said softly watching his back view disappear.

**What's going on?** She asked herself as tears slowly started to pour out of her eyes. She ran to meet up with Rey as soon as she gathered her thoughts but getting to the parking lot, she saw Ciara leaning to kiss Rey. She was furious and marched towards them slapping Ciara hard across her face.

"Never touch my man!" She stated firmly standing in front of Rey.

"Hnao! What is wrong with you?!" Rey shouted angrily as he went to check on Ciara.

"Wh....what's going on Rey?" She asked with tears building up in her eyes.

"I'm getting married to her." He replied looking at her straight in the eyes.

"Why?! Why would you do that?! You....you asked me to marry you today!" Hano shouted angrily.

"She blackmailed me to marry her." Rey replied calmly glancing at Ciara.

"Wh...what?" Hano asked cooling down confused by Rey's reply. Ciara was shocked and just held her red cheeks staring at Rey.

"There's a difference between me and you Hano. I belong to a lot of puppeteers but you're mine only." He replied staring deeply into Hano's eyes.

"Rey! What do you think you're doing?!" Ciara shouted angry at Rey's words.

"You said you only needed me to marry you didn't you? Then my personal business is none of your concerns." He replied grabbing her wrists as he forcefully kissed her.

"That is the right amount of what you want right? Or should I just rip your clothes here in public?" He asked throwing her wrists down. Hano just stood still and watched Rey's mad attitude with her little heart thumping.

"Now, let's pack our things to your place babe." He said as he held Hano's hand and flashed her a gentle smilee.

**Fuck! He's like the devil's incarnate.** She thought just following him leaving a confused Ciara.
