A bright light encompassed Michaels' sight. He blinks a few times and rubs his eyes. In front of him was a burnt orange screen four feet wide and three feet tall displaying the words [Welcome to Vaeltro].
Under the welcome sign was a button with the word Start displayed. Feeling confused and a little out of his element, he quietly and hesitantly presses the button.
SHING
A bright light flashes with a sound, and the screen changes. [Please insert blood to determine faction locational repositioning.] Weirded out by this thing wanting his blood but with no other choice so far uses one of his canines to cut his thumb a little to give the screen his blood. The screen changes again and shows a few options for him to choose between. [Roman Family Options: Julii] [French Family Options: Carolingian] [Spanish Family Options: Habsburg]
Michael was confused by the French and Spanish options that were given to him, so he ignored those two options and looked to the Roman option and pressed onto its selection. [Please choose the race you wish to be part of.] He sees the options he was given this time and was astonished by the variety given.
[Man] [Elf] [Dwarf] [Goblin] [Orc] [Troll]
Seeing the possibility to be something other than a human got him a little excited. He thought over it and figured since he was going to be part of the Roman Faction, he might as well choose a race that would make a good pair with it. So he chooses the Elf option. [Please choose gameplay option: Soldier, Mercenary, Diplomat, Assassin, Spy, Civilian, Noble]
With a brief thoughtfulness over the matter, Michael chose the Noble option. [Congratulations, Michael, on officially becoming a part of the world of Vaeltro.]
SHING
Opening his eyes this time, Michael finds himself in the vast wilderness with ordinary Roman armor and weaponry with a small golden gem on the forest floor in front of him.
Seeing this, he slowly and cautiously walks up to the gem and picks it up. Burnt orange screen pops open in front of his vision. [Please name the village that you will be in charge of.] With a quick decision, he names it Ariminum. The screen closes, and slowly changes are made before his eyes. Slowly, a small building was built large enough for him to live in with a few houses also built surrounding his residence.
[Congratulations on officially building your village.]
A few people wearing togas came out of each house with a total of thirty persons arriving before Michael.
"Welcome, my lord to Ariminum. We await your instructions."
"Um," Michael gulps a little, "Hello everyone, we need to have a few people scout out the area around the village to start off and fifteen of you to start on building a palisade around the village to keep everyone a little bit safer."
"Sir, yes, sir." Twenty of the people leave to carry out the two tasks given. "And us, my lord?" A young male asks.
"Five of you need to make a suitable area for crops, and the other five will come with me."
"Sir, yes, sir."
With the five people following him, Michael walks toward his small residence and notices a small wooden tablet hanging next to the doorway.
[Construction Options: Wooden Palisade(In Progress), Governor's House]
'Hmm, well, I guess I already have them starting on the Wooden Palisade, so I guess I'll have them start on the Governor's Villa right after.'
[Construction Options: Wooden Palisade(In Progress), Governor's House(In Queue)]
Just then, one of the scouts he sent out came back. "My lord I have some news for you, we scouted out in a four mile squared radius around the village and found a cave filled with Black Wolves to the west and a small clearing to the east filled with wild game."
"Alright then, bring the other four scouts back to here, and we will go out and kill some of the wild game and bring the spoils back to the village."
"Sir, yes, sir."
Five minutes later, with the ten villagers with him, Michael set out towards the clearing in the east.
Hey everyone here is the next chapter. I have so many thought in my head on how to proceed from here so stay tuned.
