Finally, the time has come for me, or should I say, for us? To go to a certain place that the invitation letter mentions.
Sei is wearing her sandals at the moment I turn my eyes to check on her behind me.
I then think to myself:
Ahh... This will be difficult; what if I am the only one that is invited? And Sei gets rejected? What will I do? Will I leave her somewhere nearby? You see, I am the only one who is directed by the invitation, so it is reasonable to worry about her.
Well, I think I will just give it some time later.
Let's go! Sei excitedly calls out to me.
I then touch the wall besides the door while having a moment of sightseeing inside. To the dining room, to my room, and around the whole apartment. Good! Everything is well!
I then shut the lights off and closed the door.
We then departed from my apartment. Leaving it alone for awhile is pretty saddening, to be honest.
Now, we have been looking around the town for a clue as to where in the world this address is pointing.
Yeah, the address of this certain place is pretty unknown.
We look for it in the worldwide communication search guide, but it shows zero results.
A worldwide communication search guide is a device used for searching different issues depending on what categories an individual is struggling with. It's just a simple computer app, to shorten my explanation.
"Sigh. I think we should ask the elders of this town, for they might have some history with this place. What do you think?"
I talked to Sei.
"Huh, Yeah, It's just that I hope we are not being fooled."
Sei replied, laughing a little.
Yeah right! hahaha!
I also laugh and put worrying aside.
In a pretty old-fashioned great house, you can see us walking down the concrete stair.
You can see the look on our faces—pretty irritated with weary eyes—resulting from the unsuccessful attempt to gather information from the old guys.
"Ahh, the old man has been caught up by the fireballs, huh?"
I uttered it lazily, for I can no longer think of any other ways to look for the invitation's address.
Well, searching it on WCSG is the easiest way, but it even shows no result. What else can we do? We might have been fooled after all.
Sei then replies:
"Yeah, and no one else among those that are around had any idea about the location. We really have been struck by a different level of bad luck."
"And to think things more rationally, there is no certainty if the dead old guy even heard about the place," I added.
We both lower our heads and synchronically let out a sigh."
I then saw a kid wandering around. I impulsively talk to it, saying...
Hi there, little kid, did you know where the spiritual house, the family of hope and the future, is?
Sei then reacts, " huh? What does this guy think he is doing? Is what her expression says.
The kid really tries to dig out his memory only to answer and probably to help me out, and it almost makes me laugh.
The kid then answered...
"No, but I will ask my parents."
"pfft. Ah no, don't bother. Well, of course, right?!! Ahahaha."
I then turn to Sei, heartily laughing, though it only makes me freeze my happy face. The only thing I do is slowly close my eyes and slowly lower my smile as I look at her. A... Aha... Ahaha?
She is looking at me with a weary, annoyed face that can easily be understood as... How lame...
She then averted her gaze and turned up her lip a little, and then she let out a pfft sound.
Knowing nothing about the happenings, the kid shows an expression of confusedness through his slightly smiling, astonished face, then reacts, "Huh?"
The kid is really trying to help.
Upon hearing the kid's reaction, Sei then laughs pretty hard, femininely.
The kid then laughed with us without knowing anything.
Ahahahaha!!!
Yeah, living in this town is really fun.
Somehow, seeing Sei laugh like this is pretty relieving to the senses. As far as I can recall, I had never seen her laugh. Not even once.
We then continue on our walk.
"What are we going to do? No one knows about this address, let alone this magic thing."
Sei asked, losing hope of ever finding the "certain place" .
"Let's head for the kingdom capital! The reason will all be found in the grand library of historical books!"
I reply, expressing a tone of eagerness.
Sei then, without any hesitation, follows my lead.
In our way, I have seen those preachers calling out to the public. No one is listening, though.
I didn't let the chance slip away. I immediately approach the guy and ask him...
"Where is God? How can I be acquainted with him?"
The guy gently smiled because he was relieved, then answered
"If you are already seeking God, then rest assured that you are already acquainted with him. Continue on your righteous act, and you will be delighted."
