-PRICE WILLIAMS' POINT OF VIEW-
"Hey! Hear me out, I discover something that could possibly give us a little hint" I stated directly as I finally reach their location.
"what is it?" Knight Drain walks towards my direction to grab the camera I handed over.
"remember Copper's case? no bruises, no scars, even gunshots or any sign that he was being attacked. He also found dead hours before someone sees his body same case as Mr. Andrew's right?" I started talking as they focus their sight on the lifeless body of the victim.
"so meaning to say Copper was also being poisoned?" Knight Drain added
"Ah Yeah! But that's not the point. What I want to say is that Williams is the only one who handles the forensics here in Realm and we have the privilege to study Mr. Andrew's body but anyone of us did not study or handled Copper's" I stated while looking at Copper's portfolio that every dead body have in this forensic laboratory.
"So meaning?" Gray utters without managing to analyze my statement
"Meaning to say that this might have a connection with Copper's case yet we can say it hundred percent because someone might've playing dirt in this situation. According to Price, Williams aren't the one who lead the investigation to Copper's and there's no record saying about his autopsy or any records on what was the real reason for him to die like that" Lock added as he shows an empty lab reports of Copper Richardson
"And the million question is who handled the case of Richardson?" I added as I continue to arrange his records in sequence.
"Yeah, we'll take note of that, but for now we need to observe Andrew's body for some evidences that could potentially help us to connect with Copper's case" Knight Lock utters as he gave each one of us a laboratory gloves.
"Price said he was poisoned; what kind of poison he uses?" Lock asks as he remove Mr. Andrew's clothes revealing his naked body.
"no bruises, no scars, no marks so therefore if he is being poisoned it should have an effect towards his internals right?" Knight Drain stated as he grabs the scalpel and automatically ripped the man's chest till it's waist. Blood squirts as Pendelton brutally cuts deeper as the internals finally revealed.
"Fuck! You're a demon" Gray hissed as he continues to watch Knight Drain's movement
"Yeah I know" He utters coldly as he finally reaches his desire look that is mere like a having a dissection.
"His lungs have been affected because he was smoking. Smoker's lung may have so much of this particulate material that the lung looks gray-black to the naked eye. Most of the time, you don't need a microscope to tell if someone is or was a heavy smoker. His Liver also has been damaged, he seems to be a heavy drinker. Alcoholics and heavy drinkers develop fatty liver, or steatosis. In many cases there are no clinical symptoms except for an enlarged liver." Gray explained as he was checking on every organ he sees
"And up until now there is no sign that our friend Mr. Andrew has been poisoned" Lock exclaimed as he handed us a mug of brewed.
"yeah, a smoker's lungs, drinker's liver and a heart that stops was the only thing I can see here" Gray stated as he recalls the possible results on Mr. Andrew's organs
It's been a couple of hours since we started gathering information and we don't see any failures or suspicious colors and inflammations on his body.
"what's a piece of information that we can automatically depend on that actually no one going to know?" Knight Drain confusingly said as he tries to brainstorm.
Heart suddenly stops?
Heart attack?
Stroke?
Or maybe…
Cardiac arrest?
Then it is possible that…
"Fuck! Hell yeah. Gray! Can you please repeat those phrases a while ago? " I gasps as I remembered what Lycko told me about the potassium
"ahm. Smoker's lungs? Drinker's liver and a heart that suddenly stops" he stated as he stops wondering around "Now what?" Gray stated as he does some stretches to wake up his system
"Heart that suddenly stops" lock repeats as he thinks deeply.
"So y'all mean that Andrew suffered from cardiac arrest?" Knight Drain mocked as he aggressively removes his gloves
"Cardiac arrest is a serious heart condition. The heart ceases to beat. It's also known as sudden cardiac death. The heartbeat is controlled by electrical impulses. When these impulses change pattern, the heartbeat becomes irregular. This is also known as an arrhythmia. Some arrhythmias are slow, others are rapid. Cardiac arrest occurs when the rhythm of the heart stops. It is an extremely serious health issue. The condition can cause death or disability. It can be fatal." Gray explains it as he was looking directly on the victim's heart
"So what now? Our conclusion is just Copper and Andrew suffered from an idiotic cardiac arrest and all of us just waste our fucking times for this stupid investigation, having a so-called supremos or leaders that wants to take revenge to this fucking Pendelton of Realm and loss the one we love because we think that it is a mystery yet it was just a natural cause why human died?" Lock hissed out of depression
"No, it's not like that" Knight Drain hissed
"Then what? We can't be just one sided here! Let's just be opened for the possibilities! Or maybe Andrew himself drank a fucking potassium chloride to end his luminous life under your privilege house arrest" Lock hissed as he drank his coffee and taking a deep breath
"You're right!" Gray clap as the both of us looks towards each other giving each one a hint about what happened.
