Entrance Examination (6): The Travel.

"We don't have a choice. Otherwise, you don't mind waiting for the plane to arrive in the dungeon for half an hour?" Braxton retorted with a taunting smile.

"Grr…" Kestrel growl like a bird. "Then don't expect me that all of you will be included in the traveling." He sneered at them.

"I have my sword," said Ai with her eyes still fixed on her sword while her hands caressed it.

"I have my Bugatti." Ivy rolled her eyes as she replied with haughtiness.

"How can you make a car fly?!" Kestrel rolled his eyes and copied Ivy's haughtiness.

"Like, duh. Do you doubt my flames?" Ivy's eyes suddenly ignited with flames, and it was pure and real.

"Idiot." Braxton guffawed afterward. "Anyway, you don't have to worry about me. This is why I have a beast pet."

"A beast pet?!"

The students managed to overhear their conversation as they could not hold themselves back from clamoring. After all, a beast pet was a luxurious pet only owned by the awakeners who could tame them.

Although there was an awakener who awakened the Path of Taming, it was still better if they tamed the beast themselves.

According to history, one of the main reasons humanity became extinct was because of animals. They turned into a beast once they tasted the blood of the Dimensional Monsters. Therefore, when domestic pets suddenly evolved and became beasts, they attacked their owner without thinking, causing another slaughter aside from the Dimensional Monster.

In the end, they gain intelligence and even try to own the world but fail due to the conflict they have together with the Dimensional Monsters. Hence, another war was brought into the place together with the Beast and the Dimensional Monsters.

When both sides increased the intensity of their conflicts, which almost made them forget the existence of humanity.

The hero, who tried to take advantage of the battle, made his history by reclaiming the land owned by a human before and even managed to settle a single supercontinent before the other supercontinent was taken by the western people.

The Beasts stabilized their territory as they settle for the single continent, which still keep fighting for supremacy over the minor continents, some were owned by the Dimensional Monsters.

Dimensional Monsters who only owned some minor continents don't mean they were weak. However, it was because they were divided. It was only because they shared interests in conquering the world that they battled it with the Beasts, and later gave up. They have their own worlds for once the Dimensional Gate closed and disappeared which was later replaced by the Dimensional Portal turning black. It means the Dimensional Monsters have the freedom to roam the world, while the boss would naturally hide after it disappeared for years in their own world. The different portal leads to a Differents universe, which means not all Dimensional Monsters were the same.

Hence, despite having the power to defeat the Beasts without effort, unless they work together, they would fail for their different interests in their race personality, and behavior. In this world, the actual nemesis fighting for the ownership of the world was Beasts and Humans.

Therefore, when students heard Braxton had a beast pet, which should be normal, they could still not hold themselves back from yelping in surprise.

"You all don't have to embarrass me like that." Braxton scratches his reddened cheeks. "Oh! In case everyone probably misunderstood it. The beast I'm talking about is not the person with black wings right there. He is a human to begin with, not a beast."

"What did you say?" Kestrel flew into anger, for not only the forbidden words were uttered by Braxton. He even said it with a slap on his face as he directed those forbidden words at him. "Dare to say that again, you f*cking piece of shit!"

The feather attached to his pair of wings suddenly retracted without external cause, as though it had its own sentience as it moved on its own together with its fellow feathers. They moved and organized to a shape that Kestrel desired to form, while the previously soft feather, suddenly straightened and sharpened. It was flawless and beautiful, unlike the sharpened hand Jasper formed.

In addition, it was not a single one, for there were myriads of them floating in the sky as it almost cover the sunlight from invading their platform. Bear in mind that the platform was roofless, yet the people standing on it did not even break a sweat, unlike the students who were enduring the hot sunlight.

Braxton did not move or stand up from his seat, despite the disadvantaged position he had. He kept quiet and muted his mouth, but it was not because he was intimidated by Kestrel, who snapped at his provocation and made an aggressive move. However, it was because of the sudden release of a terrifying aura from the lady who was supposed not to exude it.

"Settle down both of you." Ai stopped caressing her sword. She continued without changing her expression. "Don't destroy the image of your respective Ancient Family which both of you represented. If that is how you act, it also shows how your Ancient Family acted."

The sword who would naturally complain, after sensing her master's distraction which should be only focused on her, did not hum in impatient or because of annoyance. It clearly sensed the master's displeasure which was not expressed through her poker face.

"Enough wasting my time."

Ai then ignored them and continue to caress her sword as if nothing happened. The student who saw everything only thought it was only an adult acting like they were, as though two boys acted like a child in front of the girl, while the latter would act like a mother, which completely normal scene that happened even in their homes. However, the three distinguished people were internally shocked.

After all, Ai suddenly demonstrated a Soul Power in which the Quality was higher and more intense than theirs, which means she was far stronger than them. They could not help but feel goosebumps when they realized who she was, as they even wondered earlier if she was only an elder of the Ancient Family clan like them.

'Why is she here?' Ivy, Kestrel, and Braxton thought at the same time.

The General despite wanting to make a comment on their funny scene did not speak, as he watched the Four distinguished people with a thought similar to the students below the platform. He looked at Kestrel who appeared to regain his clarity after Kestrel looked at the students.

Kestrel's feathers who were ready earlier to attack Braxton moved to the student's back after Kestrel's order. The feather moved to the student's neck before entering and halting at their back in the center of both shoulders. The students naturally flew into a panic as they even tried to grab the feather out of their bodies, as some even did not try to resist as they realized something.

Kestrel only sneered at their futile attempt on grabbing the feather attached to their back, which was clearly unreachable from the student's hands, unless someone grabbed it for them. Without waiting for some to realize the motive of the feather, Kestrel looked at the General.

"Okay, without further ado. Let's go to the dungeon!"

The General seemed to be the only enthusiastic person, as the students were nervous as they felt cold from the extreme emotions. Draven was also slightly tense as he was looking forward to entering the dungeon.

He suddenly feel his feet detaching themselves from the ground as he slowly levitated. He knew it should be because of the feather behind his back, as he looked at the Kestrel who was featherless.

However, to his surprise, Kestrel's bald wings suddenly covered with black feathers which appeared to grow from slow, indistinct black hair to black feathers. Draven marveled at the Creation before he realized he was now flying and moving in a specific direction together with other students.