I am not satisfied with the answer. Then what will happen now if I do get acquainted with God? How about the power I am trying to obtain? I think to myself.
I then ask furthermore...
"Who are those guys that save the kingdom? Why do they have such kind of power?"
"Aah, them? What are you saying? A human is a human, and no human has ever owned a power. If what you see is a human, that's it."
I was terrified by his reply.
"So those people are..."
I am very terrified while I am unveiling their identity.
"Humans—the guy finished my words—
I frowned, pretty annoyed, and said
They are just humans after all!
I subconsciously spread my arms in front of me towards him with my hands wide open.
I am too eager for more explanation because his answer is so broad.
"You said humans have no power, but what's with those guys?"
I ask much more eagerly.
"Yeah, they are humans; that is why they have no powers."
The guy replied,
I then subconsciously flexed my fingers for his answer, which doesn't even make sense, and reacted...
"Huh?!!!!!!"
Sei then started laughing beside me upon seeing my reaction.
It's not even funny, to be honest, but I am glad she is happy.
Knowing there was no direction for my questioning, I just let out a
"Sigh"
"Let's go," I uttered spiritlessly.
When I was about to leave, the guy called out to me and seemed irritated.
"Do you really want to know God more than you already do?"
I stop moving and attentively listen to what he is about to say.
"Then fill yourself with the holy spirit!"
"Holy spirit? How would I?"
I doubt his suggestion because I know the whole kingdom is already filled with it.
The Holy Spirit means good will. If a person does good deeds every time with no taint of wrongdoing, then it is what you call a holy-spirited person.
"If you are already filled with the holy spirit, then what you still lack is the holy spirit of God!"
"Come with me!"
"I will take you to the God's kingdom. But do note, there is no retreat to this. If you finally learned the God's laws, please do note that if you do waver and fail to fulfill god's will and go back to what you are now, then expect that you will be filled with the blazing wrath of god instead of his holy spirit. You can picture what happens if god is the one that gets angry, right?
Gulp. I have been stuck listening, which causes me to swallow.
"Well, what will be your response?"
I then reply,
"I will think about it."
The guy happily smiled and replied.
"Well, That is a good reaction."
The guy then continued on his walk, preaching in public places.
The sun is already setting on the horizon.
I and Sei are sitting on a bench beside the lake. The lake's surface is yellowish and reddish due to the reflection of the yellow sky.
The same color of lights sparkled due to the movements of the lake's surface. There are also these different fish that are jumping all over the place, which makes the scene much more beautiful. The successive arrival of these little waves due to the pushes of the wind is really mind-calming.
It's just... Our mind is far from calm at all, for an entirely different reason.
Yes! Our mind is blank, which is why it's calm!
We can't think of anything for our response to the question!
I myself have been so zealous just recently looking for God, but it seems I am not sure anymore this time.
And Sei here by my side is just enjoying the view, probably hoping she doesn't fail if she does accept the offer.
Just what does that guy really mean by law? It is possibly not that hard, right? I just have to say yes, and I can finally become strong. But...
I am not sure.
"Sigh"
We stay in town and rent an apartment because it is already late. I am standing on the roof, and my forearms are resting on its fence. From there, I am seeing this astonishing star.
After a moment of thinking, I remembered something and said...
"Is it not exactly the same star me and my father saw that day?"
Upon remembering these things, I started to tear up. I suddenly remembered the words my father said:
* We might have been given an award by God, but being a holy person is not that easy after all. *
I then utter
"Say, is not my family worshipping god? Then why do they die without receiving any help? Moreover, God is an unknown being. How did my father even know about it? Is it because of those preachers? Well, I think it's obviously yes. But if so, why is my family so weak compared to those guys? Those guys that effortlessly killed the catastrophic monster?
There are many questions I have, but...
The thing bothering me is, Who is that murderer that specifically killed my family? It's not like my father had a bad relationship with anyone or whatever that attracts death intent.
Without any clue why my family gets killed,
I then turn my gaze upward and utter...
"Hey, God. Are you real or what?"
