Calm

"Is it me or is the boss avoiding his wife "

Patty stood next to the other workers as they watched the two come in.

Normally since she returned, Snow would walk closely to Divean, but he seemed to avoid being near her. His strides larger creating a big gap between him and her.

"Don't gossip and go do your work?" she said to them.

She sighed and followed Snow to her office.

"Morning, you don't seem that well," she said.

Snow sighed dropping in her seat.

"I think I did something bad " she let out.

"What did you do?" she asked.

"I said something out wrong and hurt someone "she explained.

"Are you sure the other person was hurt?".

Snow nodded.

"The look in his eyes as he left is still haunting me " she frowned.

"Then apologize and say what you meant " Patty let out.

"He hasn't given me a chance to do it "

"Then make one...for if he's in a bad mood then everyone is going to suffer " she said.

"Huh, what do you mean?" Snow asked.

Patty moved to the door opening it wide and pointed out. They saw one of the employees leaving Divean's office, she was in tears.

Snow frowned.

"I believe it has begun," said Patty.

And just like she had predicted Divean was in a terrible mood. He yelled and condemned everyone's mistake.

Snow sighed hearing the yells to her office. He was talking to one of the managers about the delay of a project.

Not allowing him to defend himself he kept on yelling throwing his plans away.

"if you can't even do such a simple job then quit, we can find one better capable of it than a fool like you" he yelled.

A knock on his door stopped him from going on.

"Come in," he said sitting back.

Snow walked in and he frowned.

She breathed bending down and picking up the scattered papers.

Divean stood up watching her. The manager went down and helped.

"You can leave, " Divean said to him.

He looked up at his boss confused but Divean gestured him to leave. He rushed off leaving them alone.

"You can just tell him what is wrong instead of saying all that," she said

He sighed.

"You can't expect them to be perfect, we all make mistakes " she added.

"One mistake can coat at millions " he replied.

"Mmm..but that's why you're here. To make sure such incidents don't happen. But to do that you need to learn to work with them better " she said.

"They are hired to do their jobs not make mistakes for me to correct " he picked up the last paper.

She stood up placing the ones in her hands back on his desk.

"Yes, but they are human beings just like you and me. So go easy on them once in a while" she let out.

He gazed at her nodding.

"You need something?" He asked.

"Huh?".

"You come here for something " he pointed out.

She blinked, "ohh...yeah. I wanted to ask you out for dinner. "

"Dinner ?" He repeated.

She nodded. "Unless you have other plans this evening"

"No am free " he answered.

She smiled, "Alright, see you later then ".

Later Patty came to Snow's office.

"Did you do something to him?" she asked.

Snow smiled.

"He hasn't yelled or said anything hurtful to anyone since you left his office " Patty added.

"Am glad he calmed down "

"No one has even calmed him down when his in such a bad mood. What did you do?" she asked Snow.

"Invited him to dinner," she said.

"Dinner...and it worked?"

Snow laughed, "You said it yourself his calm now, so I guess it did ".

Patty scoffed not believing her boss fell for such a simple offer.
