Aina have you lost your mind ?you look like a  deranged person

"what if i have,what you gonna do?" her eyes are already bloodshot red.

"wanna taste how it feels like to be in heaven?" she drags her to the bathroom amidst her endless protests that fall on deaf ears.

with no feeling of empathy her screams and resistance make her even more excited.

"You psychopath let me go " she makes an attempt to bit her arm

whack!" Shut up you old hag why do you like making things difficult for once in your life just shut the fuck up and comply like the sweet woman I want to see" the leather belt leaves a bluish stripes on her arms.

"mother dearest weren't you taught to never fight a person who holds the reins?"

She holds onto the bathroom glass not wanting to be dragged like some dog

"Aren’t you itching for some more whacking old hag.

Bang !! the glass door shatters she yelps in pain as she holds her injured hands.

"See what you did ,since when did you become a donkey .so stubborn"

She pushes her in

The smell of ammonia  sends her to coughing fit.

"water, water please get me water my chest is burning and my throat is very sore" her face contorts in pain as she holds her chest, she is experiencing shortness of breath

"Relax it won’t kill you, here puff some more the burning sensation will cease

she roughly pushes her away while pursing her lips to a thin line.

She cocks the gun and places it on her temple

"Is it rough play you want ?am all game, don’t you know that"

involuntarily she pats her lips while brasing herself for the worst

She stuffs the pipe into her mouth," now puff it like a pro"

she inhales in and puffs it out she coughs but not like before

She can feel her lungs burning and her chest feels like I has been set a blaze     

"p..please water water"

she shakes her head " I don want it my head is hurting I feel like my insides are on fire ,I need water"

"ask for water one more time and I will make you drink urine"

stuffing the crack pipe into her mouth ",have some more it will vanish even before you know .One puff at a time don't be hasty just do it slowly with class. you will feel better ,the more you puff the better you will feel"

minutes later she struggles with Aina for  some more

"no no you have had enough if you want some more you have to pay"

"money?  I haaave it and loooots of it ", she fishes out her necklace "

"a necklace it wont fetch much she sizes it up before throwing it aside.

"stupid that’s not your normal necklace it’s the key to my safe"

"a safe??her eyes twinkle with greed

"and where is the safe?"

it s like she is speaking to herself.Mrs Su' is already high that her words an incoherrent.

"this stuff is real so damn real

oooh I feel gooood like am on top of the world"

she rans to the balcony spreading her arms out she screams and laughs in an absurd manner.

"whooooooo I feeeel damn goooood

I feel...."

"Get down mum aren’t you afraid of heights?"

I was but not any more"

She dangles like a bat holding onto the grills

"Where is that safe…."

 "somewhere…you know it has lot and lots of goodies

I was just a step away and you almost ruined it all.

You almost ruined it ,for my daughter you are just so stupid

Its like everything is twirling round and round

"Her mind is hazy and vision is getting blurred Aina why are you dancing, your face looks scrunched and with a twisted mouth you sure are damn ugly

I won't be surprised if Cleve grows tired of you

You aren’t as beautiful as her and the worst part is you are a fruitless tree, like a barren piece of land ,very beautiful and strategically placed but barren".she laughs loudly as she mocks her some more.

Her words are like sharp daggers cutting her heart to pieces

"If not for me you will be nothing , nothing but a pretty face with a bean sized brain."

Aina’s eyes glint with excitement

"You have always been scared of heights is the view bewitching from where you are?"

Forgetting where she stands she twirls ,her foot slips

"Damn that was close I almost missed the step. why is the staircase so deep"

She struggles to maintain her balance.

Her heart skips a bit mother lemme fetch something to hold onto, hang on and don't move"

The next moment Su lies on the ground covered in a pool of blood

seeing Cleve she bowls her eyes out 

"Cleve my mother, my mother is gone"

"what happened?" looking at the ghastly sight his stomach churns

in a pool of blood lies Mrs. Su with her brains splattered all over the place.

"holy shit! he throws up all the contents in his stomach.

Excuse me the sight is just too much. Turning to his fiancée he asks how it happened.

"I ...i was "she breaks down some more.

As she is loaded into the ambulance the shaken Aina is left in the care of Cleve

"Sir we will come back when her emotions are stable. For now we are locking this place up ,we need the scene uncontaminated".

surprised" lock it up how about me where am I gonna stay this is my house"

"for now you will be staying at my place ,you need people around  and till we establish what happened to your mother your safety is my topmost priority."

She smiles weakly as she leans in to his embrace

"Cleve I thought I had lost you, thank you for being here".

