Chapter 98
It took about two hours before Gilbert came with a bag filled with baby clothes and my clothes and brought us some food. Don't ask how Elsa reacted when she met the slant-eyed man. My son was so happy that other patients' families turned their heads. Elsa screamed loudly while saying words that only she could understand and maybe other babies could understand.
Then without warning he grabbed my hand who was preparing clothes for my son. He kissed my lips gently making the nerves in my body suddenly die. Her blue irises looked at me closely then she kissed my forehead affectionately.
"I'm sorry for what I did yesterday, Emilia," she whispered.
I looked down not daring to look at him. If this wasn't in the hospital of course I would have crushed his lips to calm the emotions between us. Unfortunately I'm not brave enough to do that in public. I can only nod. My brain still couldn't form a sentence after Gilbert's sudden kiss.
"Um?" he called.
