“And, here we are...” Mason paused, taking a good look around the room we had descended towards.

Assuming he could see of course.

I?couldn't see shit, save for the dim glow of the stairs we just descended on.

“Utter darkness I suppose?” Mason glanced over at Thomas and although I could not see his expression, I can assume it was sarcastic.

“We're lost.” Thomas snapped in reply.

No shit.

I heard what sounded like Thomas searching around the room for a light switch but subtly gave up when he found none.

A few moments later, he took out his phone and turned on the flashlight so we could see our way around.

Mason and Malorie turned on their flashlights while I hung back, letting them lead.

We were pretty deep in the basement at this point, but as we pass by rows of storage and crates it got pretty evident that we were boxed in.
