Chapter 18

She remained safely guarded within the castle for days under Alaric's protection, knowing that Xander would arrive along with the others, but when they do so is still to been known.

Blaire found her way down into the cage chamber where Alaric kept his prisoners, he appeared to be busy thinking on who to drop before noticing her emerging from the doorway.

"Ah, Devina sweetheart. What are you doing here? Daddy is kinda busy dealing with his prisoners at the moment" Alaric's friendly father demeanour instantly shined when she came into view. Prisoners around them remained silent staring down at the human looking lady, and a slowly visible bump, but no one other than her father knew she was pregnant.

"We'll.. I was wondering if you could see where the boys were? I'm worried if something bad might've happened to them" Blaire asked coming up peering up at her father with worrying eyes. Silence hit as Alaric felt a dagger pain go through his chest when seeing such things and couldn't say no.

"Anything for my little princess. I'll go and check for you, but next time please knock first. As I could've been beheading someone and smearing their fresh, red, iron smelling blood across the stone floor" Alaric replied in gruesome detail of what he could possibly be doing right now, but she appeared unbothered not exactly seeing the issue.

"And? I've seen murder, blood and guts before and done it plenty of times myself against my will. Dead bodies aren't exactly that scary anymore" Blaire truthfully spoke still unfazed my the thought of witnessing her own father murder someone before her very eyes. Alaric let out a satisfying huff, knowing at least one of his offspring doesn't cry or whine over something so stupid, like him killing or torturing his prisoners who deserve it. Not everyone gets away with a free pass on life.

"At least one of my children likes to cause mischief once in awhile, hehe. You are truly something else starlight, a miracle in my eyes and I'm glad we have finally reunited. I couldn't have asked for a better daughter than the one I've been gifted with" Alaric's words were sweet and brought tears in her eyes, upon finally hearing kindness come from someone in her family that actually cares about her. He panicked when seeing Blaire start to cry and used his wings to cover the view of a vulnerable, heartwarming moment he was having from his prisoners. "Please don't cry, I didn't mean to upset you starlight" he whispered gently wiping away any and all tears that continues to stream down her cheeks.

"It's okay. You didn't upset me.. I'm just overwhelmed to have finally been told sweet things from a family member other than slurs, death threats and abuse. It's just all new to me, and my hormones are all over the place right now" Blaire responded placing her tiny hands on his along with a little sniffle, thanking Alaric for his kindness and worries even after just reuniting almost a week ago.

When hearing about this horrifying aftermath of what she had endured for so long angered him. He thought of actually going over and starting a war with the bastards who caused her to feel so unappreciated because of some curse. Blaire when noticing the fury went silent as he pulled away his beastly hands not wishing to involve her in the rage he wished to let loose.

"I suggest you go back upstairs and grab something nice to eat, I'll join you in a minute once I've let off some steam" Alaric suggested along with a warning that at any moment he could get aggressive, and she obliged allowing him to do what he needed.

Once she was out he lowly growled to himself, clenching his clawed hands tightly with drawing blood, baring his sharp fangs as his slit black pupil golden eyes glared up at the prisoners.

"That bastard.. He will pay for what he has done, but I can't loose control now for my daughter. So who's going to be the unlucky one to become my new stress toy?" Alaric growled to himself before a smirk came across his face when thinking of ripping his claws into someone's flesh. "Ah-ha!" He jumped up to a nearby cage and cliched on the cage's bars with his huge beastly hands. His tail excitedly flicked when seeing the fearing creature that curled up at the back of their cage, this unfazed him as he ripped it open grabbed them and thrown them around like a cat with a ball of yarn. They were clawed, beater, bit and twisted beyond repair before dropped into the lava where their screams echoed through the cave, until they muffled away and died off as his wings flapped above when their body evaporated. He huffed completely satisfied and went off to join Blaire along with some brunch to know more about her, the guy she loved and past she had endured for so long.

"Is that the castle?" Danny asked as they all appeared scratched up and rather beaten from fighting something or someone, while Xander was the most unharmed compared to his companions.

