Escaping

While Sizuin and Reo were running out, they made small talks.

"By the way, who's the guy you're carrying?"

"oh him? I didn't know how i would explain how i was still alive so i decided to hide next to this guy with my body full of injuries. Atleast i could explain how i survived being slammed."

"ooh, you're quite smart."

"Well if you lived a few weeks being cursed, you will pick up things and learn how to decieve others"

"Must have been tough for you huh?"

"yeaahh..."

Sensing the depressing mood, Reo changed the topic

"What are we going to do now? My escape route can only take us to the edge of what my dungeon could reach."

"hmm... well first we should leave this empire and travel to a kingdom, preferably one closer to the demons, and change my appearance. Then we'll have to get stronger, i don't know how you do it but let's focus on escaping this Empire first."

"okay"

Sizuin and Reo continued to run for a few more minutes, they reach the end of the route and could see light from the hole. It was currently afternoon and they could see the Empire's city gate in the distance.

"We did it! hahahaha!"

"Not yet, quiet down for now."

Reo hushed while Sizuin put down Zeek's body, he wanted to kill him straight away but an earthquake made him lose balance. The escape route had collapse along with the rest of the Dungeon.

'As expected, let's go with plan B'

"Damn! we need to leave before the empire closes down the gates!"

"Quickly goo!!"

Reo encourages Sizuin to run faster before the gate closes down, being useless. Unknown to Reo however, a written paper was left in Zeek's pocket.

'He should wake up in a minute or two, he will notice it by 4 minutes. Enough time for me.'

The city gate was full of panicked merchants, animals, civilians and adventurous. The guards were trying to bring back order but it would take time, enough time for Sizuin to sneak pass.

Sizuin continued to travel inbetween the crowds so that he couldn't be distiguished since his hair was unique. Halfway through, he stole someone's cloak and wore it. As he was near one of the carts leaving the capital city, he hid inside it as he used the products to cover himself.

Reo whispered

"Damn, you're good"

"hehe, i used to parkour alot."

And so, Sizuin managed to escape the capital city. He is one step closer to making his own path and getting revenge on the goddess.

"W-what happened to the dungeon!"

The class, who were near the dungeon, felt the earthquake and everyone fell on their butts.

"Is the Minotaur breaking out?!?"

A student said, everyone began to panic as the idea dawned upon them.

"Everyone calm down!"

It was Haruto,

"I've read in the library that the Dungeon will collapse once the Dungeon Core is shattered! This means that the Minotaur will be crushed by the boulders if it's not killed already!"

Everyone believed him as he was known as one of the school's top students.

"Then does that means someone inside had killed the minotaur and destroyed the Dungeon Core? How is that possible?!"

A student asked what he tought about

"I do not know, It could be Arthur-kun and Zeek-kun but also another person!"

"Does that mean Sizuin-kun could be alive?!"

Airi asked, Haruto looked at her for awhile.

"I don't know Airi-san, but i doubt it. We all saw him being slammed when he threw Shizuku-san and Suzune-san"

Shizuku Aiko and Suzune Aiko are twins, they were the two [Great Magician] Sizuin had throwned to fake his death. They felt guilty that such an amazing person had saved them even though he knew little about them.

"Everyone let's back away for now! This area is too unstable, it might cause a pitfall to appear!"

It was Sora, he helped a few people run as everyone escaped as fast as they could from the collapsing dungeon. Kanako helped Airi run as her mind had broken due to the shocks happening. Riku followed Sora's lead and helped his classmates, the rest of the class helped each other as they were affected by Sora's and Riku's action.

Everyone ran towards the Royal Palace which was a few dozen minutes away. Soon, they saw 2 figures flying towards them on a floating platform.

"Everyone! Quickly get on!"

A female middle aged lady said, she has blonde hair and green eyes with a body that looked like a 25 year old.

"It's Anne-Sama!"

"She has come to rescue us!"

The class cheered as the floating platform flew closer.

"Hurry up you brats!"

A middle aged male said, he has blonde hair and blue eyes with his body being robust and muscular

"Charles-sama is also here!"

Everyone got on the platform and Anne quickly willed it to fly away, the class looked back and saw that the dungeon was slowly sinking and cracks began to appear everywhere within a 600 meter radius. The furthest crack had nearly reached the City Gate.

They were all shocked as they had seen what a collapsing dungeon could do. Anne and Charles calmly looked around and talked to each other,

"Theres only 29 chosen ones, one must have died."

"indeed, it's a shame that we lost one. thankfully the important ones are alive, the rest are meant to be cannon fodder anyways."

"But still, we need to increase our security. Something like this should never happen again. The perpetrator is most likely a B ranked [Assasin] since he could come in and out of the capital without alerting us, he had also known about our chosen ones and when they would be inside the dungeon. I'm leaving finding clues inside the ruined dungeon to you while i search inside the capital city okay charles?"

"Leaving all of the labour to me huh? okay. I will ask the chosen ones tomorrow. They need to rest for now."

The rest of the class somehow didn't hear them even when they were a few feet away.
