Wyernthrope - Part 1

Five minutes ago:

Dominic witnessed how easily Heero killed Luca Lane and his five trusted subordinates. He even saw Luca's eyes being gouged out by Heero before the poor guy was killed. Six Emperor class heroes were killed just like that.

Heero did not look at Dominic. He looked to the south.

"They are coming! Do you want to come with me or go to the underground city?"

"They" in Heero's mouth were the people who were coming for him. The specter's main purpose was to kill Heero, not Sun City. So the Specter's main force should be in the core region.

Before Dominic could give his answer, Heero broke the glass and jumped towards the arena.

"Why did you ask me if you were just going to leave me like this?" Dominic murmured in a low voice.

Then he walked over to the broken glass and looked at Heero. He looked at the empty dome with a sigh.

The Sun City branch of the Hero League had boasted that the same incident would not happen again. They had improved their image with this event, but now it had backfired.

Without Heero and SES, Sun City would be taken over by the specters. He had known about the attack for three days.

Three Days Ago

When Dominic had just come out of Heero's mansion, he checked the folder in his hand.

There was a new piece of paper slipped into the folder with a few words on it.

[If you want to know what happened, come back tomorrow morning :)].

The smiley face that made Dominic smile. He smiled back and waved his hand at Heero. Indicating that he got the message and would come.

The next day Dominic returned to Heero's mansion. Inside the mansion was a path that led to the underground city.

He was shocked to see that there was another city right underneath his city.

That day, he knew that the specter would launch a major attack. He knew that his boasts meant nothing to the specters.

He also learned that half of the Emperor Class Heroes had turned to the specter's side.

Brmmmm!

As Dominic's mind raced, he felt a slight vibration. The floor vibrated, interrupting his train of thought.

He immediately jumped out of the room as well. When he arrived next to Heero and was about to ask who was coming, Dominic saw a crowd of men in black enter the dome.

They filled the stands and surrounded them. Dominic drew his long sword. He was ready to fight, but then...

Boom!

A man with a brawny body wore sleeveless armor and held a spiked gauntlet entered the arena, he looked around and grinned at Heero, "Looks like I am not late for the party!" but Heero ignored the brawny man.1

'Your boyfriend?' Dominic started to ask Heero but was interrupted as four people emerged from the arena, two teenagers and two women.

"What the..." Dominic did not even know that Heero had modified the arena. Suddenly, the city he grew up in seemed strange to him.

He recognized all four, two women were Heero's wives, Bai Xin Yue and Kang Seo-Yeon.

The other two were Heero's young disciples, Kang Dong-Woo and Xu Lingxun.

"Why are they coming too?" Heero pointed at the two teenagers.

The enemy they were about to face was not only specters but humans as well. He was worried about these two youngsters. They had never killed a human before.

"They insisted, so I let them follow us. It's only a matter of time before they have to get used to killing anyway, so it should be okay to take them with us," Kang Seo-Yeon replied to Heero.

She was Kang Dong-Woo's sister, if she said so, there was nothing Heero could do.

"Don't force yourself and stay close to me!" Heero instructed them in a serious tone.

"Yes!" Kang Dong-Woo and Xu Lingxun replied loudly as they drew their weapons. Xu Lingxun had two spears while Kang Dong-Woo had two swords.

"Get ready! They're coming!" Butcher Wang struck his gauntlet, making a loud noise.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

After that, Butcher Wang rushed down from the arena. He faced thousands of men in black.

It was a brutal fight as the men in black swung their weapons at Butcher Wang. There was no technique or anything, it was like a street fight.

Butcher Wang easily dodged all the weapons aimed at him by taking two steps back.

"Taste my fist!" Butcher Wang's gauntlet glowed blue as he shot the fist at the head of the closest opponent.

Bang!

The head exploded as blood splashed around. At the same time, a fist made of blue ki shot through the exploding head and hit the people in the back.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The head of the man in black exploded like a balloon.

At the same time, Kang Seo-Yeon pulled her bowstring as hard as she could. But then an arrow of flame formed.

She let go of the bowstring and the flame arrow shot through the people in black.

The flaming arrow pierced the chest of the first man in black. It went on to pierce the second, third, fourth, and tenth people.

At the same time, Bai Xin Yue jumped out of the arena and touched the ground with her palm.

Swoosh!

The ground froze, and the people on the ground also froze. Hundreds of people became frozen. A few seconds later, the frozen people cracked and fell to the ground.

Their frozen bodies shattered into pieces. The frozen flesh scattered everywhere.

At the same time, the two teenagers also rushed to the crowd of men in black. They fought hand in hand against the overwhelming enemies.

As soon as the men in black came within their reach, they would either die from being cut in half or the spear would pierce their heads.

In this way, the inundated enemies were slaughtered before they could reach the arena.

Dominic watched from the center of the arena. He was shocked to see five people holding off the enemy so well. Not a single enemy was able to reach the arena.

"It seems I have to help as well..." Even though these five fended off the surging enemy well. It was only a matter of time before they were exhausted.

Just as Dominic was about to join the fight, he noticed something forming in the air around him.

Spears were causing a golden flame to form in the air. It was not just one or two spears, but hundreds of golden flame spears.

Then the flame spears moved out. All the flame spears shot at the men in black who were sitting in the audience seats.

The flame spears moved in a circle, circling the seats, impaling the men in black around the seats.

Dominic was about to take his first step, but he stopped immediately when he saw this.

"It seems my help is not needed..." He muttered dejectedly. It was at this point that Dominic had noticed the gap between him and Heero. They were not in the same class.

"What is this? Did they send these people to get my head?"

Then Dominic heard Heero's voice grumble. He saw that Heero was frowning despite the one-sided slaughter.

Then he saw a flaming spear bring a man in black to him. The man's left shoulder was pierced as his body dangled from the flaming spear. Dominic could tell by the breathing that the man was still alive.

When the spear reached Heero, he pulled off the cloth covering the man's face.

Behind the cloth was a man in his early twenties with pale white skin. Dominic saw that the man's eyes were dilated and his black eyes were moving around, unfocused.

The man looked like an idiot to Dominic. But he could see that the man held the sword tightly and tried to strike Heero.

Heero sliced the man's neck and brought two more men with flame spears to him.

This time the two men were in their early thirties. They looked older than the first one, but they had the same expression as the first one.

"As expected, these are the people they brainwashed and strengthened, but why did they send these people to me?"

Heero cut the throats of the two men as well.

Dominic did not understand Heero, but he found that these people in black did indeed look so weak.

While Dominic wondered what Heero was talking about, shadows hovered over him. He could see the shadows reflected on the floor, many of them.

Dominic looked up and his pupils dilated in shock. It was because he had never seen such a creature in the sky before.

Its upper half resembled a dragon from a fantasy movie and its lower half was humanoid. It had a large wing on its back as it hovered in the sky.

"It's Wyernthrope!"
