She handed me the pliers and I pulled most of it out except one in my thigh she had to pull out. I barely grunted and got in the shower while the wounds healed she asked about what Cameron said and I told her John was barely an adult when I met him so I don't know much because I never looked into his memories. I told her we shared everything from the day he got me out of that hell hole to the day he sent me back in time not because he didn't think they wouldn't be safe with the metal bitch, but because he feared for me and what would happen if they ever infected me with metal nanites to control me since they couldn't kill me.

I told her about the John I knew, the one that had his mother die two years ago of cancer and sent back his own father just so he could be born and his mother could live long enough to teach him to survive. I got out of the shower and she handed me a towel as I told her. "The John you know isn't the John I know, not yet anyways. Though it hardly matters because things have already changed so much I wouldn't recognize him anyways. You were dead by now, I was being pulled out of a nuclear radioactive crater by metal and sentenced to a decade of torture, mutilation and death repeatedly last week if my understanding of the date is correct."

She asked. "So we're safe then?"

I grunted. "Nowhere's safe. The rest of the world is fucked."

She frowned and I shook my head. "It's something John and I used to say to cheer one another up. When he pulled me from hell, I asked if it was safe and he said nowhere was, so I told him to take me to nowhere. I wasn't exactly coherent, but it stuck and when we figured out how, we built the free cities of Nowhere, safe from the metal, untouchable by great energy generated barriers that short circuit all forms of metal."

She nodded and asked what my mission was then if John sent me back to keep me safe from the metal. I grunted. "To keep you and him safe at all costs. I never cared about the war, all I cared about was keeping John safe from metal the moment he pulled me out of hell. Everything I learned, everything I did, I did for a friend and brother that kept me sane when they were cutting into me and pulling me apart piece by piece, day by day. I'd go through hell and back again for John so despite his reasons and real intentions, my mission hasn't and will never change."

I stepped up to her and grabbed my clothes she'd brought as she breathed in. I told her gruffly. "You're stuck with me Sarah Connor, to the end of the line or at least till the metal gets me and I become a cyborg or whatever they turn my immortal ass into if they can."

She breathed in deep and looked up at me. I looked over her nearly black dark brown hair and her very familiar features just like the metal bitch. I wasn't so weirded out by her so when her pupils dilated, I felt attracted to someone for the first time. I told her in a grumble. "Either leave or tell me what you want because I've already made myself clear."

She had to have felt me pressing against her stomach because I could smell her attraction to me. She went to leave and shut the bathroom door…with her inside. I was in her in under two minutes and damn was she tight. We were back in the shower and very thorough this time for both of us.

The water was cold and our skin a bit pruny when we exited, but that didn't stop me from setting her bare ass on the counter and continuing until we were both a bit, well, fucked. I dressed while she complained that I came like a caulking gun and it was like glue in her. I told her it's been a while since I'd been with anyone. She asked how long and I shook my head. "I don't really remember, but before the nuclear war some near forty years ago by my perspective."

I sighed. "Time was weird, it kept changing small things at first when people and metal went back, like the future was fluid and yet solid. I just…don't know. I don't even remember what it was like before 1997, just who I am and a bit about my abilities."

She asked how useful my abilities were and I looked to her before looking to her stomach and slightly sore opening. With a bit of effort it flushed her body mostly, leaving a little further into her. I told her as she sighed. "That's not all of it, but most. You'll need a douche or something similar because if I try further up I could damage your body in very delicate ways. My abilities have their limits, but they do have their usefulness as well."

She said she'd keep that in mind and I nodded before I shaved. When I came out, John was there and I raised an eyebrow. "Is something wrong?"

He replied to me. "You tell me."

I shook my head. "No, though if you have a problem you should tell me John. I can only protect you as much as you trust me. If this is an issue-"

He shook his head. "It's not that."

I nodded and he clarified. "I was just wondering if you knew Kyle Reese."

I nodded. "He was a friend of John's and he's Derek's brother. I didn't exactly make friends John, if you want to know about Kyle you need to ask Derek."

He sighed and went to walk away before I told him. "Kyle was a good man and a good friend to you in my time. He was also a good father despite him being dead now. He sacrificed everything for you and your mother, that much I do know because you told me that and you never told another soul as much."

He smiled and thanked me, asking if we were close in the future. I nodded. "We spent more time talking telepathically than you did your grand speeches that were both long and boring. The others are it up, but damn we're you long winded when you wanted to be."