"Yes, but the guards are strict on who they allow inside. So be glad the ghost inside is my father, not some angry god.. *whispers to self* even though he's kinda considered as one" Xander responded remaining ahead refusing to even look at them, as Dan kept silent glaring at the one who guides them, like there was some sort of beef happening between them or has already happened.

"How are you certain he wouldn't harm Blaire? He doesn't even know who she is, can he even be trusted?" Danny continued to throw questioned ignoring the fact that this guy was their pal's dad, and hearing this only agitated Xander even more of such disrespect. He stopped in his tracks and grabbed the boy by his collar, pulling him up face to face.

"My father is a very dangerous man, but he would never harm an innocent life even if you threatened him. Do you have anything else to get of your chest kid? Because I'm not in the mood for games" Xander seriously stated as Dan stepped forward and put a hand on the angry guy's chest, separating them without uttering a single word, but Dan's serious glare spoke a lot. Xander scoffed and turned away continuing on to guide them cannot wait to go back home.

"What was all that about?" Danny quietly complained walking close Dan's side for protection, taken back by Xander's sudden aggression over the littlest of things, but who wouldn't get mad if you mention anything about one's family?

"..." Dan remained silent refusing to utter a single word while Xander remained around to ear wig in their conversation. His silence was weird and very unlike him, Danny took it upon himself to at least get a grasp on what had really happened between the two.

"You're oddly quiet. What exactly did you guys talk about earlier?" Danny questioned trying to get some sort of information and grasp an understanding of the situation.

".. It's none of your business" Dan growled and sped up not wanting to talk about it or anything related to Xander. The two clearly hated each other's guts, but why is he so silent? What has been done?

"This isn't acceptable! Something must've happened while I was out, they better not have fought. Blaire isn't going to like this" Danny thought and hurried up after them not wanting to be left behind, within the dark scary lands filled with endless danger and death.

Eventually they finally reached the castle doors immediately when Xander was noticed the guards stood up straight. His serious expression only added on to the tension between them.

"These two idiots are with me, so buts or I'll have your guts" he growled as the doors opened allowing them inside, along with some odd looks from the guards at the new faces and small ghost boy. The place stood to its creepy standards just like Xander painted it out to be, Dan paid no attention walking along the corridors waiting to meet either Alaric or Blaire.

"Can we hurry up?" Dan said becoming increasingly frustrated glancing around wanting to leave, as Xander exhaled and guided the way endless corridors until coming into a huge dining room.

Alaric was seen sat down comfortably with a glass of red wine in hand, as he turned to see his son along with the two others who came long respectfully knowing the big one was Dan. He glanced his eyes to the other side of the dining table, revealing Blaire eating a huge pig leg like it was nothing.

"She was hungry, so I gifted the lady a nice fancy meal. Why don't you join us? I'd love to know more about the ones who took care of my daughter. It's the least I can do before you return back to the human realm" Alaric generously offered leaving Xander to walk over to his father, while both Danny and Dan went to see Blaire who appeared unharmed and in far better condition than any of them.

"How long was she here for?" Xander asked his father as they glanced over seeing her chatting with Danny and Dan who seemed relived she hasn't been hurt.

"A few days ever since those annoying hunters came by to give me a gift, but little did I know she was actually my daughter. Only my bloodline shares that kind of core energy, so of course I'm going take care of her. She's my only daughter" Alaric honestly replied while taking a sip from his glass of wine, glancing his eyes over at Dan who softened his gaze when looking only at Blaire, not exactly seeing why Xander didn't exactly approve of him, but only as long as she's happy he's happy.

"They-huh? What did you just say father? I am unsure if I've heard it correctly" Xander was stunned when acknowledging near the end of his sentence about Blaire actually being his full blood sister, but only he was confused.

"Blaire is your full blood sister, and that my son is something you should cherish dearly as I believe I won't be making you anymore anytime soon" he replied taking another sip of his wine until it was empty, carefully placing it back down on the table while Xander remained silently shocked. "Enough of that, but I do wish to know more about this counterpart of yours, starlight" Alaric stood up from his chair as it squeaked when pushed back causing the room to fall dead silent. All eyes were now on him.

