Entrance Examination (8): Braxton's beast pet.

However, the students did not process what he said, for their attention was entirely grabbed by Braxton and his beast pet. Looking back now, the General almost failed to remember he had the same reaction when he saw Braxton's beast pet earlier.

After all, the beast pet Braxton was proud of, was clearly made the students feel weird and disgusted. As though hideous and grotesque were not enough to describe how ugly his beast pet was. Sure it had the outline of the butterfly wings surveying from afar, but looking up close. It would have been better to pluck out those wings as it only destroyed the image of the butterfly in their mind.

The butterfly wings were nonetheless elegant and beautiful with colorful luminous wings sprinkling every flapping it made. However, it had no butterfly body but a completely different type of beast. It was no insect, for its body alone could accommodate up to five people.

Its hideous, enormous head and body completely contradict how should the body of the butterfly wings. If their judgment wasn't wrong and based on their understanding of the beast, it should be a hippopotamus.

"Holy shit!" Kestrel burst into laughter. "That ugly-looking poop had the wings of the butterfly? Hey, all-brawn but no-brain idiot from the Franklin Family. Do you want us to degrade the beautiful image of the butterfly in our minds? You clearly caused a lot of students of PTSD against butterfly!"

Braxton fumed into anger reddening his head and was about to explode. Braxton pointed his finger at Kestrel and didn't know what to rebuke, for when he swept his eyes to the students realizing they were directing a disgusting face, and looked toward his beast pet. He could only pat his hand against the head of his beast pet, who was clearly disheartened and having a heartbreak sensing through their soul link.

"Shut up, Kestrel!" Braxton bellowed but still focused on consoling his beast pet. "You don't know what it means to be beautiful. He may not be the most attractive beast in the world, but she had the most beautiful heart that no beast could compare."

"Did you really think she could be the most attractive beast in the world? Bro?" Kestrel halted his speech for a moment as he couldn't control his laughter. "Do your sense of aesthetics still working or not?"

"Hump!" Braxton snorted. "What's the point of having a beautiful appearance when you are vile at heart? I always believe women are beautiful when they have the most gentle, brave, manly, and loving hearts!"

Kestrel once again laughed excessively upon hearing Braxton's response.

"It should be because you like women with sturdy bodies and well-built muscles!"

"Stop quarreling." Ai's barely audible voice echoed from a distance.

The two people subconsciously shut their mouths and were immediately well-behaved. They lowered their head, not daring to look at Ai, riding on her sword in the sky as though a professional surfer. Ivy welcomed Ai with a stiff smile as she tried so hard to act as gently and amiably as she could.

"Start now. I hate wasting time the most."

Ai, for some reason, was ordering the General with a behavior completely different from before. As though she wanted to find someone but was frustrated when she could not locate them.

"Yes, Madam." The General bowed respectfully like how a soldier would perform.

"Kids! Attention!" His loud booming voice immediately garnered the student's attention. "Stand straight!"

The students complied without hesitation. Their stern and serious faces, accompanied by their tense faces and the fast beat of their heart, were swept by the General's eyes.

"It seems all of you have found your group."

The General looked at his ring, which glowed a dim light. Those people who saw what he was doing had strange looks on their faces. While some, who looked attentively at the ring, could not hide the surprised look in their eyes.

Draven, Aiden, and Isabella were amongst those people who recognized what the rings were, including Jasper, Stella, and Braxton, who had an agape mouth. After all, how could they not recognize an item, which they deem a treasure? That, even if an awakener owned them, it would signify their ranks and status in the society?

"It seems some of you are aware of what this ring is," said the General before infusing his soul power into the ring.

A small object suddenly materialized and hovered for a moment before it was affected by the world's gravity and was grabbed by the General's hands. Students who were unaware earlier of what the ring was not gaped by astonishment both from realizing what the ring was and the magical things that happened.

"A storage ring!"

Among them exclaimed loudly, interrupting the others from their daze. They looked at the students, who were now embarrassed by what he did and wanted nothing but to dig a hole and hide.

"That's right! It's good that some of you know about this. After all, this storage ring…"

The General halted his speech, sensing killing intent far away from him. It was Ivy who knew that the General might not stop babbling again if no one stopped him. Therefore, the General could only pause his sentence before he continued.

"Anyway…" The General infused more soul energy on the storage ring, causing many cameras to spawn and land on the ground safely, under the eyes of the students with their mouths shut. "Take all your cameras and attached them to your forehead. At the center of your hair crown. Speed!"

The students sensed the urgency as they immediately asked their groupmates to take the camera together, causing the General to be drowned by kids. However, he was unperturbed to welcome the horde of students who was running at him, as though he knew they could not even budge him on his position.

As expected, the frontline halted their feet before grabbing a camera but was drowned altogether by the students behind them. A crowd rush happened, causing a lot of students to get injured and almost die from it.

"Tsk, what a bunch of idiots." Hugo scoffed before grabbing five of the camera without having problems and passing them to his fellow groupmates who waited for him.

Likewise, Aiden and Jasper grabbed five cameras before passing them to his group members. However, the girls, Stella, Isabella, and others, felt unsightly to join. Hence, only a few girls join the clashes.

Meanwhile, Draven, who grabbed hold of five cameras, threw each of them to his fellow member at the same time. His fellow member did not expect the lack of etiquette as they awkwardly tried to catch the camera, and thankfully, it did not damage from the impact. Draven could now control his strength which he practiced for two days or more.

"Do you think it is better to warn us beforehand?" A girl groupmates complained.

She had a hairpin neatly arranged her hair behind her earlobe as she carefully placed the camera atop her head.

"It would be better if he had not thrown it at us," said another girl groupmates. She had the same facial structure, similar face, similar hair color, and similar height to the girl who complained earlier. They were twins, and the distinguishable between them was the hairpin.

"Is he even a gentleman?"

"You're right lady," said a man groupmate while walking closer to the girl. "Let me place the camera atop your head. If you are not careful, it might become your distraction once inside the dungeon."

The girl stared at the man and realized he had an average appearance, but a tall height. However, she was not interested in him, even though she knew he acted as a gentleman would. She only commented and throw tantrum at Draven, for he wanted Draven to become a gentleman to complement his looks which, Draven, would then be considered a perfect man.