He smiled and asked what it was like so I spoke into his mind, telling him to think and I'd hear and share my own. He asked to see the memories if he could and I shook my head. "We're trying to change the future John, not haunt you in the here and now. Ask your mother and if she agrees I'll show you both everything you want to know, but not before."

I left him with that and got some rest on the couch while Reese made sure the metal wasn't going crazy. Sarah woke me up saying they needed to get papers. I got up and grabbed the money from under her bed before taking out twenty grand. I put it in my jacket and strapped up, telling her. "Derek and I have ours, but you, John and the metal will have to find someone. Our papers guy is dead and things like this takes time and practice to master. I was too busy building bombs and other tech to master it myself."

She sighed. "I know a guy. You, me and Cameron will go. Derek can stay here to watch John."

I nodded and Derek went to hand me the laser magnum and I shook my head. "Keep it in case another one shows up here. I can handle metal unless there's more than half a dozen or a liquid metal. If there is that gun won't do anything but I want it back when I return."

He nodded and we left, heading to see Enrique who sent us to his nephew who told us about 9/11 and we cut a deal for twenty grand. I put the money on the table and he told us to come back tonight for the pictures and paperwork. We left and Sarah stopped Cameron from killing a cop. I got us a new vehicle, this time from impound and we headed back to the house with John later that night.

After the work was done, Carlos said he was thinking we'd have gone another ten Gs for them. Sarah said his uncle Enrique would be proud. We went to leave as Carlos switched to Spanish and when they called Enrique a rat, I stilled before we continued on. Derek took John home with the metal and my gun while I had a basic Glock and told Sarah to go with them.

She said no so she came with me and I killed Enrique after she spoke with him. I told her while he was on the broken coffee table he'd landed on with a bullet in his head. "He called the FBI wanting to sell you and John out. He didn't give specifics but he wanted cash and a lot of it for your information he planned to steal from Enrique."

She asked if I read his mind and I nodded. "He was a threat and I took care of it."

I held up a hand at the body and the bullet flew out before I started an electric fire in the walls next to his liquor. We left while the house burned and with it any evidence tying us to him. I cleaned the guns when we got back and Sarah put Cameron on watch while Derek went out to do whatever he and the others were doing before things went down. Sarah pulled me to her room and shut the doors, using me as much as I used her.

Days later she found the photos and paper clipping Derek was studying. She asked me about it and I told her I didn't know nor care because my mission was simple, protect her and John, the rest wasn't my business so she'd have to ask Reese. She asked about his last name and I told her he was Kyle's brother and John's uncle. She asked if John knew and I nodded before she asked if Kyle knew and I shrugged.

I sat up on on the bed and put my shirt on sighing. "I don't make it a habit of reading people's minds inside this house. Out there where there's danger it's different, but I'd rather not invade the privacy of someone's mind in here unless I have to. It was a rule John and I came up with because the more minds I read, the less of me there is in the end. It becomes harder and harder to differentiate who was thinking what and whose memories were whose. John said it made me colder, like one of the metals…cruel."

I slid on my boots and looked to her. "I don't read his people's minds or memories unless he asks or there's something he wanted us or me to learn. The rules keep me sane, safe to be around people. You can't have a mind more efficient than any computer's and not have drawbacks."

Sarah nodded and set it down, telling me as she shoved me to sitting. "Teach me these rules and show me everything."

I kissed her, pulling her shirt off as I spoke into her mind, telling her after, when her mind is relaxed so it doesn't hurt her as much. She popped her bra and my shirt was next. Hours later we lay entwined as I showed her the future as I remembered it, walking with her through the memories and warning her things had already changed a great deal. She saw the hardships, the decimation, the camps, the dead and finally John.

She saw my memories of it all in order like a movie on fast-forwards when things got slow. I taught her skills to know and learn, how to kill metal in under sixty seconds. How to disable them and remove the chip, where to cut, how to make traps and weapons that trigger resets and how to destroy the liquids with coolants and heat rapidly to fry the nanites.

I showed her how to track, survive and avoid them or prepare for them in open combat. Where to aim, when to stop firing and how to improvise if you need to run and have one on your ass. She saw the cities of Nowhere, saw me working night and day to carve them out, make them safe and ensure they had food, water and sewage. She saw the generators John and I built from first wire to full on nuclear powering taken from metal's.