"Stop spouting nonsense am here aren’t I, who says you're losing me?:"

placing the postmortem reports on his locker he salutes

"the test results are out, Mrs. su was high on crack"

"is that the cause of her death?"

"I think so ,when someone is high on drugs they tend to have a poor sense of judgement thus she must have jumped on her own".

"How many floors down? 'He looks at the small looking girl before him and feels like shoving the reports down her throat.

"Two floors down"

"Two floors down and her brains popped out? are you for real even a trainee policeman in his second year would do better"

he chuckles " as policemen we do things based on facts and evidence not just mere conjecture, do you even know what you are saying. its the second crime case you are involved in and you are already behaving like a seasoned police officer''.

She hates how this people diminish her because of the gender and being a new member .

"I might be an amateur but my observational skills are way beyond yours. Wanna make a bet?"

he hates her confidence she is so full of herself.

"Sir! she turns to her  supervisor ,allow me to have a look at the crime scene".

Though she came highly recommended from the police academy her contribution to the double homicide case made Mr. Malta  to take interest in her. He saw a self driven and talented individual since then he had allowed her to take part in field duties not like her counterparts who were stuck in desk work.

He loved  the guts the most. She dared to stand up to her believes.

Her meticulous nature helped capture what most of her colleagues had overlooked thus making a major contribution to the murder case.

He knows he shouldn't play favorites but he loves her attention to detail and keen eye.

inhaling deeply, "you better not fuck me up".

"That won’t happen sir".

"Anyway don’t  be too serious on yourself take it as a learning opportunity ,pulling her aside ,try to maintain a low profile ,you already stepped on many toes and pissed off way too many officers for my liking".

she smiles like a kid with candy in her mouth. 

"sir!"

"Pluto we all must start from somewhere ,neither do you like her nor hate her what do you really feel?

don’t think I have not noticed the longing look in your eyes when staring at her.

if you want to capture her heart don’t  think even for a second acting as a villain will put you at an advantage."

Scratching his head, "sir  that is not …." 

"Pluto I know what I saw or are you trying to say my eyesight is failing me?"

"No sir I wouldn’t dare say that."

In the locker room she picks the necessary stuff for the field work

Some two colleagues walk in locking the door behind them .she smells trouble from a distance but not in the mood for their ranting she lets her guard down .

"Well well see who we have here, the great miss Shally"

She goes on with her activities, deaf to their negative comments

Gathering her stuff she heads to the exit but they block her path.

"aren't you so free ? I would have loved to partake in your little games but sorry to disappoint you I have a case waiting to be solved" .She smiles at them in a mocking manner

Laughing the give each other a high five "oooh what you scared?

Isn’t your darling supervisor coming to the rescue?

"Rescued from whom, you? My goodness ! Girls don't you think too highly of yourselves ?I don’t even see a reason as to why he has to come."

Its like she is reminding them that they are nothing but little rats seeking for attention.

Laughing sarcastically " I love your bold talk but I wonder if this will make you swallow your tongue"

she punches her stomach as the other restrains her hands

on the ground they descend on her with fists, she tries to fight back but its like they came prepared.

"two against one, isn’t that cheating?"

startled they immediately get on their feet.

"Attacking a colleague in the locker room, I wonder what  your supervisors will say?

looking at their name tags "Anita and Shane, lovely names but bitch like characters".

"so you came here to defend your girlfriend, not bad. However with your looks you can do better".

On her feet she hits them with the same intensity, more brutal than theirs.

"I warned you countless times not to mess with me, we are no longer in the academy. here I can be the thug I wanna be".

On the ground they groan in pain," one more thing he isn’t my boyfriend " she bundles them up before tossing them like some trash to the garbage bin

"Wohoo!  was that really necessary .A beating was a good lesson but trashing them to the garbage bin don’t you think you over did it?"

Seeing the look on her face he lifts his hands "My bad they had it coming, so you now am on your side.

Damn where did you learn those moves? "he imitates her

Swoosh! With one move he lays on the ground groaning in pain. Kneeing his middle part "this is how you do it’"

"yes ma'am" he salutes her making them both laugh.

Its like the clock had stopped at that very moment, bewitched by her lovely smile and a set of white teeth his

heart skips. He stares at her like a love struck teenager with a feeling of awe.

"Pluto pluto pluto! shaken from his trance he almost jumps

"ye..yes what? what were you saying"

"nothing ,just wipe that silly smile off your face ".

he literally wipes his face with his hand making her burst into a loud and hearty laughter.

To him its like the sun has shone on him .seeing the two deep dimples on her cheeks he feels deeping his finger in them.

"Pluto are you for real? I didn't mean it in such a way .My goodness"
