"Argh!"
A high-pitched voice startled the man who was sleeping, causing him to wake up, and then he turned his gaze to the side. "What's wrong? Why are you screaming?" Demian asked while continuing to observe Sherina.
"Since when did you come back?" Sherina's gaze still clearly showed signs of confusion because she remembered that last night, Demian wasn't by her side, and out of annoyance, she had locked her room door.
"When did I leave?" Demian asked back as if nothing had happened, and his expression appeared very relaxed.
After a moment of thought, Sherina tried to look at Demian more seriously. "Don't pretend; I know that you weren't by my side last night because you left!"
"No one left; maybe it all just happened in your dream?"
"No, I wasn't dreaming! It was all real!" Sherina felt very sure of what she had experienced."I woke up in the middle of the night last night, and you weren't by my side!"
"Last night, I slept with you; how could I not be by your side?"
The discussion continued, but Sherina became more confused about how to express everything, so eventually, she tried to ignore the issue. "Forget it!"
A small smile appeared on Demian's lips, making Sherina wonder. She stared at Demian seriously. "Why are you smiling like that? Do you feel successful because you've fooled me?" Sherina's suspicion grew.
"No," Demian replied casually.
"Then why are you smiling like that?"
"We just got married last night, but it seems you're already afraid of losing me?"
Sherina was shocked to hear Demian say that, and immediately she shook her head. "Don't be too confident; I'm just surprised when you came in and how you returned to the room, not because I'm afraid of losing you!"
Sherina got up from her bed, but feeling a bit dizzy, she ended up falling back onto the bed, and quickly, Demian caught Sherina, causing her to fall right into his lap.
"If you're still sleepy, let's continue sleeping. Where are you in such a hurry to go?" Demian asked in a gentle tone, especially the way he gazed at Sherina was so intense.
Seeing Demian's beautiful brown eyes, Sherina felt frozen, especially from below, she could clearly see Demian's handsome face with a sharp nose and pale white skin that seemed like a corpse.
'Why does this man look so captivating and why does my heart always beat so fast when I'm with him?'
Sherina was truly puzzled by this; she tried to calm her increasingly erratic feelings when she was with the stranger she hoped would make her life better but only added to her confusion.
Cuph
Sherina's eyes widened as Demian lightly kissed her forehead, and she immediately got up with a face full of anger. "Who gave you permission to kiss my forehead?" Sherina asked angrily.
"Should a Husband ask for permission from his wife before kissing her forehead?"
Demian's light question made Sherina speechless; she wanted to say that Demian was just a replacement Husband, as she didn't want to marry Jackson because he had cheated on her and had ill intentions after marrying her.
"Whatever, forget about being a Husband! I'm hungry!"
Demian's gaze focused on Sherina as she got up from the bed after saying she was hungry, but Sherina went into the bathroom.

After cleaning herself, even shampooing her hair, Sherina caught a whiff of cooking, and then she walked towards the kitchen and was surprised to see Demian standing in front of the stove.
"What are you doing?" Sherina asked as she walked towards Demian.
"I can't cook much; this is all I can cook."
Seeing that Demian had cooked steak and prepared juice, Sherina thought seriously. "Where did you get the meat?" she asked with a serious expression.
"I bought it. Do you want to eat human flesh?"
Sherina was shocked by Demian's answer. "Am I going to eat human flesh?" Sherina was annoyed. "I'm not a vampire like you who eats human flesh!"
Demian fell silent for a moment, trying to figure out whether Sherina was serious or just talking randomly about vampires. "Who said vampires ate human flesh?" Demian asked.
"I don't know; I was just talking randomly!" Sherina replied, then she cut the meat and tried to enjoy it.
"Your cooking is delicious; I never thought you could cook!" Sherina praised as she continued to enjoy the steak Demian had made.
"It's good that you like my cooking." A happy smile was clearly visible on his lips, showing the happiness he felt as he watched Sherina enjoying her meal.
"Is this beef, not human meat?" Sherina asked as she observed the piece of meat she was about to eat. "I'm afraid of turning into a vampire if I eat human flesh," Sherina continued while chewing on the meat.
"Just so you know, vampires don't really like human flesh; they prefer blood over meat."
Sherina's eyes widened suddenly, and she abruptly stopped chewing, looking at Demian very seriously, while Demian raised an eyebrow casually.
"Continue eating, don't worry about what you don't understand."
"Hmm! I'm suspicious of you; could you possibly not be a real human?" Sherina asked with a very serious expression.
