Aiden Decision (2)

"A-And that happened!"

The girl was trembling while she stuttered throughout the explanation. She could not be blamed though, since in front of him was publicly the school idol amongst the girls. Not only was she trembling in excitement and fear, but it was also likewise for the other girl who had a boyfriend.

However, she only admired Aiden nothing more, for the love she had for her boyfriend was deep as a bottomless well.

"That idiot! Is he aware of what he was trying to achieve? He is clearly digging his own grave!"

Aiden grumbled as both girls were too stunned to process what he murmured. Their eyes were glued to Aiden's face, while they were trying not to forget the memory of them having Aiden in front of them to the point they were even talking.

Imagine having their idol talk to them casually as though their standings never existed in the first place. One could only dream of having met their idol from afar much less talk to them without someone bothering them.

"Excuse me. I will take my leave."

Without waiting for their response, he turned their backs on them while leaving the infirmary after checking Elliot's stabilized condition. He might have suffered deep trauma, but Aiden could not be worried about it. He was furious thinking about Draven's performance.

He even heard Draven torture Isabella to the point she fainted from the torment, which made him infuriated as he thought about what Draven had done. The consequence was beyond for him to handle, as he thought his master might have gotten implicated once the news of Isabella's loss and complete one-sided defeat got broken out.

"No! I need to avenge Isabella! If I made a video with Draven getting beaten up! It should not let things get complicated! Who really knows the mysterious background of Isabella, my father was aware of the people behind her back. She was a family member of one of the ancient families! Not a family branch but from the main family!"

Aiden broke out with sweats thinking of one of the Four Ancient Families' retaliation regarding Isabella's injury. Who really knows what they would do in high school? He would not be surprised if they burn down the whole place, and he would do everything to prevent it from happening.

"Should I consult, Master then?" He then quickly shook his head, while continuing to walk in his decided direction. "I should not trouble him! I should take care of this matter before things will escalate!"

He walked in the hallway in a hurried manner, while he was lost in thoughts. People who saw him immediately made way for the king, as they were afraid to gain the attention of Aiden.

The boys stood in a position as though they were welcoming their boss, while the girls have their eyes glued to Aiden while silently admiring and gossiping to each other at the side of the hallway. They were even hoping Aiden would wink at them.

However, Aiden could not bother himself in enjoying the countless admiring gazes, for his mind revolved around Draven and Isabella's issues. It was not because he was worried about Isabella, but he was worried that his master might have confronted the Four Ancient Families. Therefore, he was thinking of a plan for how to prevent it from happening.

Before Aiden realized where he was, he was standing in front of his classroom. Due to always entering and exit of the front door, he grew familiar with it, which made him awakened from his daze. His working mind halted before he decided to confront Draven inside the classroom.

However, as he finished surveying the classroom, he was disappointed to find out that Draven was not present. He then recognized Joseph, Draven's seatmate, and a bulb appeared above his head.

He walked toward him, but he did not realize he had a grim expression on his face. It caused everyone who wanted to greet him to hesitate as they were afraid of Aiden's stern expression and intimidating aura.

Joseph already realized Aiden entered the classroom, as he remembered the Draven-Isabella rumor. He immediately turned his head and placed his attention on reading books, as he pretended he did not know Aiden.

He was aware of Aiden's desire to pursue Isabella as her woman, so he was afraid he might get beaten up by Aiden since Draven was not at the moment. However, fate seemed to be toying with him, as he could hear Aiden's footsteps nearer at each second. He was broken in a cold sweat, and his throat and tongue turned dry.

He was nervous and grew apprehensive while praying to each and every God that exist to save him from his life and death, but alas, he was ignored. Aiden stopped before him and heard his chilling tone calling his name.

"Hey! You are joseph, right? Where's Draven? Tell me where he is!"

Aiden's chilling tone sends Joseph a shiver running down his spine. He trembled slightly as he was startled by Aiden's cold voice. He felt he was in the hand of Aiden who would get crushed at any second once he was not entertained and deemed not worthy to stay at his hand.

"I-I don't know! He never came back after they promised a duel with Isabella. Did they finish already?! Was Draven still alive?"

He was concerned for Draven and for himself. He was confused why Aiden asked him something he should have known. 'Surely, with his reputation. Anyone should have answered his questions without wasting his time, right? Why would he have to bother himself by asking me?'

"Where did he live?"

Aiden did not answer his question and asked something different instead. Joseph's eyes widened as he stared at Aiden's chest. For some reason, he was afraid to meet his eyes. Hence, he could only avoid his eyes, while trying to think whether he should reveal Draven's current place or not. He nudged his round pair of eyeglasses, as he breathed out to calm his tense nerves and cold heart.

"Don't tell lies. I'm sure you will regret it."

Aiden added fuel to the fire, causing Joseph to almost pee on his chair. He did not hesitate to give in while apologizing to Draven with all his heart and prayed once again to each God that exists to bless and welcome Draven's soul to their kingdom.

"He lives in a slum! In a single run-down apartment, room 316. There was only a single condominium that was still habitable enough. I'm pretty sure Draven lived there, since he recently revealed to me what was the life of a slum, and-"

"Shut up! I only need to know where he lived. You don't need to explain to me, how ghastly the current slum was!"

Aiden was infuriated as he knew Joseph tried to take advantage since his father was the mayor of Dreka City. It was already a huge disgrace for his father to manage a city district where it was divided between rich and poor, the noble place and the poor place.

It was clear to him Joseph tried to convince him on improving the slum by explaining their current situation.

"I-I'm sorry!"

Joseph immediately bowed his head while trying his best to please Aiden's anger. Aiden immediately dismissed himself while continued pondered his next move.

'It's perfect Draven was already not at school. So I did not need to be considerate of not beating him in the school, which might get the attention of Master.'

However, before Aiden could enter the elevator. He heard a shout which awakened him from his daze.

"A Fire! A Fire broke out!"

In an area beside the pathway where the grass was abundant, some trees circled it. It was covered with blue fire, which made a billow of smoke that received the student's attention.

There, a single guard tried to appease the raging blue fire by using a fire extinguisher while Draven took advantage as he left the gate. Thankfully, the blue fire was taken down, leaving the guard to breathe an enormous sigh of relief as he sat on the ground panting with a tired face.
