Ten years ago, a catastrophe struck. Dimensional Monsters appeared in the Dimensional crack, and beasts mutated, forcing humans to the brink of extinction. One man stood and brought humanity to the light. In the current year, if you aren't awakened, you are worthless, living a life to entertain them as much as you can. Draven doesn't want to let his future be shackled by the fault of being powerless to change his fate. He desires to stand high above and conjure supernatural powers like awakened would. One day he died... Redemption took place when the Path brought him to trial. He realized he had awakened an unwanted path, or so he thought. Just when he wanted to hide from human society, a Goddess saved him and blessed the flaws of the undead. What would happen if Draven, an undead, supposed to have many limitations and weaknesses, suddenly became invincible from a single word of the Goddess?

Receiving the blessings.

[Congratulations to the participant after completing the Special Trial! You may step out of the trial section at any given time!]

Draven's long scream finally halted as he felt his floating transparent soul break free from the long torment. Draven could not feel more ecstatic than this, as he immediately controlled his soul to get out of the damn blue flame.

It would not be surprising if he developed a Post-traumatic stress disorder after he woke up.

"I'm finally set free!"

He roared as it echoed to the silence, tranquil and eerie atmosphere. Draven was filled with mixed emotions as his arms raised to the sky.

"Now, Now. Where's the reward?"

[The Lord Ice Blue Flame has decided the reward. Please, the participant, stand by and wait to receive the blessings of the Special Trial.]

Draven waited in a modest manner while he tried to control the ecstatic face he was making. After all, the more the risk, the more the reward.

First-time awakeners who had awakened their Path and received their first blessings were granted the power to make heat from their palm. Only heat from their palm? It was laughable since people, by standard, would have thought if a Fire awakener could summon a fireball right away.

But, a Fire awakener could only generate heat on their palm? They would be practical for heating water for others to make coffee.

"Will I be blessed by some kind of power similar to the Ice Blue Flame? I hope it was not some kind of lame power that I will awaken!" Draven shook his head pessimistically.

"The Path had only introduced me to the power of the Ice Blue Flame. She did not specifically inform me that I would be granted a blessing of the power of the Ice Blue Flame. This is tough…" Draven pondered. "I hope the Ice Blue Flame is venerable enough for him to grant me a portion of his power."

He shamelessly increased his voice and hoped the Ice Blue Flame would hear his request. Furthermore, his was directed to where he had just experienced extreme torment, for he had an inkling that the spirit or the sentient of the Ice Blue Flame existed there.

Suddenly, a golden pillar of light descended precisely to Draven's soul. Draven moaned from the sudden surge of pleasure he experienced when the light hit him. Basking by the golden light, it was quite eye-catching from afar given the environment's eerie, dim atmosphere.

Draven opened his arms gladly, wanting more light to seep all over his body. Draven felt like fainting but did not hesitate to prevent it from happening. After all, how could he remain unconscious when this was the first time as a youth to feel exuberance? It was like a man who fell asleep while he was in the action scene of one of the greatest cinematic movies.

Hence, Draven fought hard not to faint, for he wanted to experience it to the fullest and print it deep inside his mind.

All of his life, he did nothing but continued to hard work and consistently push himself to the limits. He even only slept for five hours every day, for he thought sleeping was only a waste of time. If only others could know what he thinks, then he might have been beaten brutally, so he would fall asleep and taste the feeling of sleeping in relief.

"Oh~ this feeling. This might be surpassed the pleasure of having sex." Draven moaned and commented. "Ah~ I feel like I'm having an orgasm…"

Draven continued to moan before the pillar of light faded away and completely vanished after getting the last moan of Draven.

[Participants! Congratulations on receiving the seeds of the mighty Ice Blue Flame!]

Draven felt that the Path appeared to be more enthusiastic than him. Did she receive a blessing from the Ice Blue Flame? Draven thought suspiciously.

[For the participants to understand what is the seed. Given the participant's intelligence level, it is much better to explain it with a better analogy and prevent using words that did not exist in the participant's vocabulary.]

Draven was utterly flabbergasted. Did she just mock my intelligence, right? How dare she?! Draven complained in his thoughts but remained silent.

[A grown, fully ripped fruit had seed on the inside and outside. The seeds are akin to a baby in the womb of a pregnant woman.]

Draven's eyes widened. Of course, he knew what the Path meant about the seeds he received as a blessing. It was indeed the Ice Blue Flame, but rather his sons or daughters. Furthermore, if he grew the seeds filled with warmth and goodness, for sure they would grow much stronger than their father.

Although, Draven wanted to complain about the Path mocking his intelligence. He could not be bothered by it, as his thoughts were overshadowed by his emotions. He felt excitement and thrill and was looking forward to his future.

[The Participant had completed the trial. The Path decided to let the participant rest to face his first Undead Path trial.

Three days from now. Whether the participant is on the battlefield or in the motel. The Path will force the participant to take the participant's soul into the Path Trials, and the participant will then face their first trial.]

Draven etched inside his memory what the Path had announced unto him. He did not want his body laid soulless in an area where he did not feel safe. Hence, he had already speculated what he should do in the next three days before that date came.

Slowly, Draven's transparent soul faded away into nothingness. It might seem that he was erased from existence, but it was the way that the Path teleported the soul to their material world.

Furthermore, the Path is an existence that can surpass the law of life and death, since once the soul vanished, and was completely unbounded by his physical soul, they would be considered dead as their soul would then be welcomed by the spirit world.

However, the Path ignored these rules once they take the soul of their participants. The physical soul would remain on the participant's body, while the soul participated in the Path's trial. However, in Draven's case, he died naturally.

The Path could not prevent his physical soul from vanishing, as they could not care about it. The Path of the undead requirements to be accessible was for the participants to have their physical souls not exist.

Hence, the Path needed to have Draven die naturally before his soul was grabbed by the spirit world. The Path of the Undead had already chosen Draven, and thus the Path did not hesitate to erase Draven's good karma, which caused him to die a shameful death.
