17. First sleepover plan

You shook your head once again of such absurd thoughts. As if that was ever going to happen anyway. You reminded yourself that you have a boyfriend, and doing such things to your roommate, out of all people, was simply ridiculous.

Speaking of boyfriend, your phone began to rang. You flickered your wrist up with your phone in your hand and realized it was Touya. A swift swipe of your thumb went across the screen before you glued it at the left side of your ear.

"...Hey, Touya."

"Hey, baby-doll, why'd you hang up on me before?"

"...Oh, um, I had some matter to deal with, why?"

"...Nothing," he murmured, "...it's just unusual for my girlfriend to hang up on me."

You swallowed, before you hoisted yourself up on the comfy bed and sat yourself against the pillow, knees curled like a triangle. "...sorry, Touya, I was just busy that's all."

"...busy with your roommate?"

"Huh...?" Your lips went slightly ajar, wondering how he knew of your whereabouts. "...well, yeah, it's the end of the day and...I'm always in my dorm with my roommate."

"No," he began gently. "...you're always with me by the end of the day, and I saw you following after him."

You curled your brow, pressing your lips together in sudden agitation at his change of tone. You let out a hefty laugh before you spoke, "...So? I had to make it up after you two had an unpleasant conversation."

"...It doesn't concern you."

"...What? It doesn't concern me?" you retorted, trying your best to speak as gentle as possible, yet feeling taken aback. "...Touya, I'm your girlfriend, I want to know things about you, and you seem to keep pushing me away and hiding things...just please stop hiding things from me."

"...sorry," he rasped, "Sorry, sorry, I just...do you want me to be honest about how I feel when you're with him?"

"Yes, please?"

"Well, it's gonna sounds childish, but..." he began, inhaling sharply. "...that lucky bastard, he gets to room with you, and I feel like he'll take you away from me, I feel envious, that's all."

Your eyes softened, nearly melting before you shook your head at his confession. "...Aw, don't be, I really like you, Touya, and for my roommate, well, we even admit that we hate each other, so there's that."

He laughed lightly. "Ah, really?"

"Yeah," you giggled. "And the reason why I tried to follow him and make up with him is because we're working on a project together, so it will definitely affect our grades if we don't get along, so there's also that."

"...Ah, I see, that clarified things better."

You gestured your arm in expression. "Yeah, it did, didn't it? So, Touya, I'd love it if we could work on becoming more honest with each other, that way we'll have clear air to know each other more."

"...right."

"Anyways, is that all? Cause' I have to work now."

"Actually, there's something I need to ask you, since you want to work on the honest factor, I'd like your honest opinion on this."

"Hm?" You perked up, smiling from ear-to-ear. "What is it?"

"How does a sleepover at my dorm tonight sounds?"

"...S-Sure," you responded, feeling rather excited of such a thing with your boyfriend especially, yet a creeping and haunting feeling pit down your stomach, which you tried to ignore. "...who else will be there.. possibly?"

"...Oh, do you want someone else over?"

You shook your head. "...no, no, that's not it, I was just wondering."

"...Well...my siblings will be there, if that makes you comfortable."

"...Fuyumi, Natsuo, and Shoto?" You asked, feeling much comfort in hearing their names.

"...Yeah, but...don't you want it to be just the two of us?"

You breathed softly. "...well, yeah, but...um, it will be more fun when there's more people, the more the merrier, right?"

"...Alright, if that's want you then, see ya later, my baby-doll."

"See you."

You hung up, inhaling a huge gust of air in sudden excitement before you began to jump on your bed, like a monkey. Possible ideas popped up within your mind on fun things you could do there, yet at the same time, you knew that you're practically an adult. Young adult. So, you assumed it would be something mature like just watching a movie before sleeping.

Yet, in the midst of it, you tried to ignore the haunting feeling in your chest of how Touya was able to find out that you were following Shinsou. You assumed that maybe due to your popularity and his own fame, he has eyes and ears everywhere within the people to find you.

Nevertheless, you pushed it aside since he was able to be a bit more honest with you on how he felt.

You quickly got out of your bed and rushed downstairs to prepare a smoothie. Per usual, Shinsou's beautiful princess followed you along, circling around your feet so adorably. Giving off a calming and cheery vibe as you made the smoothie with strawberries, but you managed to scare her off when the mixer made those storming noises.

As if on cue, the moment your mixer stopped, a certain someone spoke up.

"What're you making?"

You craned around, spotting Shinsou wearing a large light blue shirt with black sweat pants, but best of all, his hair was down.

You stood still, heart quite awe struck of seeing his hair much neater, slicked and combed back than the usual poofy one.

"...just some smoothie," you quickly responded before swiftly turning your back on him, and back towards the smoothie. You exhaled sharply, feeling another set of warmth to grow on your cheeks seeing him like that.

"What flavour?" He whispered in your ear, causing you to jump in a fright with tingles that shrill down your spine at his deep, smooth voice.

You playfully punched him on his shoulder with a forced glare. "Hey! Don't scare me like that! How're you so fast? You were literally just there one second ago?"

He tilted his head, eyes narrowed with a feline smirk. "...Weren't I ever mentioned that I'm a fast heart throbber?"

"Pft," you scoffed, concealing a chortle of laughter. "That's a new one, but...here's some strawberry smoothie, want some?"

"No thanks, I prefer something with purple."

"Ha? No wonder you have those purple eyes and hair, I wonder..." you drew closer with a slight tugged smirk. "...did you chose your genetics? Cause if you did, then I'm jealous."

"Nah, but you should be jealous, you don't get to see someone with these sets of phenotype around a lot, lucky girl."

"Guess so," you shrugged before opening up the cabinet to grab two large glass and began pouring it it in. "...You sure you don't want a smoothie?"

"If you're insistent, then at least make it purple."

"Ha? I'm just offering cause' there's plenty," you cajoled, leaning closer with brows raised. "Unless you want me to add food colouring."

"Tch," he scoffed, looking away with slight hues of red on his face, before turning back to walk off. His hands were pocketed within before he strolled off, giving a nice back view of his slicked, purple hair.

"...I'll get started with the rest of the research," he murmured. "...Better get me that purple smoothie."

"I don't have any purple smoothie!" You yelled, earning a chuckle from him.

"Then make it happen, sweetheart."
