Can't Remember Anything

Selena felt so peaceful, it was like she was sleeping in a dream that would never end. Someone touched her shoulder, then called out Selena's name in a voice full of concern.

"Selena..? You… are awake," Matthew said when Selena had just opened her eyes.

Selena noticed Matthew's smile. From the expression on Matthew's face, there was a sense of relief because he had found Selena.

"Matthew? Why are you here?" Selena tried to get out of bed, helped by Matthew and she managed to sit up. 

Matthew helped cushion Selena's back so she could sit comfortably.

"I…?" Selena looked around her. "Am I in the hospital?" Selena guessed confidently when she saw that there was an IV tube embedded in the back of her right hand.

"Don't you remember?" Matthew sat on the edge of the bed as he took Selena's hand, gripping it tightly. 

Matthew's gaze seemed sad, but there was a small smile he showed Selena.

"What?" Selena asked confused.