"Hm? Do you need something father?" Blaire confusingly asked breaking the silence, as he walked around the table on Dan's side where he was standing calmly headed towards them. Xander just stood there and watched from afar as his father stopped before Dan looking him dead serious.

"I don't want any problems. I only want to be with your daughter and make her the happiest woman in any realm. Even if you don't approve I will always find ways to see and love her, even if it leads to my own demise" Dan seriously spoke speaking from his heart and what his true intentions are with Alaric's daughter. Alaric averted his eyes and looked at Blaire who remained sat down, glancing up at them concerned if a fight were to break out.

"Are you really happy with this man?" Alaric asked the big question taking Xander off guard as he slammed his hands against the table.

"I OBJECT?! Father you can't seriously be approving of this? He's a spitting image of Apollo and has an incredibly bad temper, he could hurt her!" Xander intervened showing his hatred for Dan as the table cracked under his angry clawed hands, that dug leaving claw marks. Blaire slowly stepped up from her seat when Dan extended his arm knowing exactly what she wanted to do, but stopped it.

"Don't. It isn't worth it" he said trying everything in his power to hold back, with his hands shaking wanting to just pounce and punch Xander in the face. Alaric walked around Dan and carefully sat her back down.

"He is right, you shouldn't be stressing out. Just sit back down and let daddy deal with him" Alaric agreed and suddenly proofed as he disappeared in fun air like he had never existed.

"Where did he go?" Danny was a little confused as no ghost energy or anything could be sensed around them, but Xander was glued in fear trembling right there and then like he knew something bad was going to happen.

"For a heads up, close your eyes and ears if you don't want to see what Xander fears the most out of everything in and out of this realm" Blaire explained warning them even if she herself refused to cover her eyes, but the others too didn't plan to miss out on such an event. More or a karma coming to get back at him for what has been happening recently.

"Nah, but thanks for the tip. We've been through too much to miss out on something like this" Dan kindly declined with arms crossed with a little smirk that snuck onto his face. Suddenly Alaric popped out of nowhere before his son wearing his family ancient battle armour, coloured in gold with dragon like patterns and scaled around the body filled with some sort of ancient magic.

"Xander, are you ready to fight against the one thing you fear most?" Alaric sternly asked causing Xander to stagger back wide eyed, and glanced over at Blaire for help, but instead she stared at him neutrally beside Dan and Danny, who appeared pleased on the karma that was soon to come in their favour. Alaric lifted and extended his right hand, as multiple mixes of blue magic flew around his palm summoning a sword similar to Excalibur, but bigger, red handle and instead of silver it was pitch black metal made from hardest unbreakable material to ever exist in this realm.

Xander quickly fazed through the floor just as Alaric dashed at him full force. And like that he was gone running away causing Alaric to vanish, before reappearing in his normal attire sorting out his collar.

"I was hoping he wouldn't run, but I guessed wrong" Alaric casually said walking towards the group as if what had happened didn't faze him. Blaire disappointedly exhaled grabbing a glass filled with cold water and took a relaxing sip, feeling Dan's hand gently touch her shoulder slowly stroking it.

"Can we head back home now? I really do not like it in this place and with what's been happening it's probably for the best" Dan said peering down at Blaire who touched his hand not exactly wanting to stay in this place any longer than they already have.

"Yeah. I'd love to hope back into my nice comfy bed again, my body's been killing me recently" Blaire agreed as she rubbed the back of her sore neck, moving it around trying to crack it, but nothing seemed to work.

"No worries, I can make you a portal back home. I'll just pay you quick visits from time to time whenever I'm free and see how you're doing" Alaric had no problems on letting them leave as he already knows how dangerous this realm can become, especially with the events that are soon to follow.

"So, we're all ready to go?" Danny asked glancing over at the two wanting to leave ASAP and finally end all this madness by leaving it behind where it should be. Once everything was done all three gathered near Alaric, as he extended his arms and created a portal. Blaire was gently nudged forward walking through without a second thought, followed by Danny who didn't look back, but just as Dan was about to go Alaric stopped him.

