After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. After checking with the doctor repeatedly, Michael finally traveled to Queen's City by car with Wendy the next day.
Michael arranged for a spacious eight-seater car and even brought a doctor with them.
After Wendy got into the car and saw the doctor, she asked in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
Dr. Lee reached his hand out, adjusted his spectacles, and glanced at Michael powerlessly as he said, "Mr. Lucas asked me to come along with you."
Wendy turned to look at Michael. She did not know whether to cry or laugh.
