Chapter-07

Getting out of the online taxi, Sophia grunted. Her house was like an uninhabited house with pitch darkness and lots of dry leaves in the yard. Because she was too busy today, Sophia forgot to bring some plants that could be planted in front of the house and also on the side of the house. Sophia thought this empty lot could be used to grow vegetables and also some flowers that could be sold if the flowers. At least there are rose trees and cacti, it doesn't matter to Sophia, the important thing is that there are green plants that make this house beautiful. But because there were too many orders, Sophia forgot.

The woman entered more support into the house, in this row of houses only Sophia's house looked dark alone. Until the white and yellow lights turned on brightly, Sophia hurriedly cleaned her dirty yard and also inside the house. Occasionally looking around this fairly quiet housing complex but there are so many houses with open doors. Maybe they can visit each other, or maybe some people come to their house with important needs.

After cleaning the house, Sophia headed towards the kitchen. She quickly cleaned up all the stale leftovers from the morning. Sophia thought that her two in-laws would finish the food she made again earlier which wasn't that much. But when she went to the store and didn't go into the kitchen, Sophia found out that Shaka also didn't touch his breakfast like his mother. She was on a diet and only drank tea when Sophia could have made toast or something else Mia liked. But she doesn't like it no matter how long it takes.

Since there was still rice in the house, Sophia decided to take out the ingredients in the fridge to make her own fried rice. She was lazy if she had to go back out just to buy food, especially since her body was very tired and wanted to rest quickly. She was also lazy if she had to wait for food which was quite long, Sophia was also afraid of falling asleep if it took too long. Finally, she decided to cook fried rice instead, which is simpler and more economical. In this house there is no pet, so Sophia is confused about where to dispose of leftover food if not wrapped in a plastic bag tightly.

Taking half an hour, Sophia finally finished her cooking quickly. She decided to eat first, then went to shower and sleep. But to Sophia's surprise, the door of this house was opened with a bang, as if someone had broken it from outside.

With her mind in turmoil, Sophia chose to bring a kitchen broom to protect herself. Limping, Sophia made her way to the living room. There Sophia could see Shaka who had just arrived with labored breathing and a disheveled appearance. Sophia immediately lowered her broom which was about to hit Shaka.

"I thought it was a burglar earlier because I forgot to lock the door," Sophia said with relief.

"Where's Papi?" she asked with bated breath.

"Papi?" Sophia mouthed, as she looked around the house with furrowed brows. "Didn't Papa come home this morning? You can go to Papi's house if there is something important," she said.

Hearing that, Shaka immediately looked at Sophia in disbelief. How could Petra go home without telling Shaka first? Not to mention Petra had just called Shaka and asked Shaka to come home immediately. She knew Shaka was working overtime, and Sophia had just come home. Even Petra also said that if he was waiting for her at home, Shaka thought his father was still in this house and hadn't come home yet. Even though they didn't see each other this morning.

"Papi came home this morning? He just called me Sophia." Shaka emphasized every word, so Sophia wouldn't lie to her.

"I'm telling the truth. Your papi came home this morning with a driver, I wanted to call you but your papi told me not to. And when I came home the house was already dark, there was no one but me." Sophia finally explained.

Shaka cursed in his heart, if he knew his father was not at home why did he have to go home and see the time defect in front of him at this time? Moreover, Shaka had promised Valery to stay at her house. But what happened...

Entering the house Shaka decided to clean himself up. She was so annoyed with her father who liked to mess up her plans. Did he know that Shaka had another woman besides Sophia? If he knew, his father would have realized that his son never loved and wanted this marriage to happen. And what his father should do is find a way to get Shaka and Sophia separated quickly. Then, will this marriage be maintained?

"Yes. And it must be you. There's no way you'd suddenly call and ask me to come home when you know I'm working overtime." Shaka accused, suddenly annoyed at the incoming call from Petra.

Sophia knew Shaka didn't like being home because of her. But Sophia could have sworn that she didn't ask Petra to call Shaka to come home immediately. After all, Sophia was also self-conscious about it, she knew Shaka was busy taking care of the family business. Shaka was also busy with the existence of her lover Valery, how could Sophia want to add more burden to Shaka's life?

That woman didn't ask Petra to contact Shaka when he was working. After all, Petra had also gone home since morning, until Sophia went home, Petra did not return. Sophia also felt relieved and happy when Petra didn't come back to this house. Even if Sophia needed something, there was no way Sophia would contact Shaka. Didn't Sophia already say that Sophia would not involve Shaka in anything in her life? That's why Sophia didn't contact Shaka if it wasn't important at all.

"If it wasn't you, who else would it be?" asked Shaka angrily.

"I don't know. Maybe it's your papa's initiative to know that his son doesn't like being at home after marriage."

Shaka rolled his eyes lazily, "Think about it, what did we get married for? I'm not one hundred percent wrong, everyone wants to have a wife they can be proud of. A wife he loves, hey, a lifetime is not a minute. Unless one of us dies first."

"You want to die first, Shaka?" Sophia's innocent face made Shaka's eyes glare perfectly.

"You die first. There's no point in living, if it's not to marry me, what man would want to marry you!"

Hearing that, the flowers that had been blooming suddenly withered. Indeed, the wrenching words were able to make Sophia smile slightly. That's right! What Shaka said was right, if Sophia didn't marry Shaka who would she marry? What man would want to marry a disabled woman like Sophia? Just walking she had to drag her feet slowly, she was an unlucky woman to live on earth. If she could choose at the time of the accident, maybe Sophia would decide to die rather than live but receive so many insults throughout her life.

"You must have brainwashed my papi not to trust me."

Sophia's gentle gaze became a terrifying one for Shaka. She also noticed the annoying look on Shaka's face in front of her. "Use what soap? If I had that intention, I would have done it a long time ago. Unfortunately, I'm not the person you had in mind!"

"Oh my! So why did papi suddenly call to tell you to come home quickly? If not you, who else, here only papi dong likes you."

"I know. That's why I want to invite you to work together, you want to separate from me quickly, right? I know how, Shaka. I also don't want to follow you because of this marriage, while we don't love each other."

Shaka, who was interested, immediately changed his sitting position and looked at Sophia intently. "Tell me, how?"
