Chapter 12: Rana Blaze

The Destroying Spear sect soon reached the entrance to the inheritance domain. The entrance was nothing but a steep mountain wall. The mountain was not very special either, Gong Yu had told him that the entrance would only appear here at the time of opening.

The surroundings were fully occupied with cultivators from different sects, their caravan was left in the hands of the mortals who would go to the capital to handle some business. Lance observed the different cultivators around him. The cultivators only talked with their acquaintances or friends, as people who could be trusted were few and far in between in the cultivation world.

The most common thing he observed were the gaudy clothes worn by nearly every cultivator, nearly everyone was in flowing robes with long sleeves. He then looked at his own clothes and felt a little embarrassed. But he soon shook it off as the mortal clothes were of no importance. Only artifacts could even be considered, as they could help in combat. Some clothes could stop knives and swords to some extent while others could help in cultivation, but each of the were very expensive as they required expensive and hard to find materials to be made.

Soon, the surroundings went silent as a powerful aura permeated the area. A lion whose mane seemed to be composed of orange flames was walking in their direction. It was huge, nearly 4 feet till its haunches and 8 feet long. As it came near a young man could be seen sitting on it.

"Rana Blaze! The Blazing sun sect sent him this time!"

A cacophony of sounds exploded as discussions burst out from the surrounding cultivators. Even Gong Yu and his group were excitedly discussing about him.

Gong Yu then seemed to notice him and said, "Brother Lance, that is Rana Blaze, the only cultivator with a 6-star talent in the whole Blades Kingdom. The only powers who can nurture such a talent are the top powers of the Qin Empire. But even they cannot have train more than 1 such cultivator at a time, as each 6-star genius takes a devastating amount of resources. But Blaze wouldn't be held in such high regard as any 6-star genius from a weaker sect is either taken away by a stronger sect and put under restrictions or killed in the cradle by their opposing powers. The rumor is that he was taken as a personal disciple by a Divine realm cultivator, he seems to have the Blazing Sun physique. A 6-star cultivator with a natural physique can cultivate with such speed with his element that he can even leave a cultivator with 8-star talent in the dust." He practically had stars in his eyes as he talked about the Divine realm.

All the discussions stopped and the cultivators greeted him after he arrived and stopped near the gate. He only nodded his head then closed his eyes to meditate. The surrounding discussions resumed but every now and then they looked at Blaze with admiration and jealousy in their eyes.

"What stage is his cultivation at, brother Gong?", Lance asked.

"It is rumored that he reached the peak skin stage not long before." Gong Yu then let out a sigh as he continued, "He is as strong as an elder of the sect at just 13 years of age.

"Brother Gong, don't give up hope. As long as you work hard enough, there will be a chance for you to reach the Divine realm one day!", Lance said optimistically.

Gong Yu only shook his head with a wry smile and went silent.

His teacher had told him of a legend. A man who was considered a God even before he had entered the divine realm. He only had an ordinary 2-star talent but with his sword mastery he could defeat even Divine realm cultivators with his peak First step cultivation. He had reached the mythical Sword God realm in weapon mastery. He dedicated his whole life to his sword and paved his path with determination and hard work.

After some time, the essence energy seemed to be dragged towards the mountain wall as a slowly rotating black vortex appeared. The vortex soon sped up, as the essence energy gathered as such speed that it was even visible to the naked eye.

Soon the vortex seemed to stabilize as the fluctuations in the surrounding essence energy calmed down. The cultivators slowly started moving toward the vortex, but Blaze immediately launched forward with his spirit beast. Everyone gave him a wide berth and only resumed moving after he had gone in. The stronger sects entered first but Lance noticed that only a few of the ones Gong Yu had told him about were here.

"Brother Gong, where are the rest of the sects?" Gong Yu immediately replied, "There are other gates like this in different places, sects go to the one nearest to them."

Lance nodded and went silent as he watched the cultivators slowly entering. Soon, their chance to enter came. Lance felt a jerk as soon as he entered the vortex, he felt like the organs in his body were being displaced. His stomach churned as the food he had consumed that day tried to make its way out .