"Just promise me one thing. Please don't break her heart or hurt her, I'd hate to see my starlight cry. As I do not wish to wish to hurt you if it does come to that, as you seem like a pretty chill guy" Alaric said stepping a little close appearing serious when speaking to him like a father should over their own child. Dan closed his eyes and exhaled before glaring at him with a very dead serious stare, that even took Alaric by surprise.

"I'm saying this for the last time. I. Will. NOT. Hurt. BLAIRE! She's my lover and no one will ever change that, and if it isn't that obvious she doesn't fear me unlike most people in this place. So I will most definitely be keeping that promise, but don't expect me to hold back if any of you dare to lay a fucking finger on my girl. And I don't need permission either to propose either" Dan growled as he walked through the portal not wanting to hear anything else from him, leaving the guy speechless as the portal closed.

"Wow.. That is a first, but I'm not complaining either. I rather have a brave in-law than a cowardly one" Alaric said to himself as a smirk came across his face pleased to have a possible worthy addition to the family.

Back in the human realm 2 months have gone by and things have finally died down, Blaire and Dan finally have a place of their own to prepare for the arrival of their unborn baby, and are still unpacking. And being 5 months pregnant there are things she can do anymore without the need of Dan's assistance, as he never lets her lift anything or do things that would put pressure on her and the baby. The house was quite large having 10 rooms that could fit a rather large family living a little far from any noisy neighbours, it also looked rather posh for being sold at a lower price than expected. The exterior was white brick with a dark blue roofing, 2 light blue garage doors, dark blue front and back door with a large lawn and backyard for any future adjustments.

"This place is a quite big and amazing, but I am fully capable of carrying my own things" Blaire complained as Dan stopped with big boxes in his hands peering down at his baby mama.

"You're heavily pregnant, and I'm not risking you hurting yourself. So go and sit down, I'm fine doing the heavy lifting if you can't tell" Dan replied sounding very serious before flexing his big muscles by tensing them up, she crossed her arms not exactly happy on being lazy even if it's for the best. "Come on, love. You know it's dangerous to be doing anything involving anything heavy, it'll hurt you and the baby. So go sit down, please?" He gently begged softening his face and gaze, as she sighed unfolding her arms walking off into the kitchen, and sat on one of the stools in front of the counter watching Dan do all of their work.

"I should've taken advantage of this, but having him do everything for me isn't exactly fair. He deserves at least a treat for being so good, maybe I could him a real nice message?" Blaire thought staring directly at him as he continued to bring the last of their stuff and dropped their last box down nearby, his back was faced towards her as she continues to stare admire the build of his body seeing how desperate they're looking for a message.

"I can feel you staring at me~" Dan became flirty as he turned around to face her with a cheeky grin on his face, he had finally caught her in the act. A blush grew on Blaire's face as she quickly turned her head, Dan chuckled and walked over placing both of his hands on the side of the counter, she was trapped beneath him. "What were you thinking about?~" he continued to flirt with that cheeky smirk on his face hovering over her with his huge buff body.

"You" Blaire replied in a seductive tone with her left hand touch his chest as it slowly moved around his body. Dan's eyes steadily watched them travel around feeling every muscle and ab he had.

"Then let's do this!" He excitedly exclaimed picking Blaire up from underneath her ass and placed her on the edge of their kitchen counter, they both pulled in and began making out as she wrapped her arms around the back of his neck. Dan's hands went up underneath Blaire's shirt feeling it flinch from how come they were he pulled back an inch bringing in a little smirk, until she made a slick move, and grabbed the hair on the back of Dan's head pulling it down to his left and started to nibble and kiss his neck. He let out a gasp and a odd submissively quiet moan causing them to pause as Dan immediately pulled himself back.

"What the heck was that?" Blaire asked starting to chuckle making him go bright red around his face and ears.

"Stop laughing it isn't funny" he responded trying to sound serious, but it only made her laugh even more. He glanced down at his trousers noticing a huge bulge on how easily she had just turned him on. "This isn't fair! I'm supposed to be the one making you feel like that you cheeky bitch" Dan continued to argue on how the tables have turned, and was so distracted that he hadn't noticed a mysterious figure peaking through the kitchen blinds at them. As if observing them at a safe distance without being spotted, but why? And who sent them?
