“I just can’t help but think that it should be me on the floor, you know, being all dramatic like that. In a way, I’m kind of jealous that he stole my thunder, my big emotional moment.”
From her face, I could tell Carmen was digesting what I had just said, then started her own giggle fit. “Oh, my goodness, what the heck am I going to do with two drama queens now?”
“I am not a drama queen,” the clone muttered. He was still dazed, but you could clearly hear what he was saying. He lifted his head up slowly, opened his eyes, then turned to me. “Damn, so it wasn’t a dream. You really are here.”
“Here, let’s get you over to Mike’s bed so you can rest,” Carmen said, motioning for me to help her gather him up. We both walked him over and gently placed him down.
“Don’t you mean my bed?” He asked, eyes now covered with his arm. Wow, I know I can get emotional, but it can’t possibly be like this.