"The easiest and best way to kill someone is by potassium. We all know, over the counter potassium chloride drugs which is very easy to purchase on any part of this town. So, Mr. Andrews might have been poisoned by a chemical and not the thing as we expecting it to be" I stated giving each one a hint on what kind of chemical we've been facing
"So, the culprit will inject it in the bloodstream and it will cause cardiac arrest within minutes." Gray explains professionally
"Yet, we can't find any signs? Is it possible?" Knight Drain asks as he sit down on the chair besides the body
"Best thing about it, it can't be detected on autopsy because by that time of any chances the potassium level has already lowered and besides humans have natural potassium on their bodies." I added to guarantee them that I am seriously sure about my conclusion
"There is a possibility that the potassium is not being serve by drug but being serve by an fatal injection" Lock said
"But we can't see any injection marks on his body, even in genitals and buttocks" Gray added checking if I was sure on my statements
"Just to make sure that the culprit can really get away with murder. Just in case, he can hundred percent injecting it under the tongue of his victim because injection marks are kind a suspicious right?" I gasp to get some air "but if he injects it under the tongue, by the time we conduct autopsy or investigations, the tongue has already atrophied and retracted, so there will be no any visible marks." I stated as I show them Mr. Andrew's retracted tongue
"but how can the culprit injects the chemical in Andrew's current situation?" Knight Drain thinks on possible way on how the culprit injects the potassium inside Mr. Andrew's body
"By making Mr. Andrew smokes a marijuana or any kind of drugs and just to make sure the killer may also make our victim drink many alcohols as an elixir that may help the drugs to effect quickly." Gray utter as he was looking on the lungs and the liver.
"And it also explained the strange smell on his room" I added
"but it is because of his body's waste materials" Knight Drain tries to contradict our ideas
"it is given to have a smell like that but didn't you notice how strange it was to the point that it is not only the smell of his bowels. There is something" I added as I finally speaks out all my ideas.
"Seems our killer do his job clean" Lock stated handed us the records of Mr. Andrew. So this must be the reason why he was on the corner, he's recording the ideas we discussed
"Seems our killer deserves an award for doing his job clean and seems we can congratulate him for poisoning one of our evidence" Knight Drain stated as we finally decided to clean up and handed the corpse to our men to finish what we started.
"Then, what are we going to do now? Seems like there's new poison lurking around the town" Lock stated as he presses the button of the elevator.
"Are we sure that the new poison is not the one whom Angelycko encountered?" Gray said looking blankly at the steel door of the elevator
"I'm pretty sure that she killed the bastard" Lock said full of confidents
"it's not that I doubt Lock's statement but we're not even sure if one of the leader was already dead or still alive and kicking, according Lock, they leave the body still functioning, though there is a great chance that Lycko probably killed him yet there still a one percent chance that he survived the fatal punishments Angelycko give to him. About the cyanide y'all been questioning, yes it is fatal and could lead to certain death but hell for Pete's sake he's poison and there's a great chance that he injected antidote before fighting" Knight Drain stated which gives us chills and goosebumps
"If Knight Drain was right, then we should probably make them pay for what they've done to our sister" Gray hissed and clenched his fist
As we reach the floor where the quarters located we immediately gathered in front of the table for discussion
"isn't that hypocrisy?" Knight Drain said sarcastically as he grabs a glass of rum and sit comfortably on his spot
"then what do you want me to do? To sit here and wait for the bastard boyfriend to bring the criminal in front of me?" Gray raises his hands grabbing Knight Drain's collar.
"Wait! It's not time for any indecency!" Lock shout trying to stop them
"Hey, we can't solve this if we fight" I said as I remove Gray's hands on his collar
"Now the nerd Price was talking" Knight Drain seems to challenge everyone but instead of fighting back, I just ordered each one to take a seat and think for any possible way.
"We don't need to deal with each other, as long as we have the same intention and as long as we're on the same side then we continue" I added while staring at them
"So what now?" Gray hissed
"We will continue the case" Pendelton said effortlessly
"and then what Pendelton? One of us will die again, like Lycko? fuck yeah! I can't risk another life for this" Gray utters contradicting pendelton's plan
"So what do you want, to just take revenge for your sister without even knowing the real reason behind this shit and if that'll happen the other side also take revenge and we repeat the same shit over and over until all of us die, is that what you want Williams?" Pendelton raise his voice showing superiority
"Shit! Drain!" Gray shouted and stand up acting as if he will be going to punch the great Pendelton
"Enough!" I hissed before Gray do his stupid idea.
"Looks like you know a lot of information Great Pendelton, why just you don't confess that you have a connection to them?" Gray hissed as Pendelton started to trembles
"is that true Drain?" I calmly asked but instead of answering back, he punches Gray's face continuously
"hey! Cut it out don't show your stupid superiority here Chase" I hissed but we can't manage to stop their fight
"Your actions speak a lot Knight stop your bullshits and talk to us! Do you fucking have a connection to them?" Lock manage to stop his punches that makes Pendelton trigger.
"I don't have any connections to anyone, I just pissed with his stupid face" he stated and spit out saliva from his mouth "you know nothing"
"Then let us know everything!" Lock shouted that makes us shock
"If I tell you everything is it matters? If I tell you everything will all of you trust me?" He said as he punches the wall
"Is it us? Or is it you who can't manage to trust us?" Gray utters frankly
"We don't need to torment him just to tell us the truth. The truth will eventually go in front of us" I stated and sigh deeply
"Will start investigating tomorrow, but for now we need to refresh both our minds and soul to avoid indecency" I stated and finally leave the lab.
