Universal Calamity [BL]

Kai is a wolf shifter, someone who is half human half wolf. He has a tragic past, and is hated amongst his pack. Everything changes for him once he meets a guy named Kayden. He is Kai’s mate, even if Kai doesn’t realize it at first. Will Kayden and Kai still be together after they learn about each other’s pasts? Or will they stay together, and fight for justice? Authors Note: This is my first time writing a book, so it won’t be perfect. I’ll try to update as much as possible. If you don’t like this story then uh, I’m sorry. I tried my best. Warning this is boys love, and has some abuse, and gore in it. I hope you enjoy, and let me know what you think of it. :D (Might be R-18 scenes in the future, I’m not sure yet. Also, the cover art is not mine)

Kai

Chapter 1

Kai

I was walking to school, after I had dropped my cousin, Joseph, off at his elementary school. People kept staring my way, but I was used to the looks by now. It wasn't because of what I was wearing though. Heck, everyone was wearing the same uniform as me. It was probably because of the rumors that had spread around about me. I was the resident omega, I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted nothing to do with me. I wouldn't either. I was just average in the looks department, if you ignore all of my scars that were hidden underneath my long sleeved shirt and jeans. I wore a white button up shirt, with jeans and a belt. My black jacket could also be seen. I was wearing my school uniform for Blorè High School. My hair was a bit messy, and black in color, with a little white at the tips. My eyes were a bright ocean blue, and one of the only things I liked about myself, because my eyes looked like my mothers. On top of my head, there were two wolf ears, covered in black fur. Behind me, there was a long fluffy wolf tail that was swaying back and forth as I walked. I was a shifter, half wolf, half human. This was the norm for people, and people didn't even bat an eye at someone walking around with animal features. Some could even see other shifters walking to school. Some half lion, some half fox, some half rabbit. There were so many different ones, that it would take too long to list all of them. Besides the shifters, you could also see regular humans walking around as well on their way to school.

I was in the courtyard now, and was playing on my phone as I waited for the bell to ring for class. It had taken me a while to finally manage to be able to afford a phone, because of how much it cost. I tried my best doing part time jobs before and after school, but I could still only manage to get a cheap low budget phone that didn't run that fast. I was playing one of these new games I got on my phone, and was relatively good at. I had been trying to beat my high score in my free time, which I didn't have much of. 'Come on, I'm almost at my high score! And… Yes, I beat it! Take that you stupid game!' I thought to myself while I smiled triumphantly. After another minute, I was interrupted by two other shifters walking towards me. I could smell their scent getting closer, but I was too scared to move or look up. 'Not these guys again… it's just the beginning of the day, and they're already on my tail. I can't ever catch a break.' The next thing I knew, my new phone was smacked onto the hard concrete and cracked. Great, all that work just to get a somewhat decent phone was thrown down the drain. My anger took control of my body, and I said, "Hey! What was that for, you cracked my phone!" Once I realized what I said though, regret instantly filled me. "Hey! Listen you useless omega, you bow your head when the alphas son walks by!" "I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were there. C-Class is starting soon. I-I should get going.'' It took me everything I had to not run away from where I stood, knowing it would just leave me with more bruises if I did. The pack also had a hierarchy of sorts, depending on what kind of rank you were in the pack, you were treated differently. Of course, it's not the same for every pack, but my pack despised those who were weaker than them, and made sure to remind me of what my place was. Omegas are the lowest ranks in a pack, and are generally rare. There are most commonly female omegas, but at times there can also be male omegas like myself. Although, it is considered even rarer to see a male omega. Alphas are different from the others in the pack, because they have red eyes. Of course, they can hide their true color of their eyes, if not for trying to show supremacy over the other wolves. Once alphas show their true eye color, the other wolves can't disobey what the alpha says. In front of me stood the son of the alpha of my pack, named Brett Fetcher. He was next in line to being the alpha, and was all high and mighty because of his title. Next to him was Brett's future beta named Ben Sillson. Him and Brett would often come and remind me of my place in the pack, like I forgot or something. I was a part of the "Blue Moon" pack. One of the many different packs in the world. The Blue Moon pack was the local pack in town. "That's true, I wouldn't want to ruin my perfect attendance." Brett smirked maliciously. "But, we won't let you go that easily." Ben added. After that, Brett punched me in the face, giving me a blackish-purple bruise on my right cheek. I whimpered out in pain, as I fell on the concrete floor, and scraped my hands as I used them to brace my fall. "You never learn do you? If I see this kind of attitude towards me again, you'll be getting a lot more than just a punch." Brett said. After that, both of them walked away to get to class while laughing. I touched my face where Brett punched me, and I winced in pain. I didn't have anything to cover up this new bruise on my face, but it's not like it mattered anyways. People still found some reason to stare and make fun of me. Even if my other classmates weren't from my pack, they still stayed away from me, trying to not get involved with me and my beatings. My first class of the day was Biology. I headed over to my classroom, already having a feeling that today wasn't going to be the best.
