Chapter 0ne - French fries
I glimpsed at the mirror opposite me from the hospital bed I was laying on,
"Who is she, " I said looking at the reflection in the mirror, it was a beautiful brunette with ocean blue doe eyes, a small slim face,e, a sharp jawline, and dimples on both sides of her cheek, she had model's body with huge hips and a small waistline ... She wasn't beautiful... She was drop-dead gorgeous
My name is Carmen Courtney Conner aged 17, Six months ago I was in an awful accident leading to me being in a coma for Six months with no body movement
SIX MONTHS AGO
"Mom, I going out, my friends and I are going out to eat," I said looking at the clock hanging on the wall "5:22"
Ughh ... I'm going to be late now
" Okay Car , don't be out too late okay"
"I won't mom"
I walk into the garage after grabbing my Car keys. I walk towards where my White and Pink Jeep was parked and got in.
"McDonalds"
I said looking at my phone at the location Chloe Hudson had given me, I removed my gear from the park and put it in drive, and proceeded to go to McDonald's
I parked in an available parking space at the Mcdonald's parking lot and proceeded into Mcdonald's. I sat at an empty table as I waited for the arrival of others
20 minutes
40 minutes
1 hour had already passed and no one had yet arrived
I sent a message to Chloe asking if they had to take a rain check
Are guys still coming
Yeah, Just a change of plans, will soon be there
Alright
I switched off my phone and went to the counter to order something to snack on while waiting for the others
I went back to my table, watched a movie waiting for the fries I ordered
I was given my fries and I ate it
I had gone halfway when a group of people walked in I instantly recognized Chloe in the group and a few cheerleaders and Jocks surrounding her, they walked towards me "Hey Piggy ... I mean Carmen, Slow on the Fries, won't want u getting any fatter, okay" Chloe winced at me as the others snickered at her remark. I looked at the half-eaten fries before replying " Oh yeah, I got quite hungry waiting so I thought I'd snack on something"
"You call that a snack" She pointed at the half-eaten fries "No offense but that's why you are so fat and nothing like your famous mom, I sometimes wonder how you are related " she smiled looking at me up and down.
"Anyway let's eat, what would you all like" she changed the topic now looking at the others for a response, they all said what they wanted anand shut their attention to me again " You heard them, go get it," she said seriously.
"Me," I said confused at why she is asking me to do that
"Yeah, who else"She laughed at me
"Ok, I'll get going," I said standing up from my seat and going towards the counter once more, I told the guy behind the counter the orders and waited there for them, I was given 10 trays and was made to carry them all with no assistance.
I carried the last one which was mine and walked over to my seat, "Omg, you want to still eat more" Chloe gasped.
"Yeah"
"you don't seem to understand" she took my tray that was in front of me and poured her soda on it "piggies, don't eat, get it through your fat skull," she said glaring at me with the most devious smirk.
"Piggy made me lose my appetite, let's go" Chloe glared as she stood up from her seat, soon with the others following behind her like pooches.
"We haven't paid yet," I said attempting to get Chloe's attention
"We?...Haha... You mean You"She turned back, looking at me with cunning eyes and a devilish scowl.
Me ... I thought to myself after they had bought such expensive meals and wasted it
"what... I thought your mom was rich " She said before leaving with her squad
Those asses how do they expect me to pay for all these without mom finding out I took out my credit card and gave it to the person behind the counter to swipe for it
After paying, I left to get my car from the parking lot, I got in and put my gear in the drive, and commenced my drive home
I got home around 8 pm and immediately started walking to my room "Your home, Car?
" my mom said
"Mom again with asking the obvious "
"Sorry, it's a habit"
"By the way Car, I saw that u spent 500 dollars in a Mcdonalds, doing what if I may ask"She asked.
"Nothing mom"
"Spending 500 isn't nothing dear if it was somewhere else I'd understand but a Mcdonalds," she said
"Mom, you act as though we are poor, but we aren't, You are fucking billionaire "I snapped
"Carmen what's gotten into you"
"why the fuck did you make me fat and fucking ugly," I said letting tears stream down my face
"Who said that, who said you are ugly," My mom said trying to approach me, she slowly raised her hand trying to find me.
"Don't fucking touch me, mom, I hate you, I hate everyone and I hate myself for making me this way " I stormed down the stairs back into the garage and opened my car door, I put it in drive and left the house for some fresh air
I looked into the rearview mirror at my eyes fat covering them, I felt disgusted myself for what I had become, the fat piggy the subject of every person's joke, I stopped looking at the mirror, too disgusted by myself
Slowly, I became regretful of what I said to mom, I stopped the car and put it in park in the middle of the road which was empty, I put my head on the steering wheel and closed my eyes, everything was hazy and all I could hear was regret and hate towards myself, at that moment it was only me and my thoughts, I slowly looked up, everywhere still hazy and blurry, the last thing I saw was a truck with bright headlights blaring its horn at me before a screeching sound and a crash, even in those moments, I didn't think of my mom, happy moments or my loved ones who would miss me, all I could think of was the end of the fat piggy.
