After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. She thought they could have parted ways forever, but Michael refused to stop looking for her after the divorce. When they met again, she was the world's top designer. Smiling sweetly at her ex-husband, she said, "My dear, we're already divorced." Michael simply stared at her coldly, "Tell me, what will it take for us to reconcile?"
"Mummy, don't cry," Leah sniffled and reached out her little hand to wipe Wendy's tears.
She hadn't been crying, but when she saw Wendy cry, she couldn't help but say, "When you cry, Mummy, I can't help but cry too."
"Okay, if Mummy doesn't cry, Leah won't cry either," Wendy said with a gentle, guilt-ridden tone of voice and wiped her tears again.
"Mummy." Leah pointed to the merry-go-round in the distance and said, "I want to play the merry-go-round again. Mummy should play with me."
Leah suddenly wanted to play the merry-go-round again. Wendy knew very well what this move meant.
Even though she was sad herself, she was still doing her best to be mindful of Wendy's emotions.
Reaching out to pick up Leah, Wendy kissed her little cheeks and nodded as she said, "Okay, Mummy will play with Leah."
Wendy and Leah went to play on the merry-go-round while Timothy and Todd took Jake to play something else.
