Healing Nature

As soon as he got up from the ashes, dizziness assaulted him, he could barely stand, he used so much mana that he felt like his mind was burning and his body along with it.

Luckily it was only a feeling, he did not push past enough to make lasting damage, but he was indeed hurt and depleted...

Soon, he took something to drink out of Emmarel's bag and rested for a bit, the forest around them was still twisted, but its ferocity and unrelenting madness became milder, it was as if they were starting to hibernate for now, even if they still had rot, thorns and the dark energies inside them.

As we both took a breather, I took the heart of Gol Inath, it was something called Heartwood according to Emmarel, she was after a night elf and had lived many years with Ancients.

It was larger a than average Heartwood, it also looked healthy and fused with a golden green colour, likely due to the energies I released in my healing aura.

I became curious at its uses and asked Emmarel about it, she unfortunately couldn't answer me since she never saw for what druids used them.

I could feel a strong life force from it, so curious about it I decided to feel its Will.

It yearned for growth, to let its leaves absorb mana and clear ots surroundings, the energies inside it gave a feeling of purification and healing.

'This can grow if planted?!' My first thought was that it would be exactly what was needed to clean this environment of the infection of the Nightmare, It would take many druids and much time to cleanse the region, it might even expand the corruption or affect the druids in the region leading to worse effects.

Due to my promise to Athair I decided to plant in down and even if it didnt help, atleast it might be useful in the future, be it as a reagent or as ingredient for something.

Opening a hole large enough to put it half a meter under the earth, I threw it in and filled the hole.

Then using my Blessing of Nature and Power of Life I began to stimulate its growth, at some point I even added a bit of Light in just for good measure.

In some minutes a small bush grew, and kept growing under my power, until it became a small tree.

I had to rest at that point, the tree was really taking alot of effort to grow compared with the normal trees i had tested my powers on before.

After a bit of resting and powering the tree once again, it began to have a nice shade and luminescent fruits dangle from it, those fruits look like crystals and emanated light from inside.

A healthy green and red sprouting from the tree leaves showed it being healthy even in this tainted soil.

The grass around it began to gain life once again, and the tree seemed to affect the surroundings, if one looked close enough at the blades of grass he could see the blue gas that represented the dark energy being dissipated from it.

Making alot of turns on resting and growing the tree it soon reached around 7 meters, and seemed to have long roots that began to spread all over. An area of around 100 meters around had been cleaned, reaching some of the twisted trees outside the clearing, I could swear I heard the trees that were being purified sigh in relief and comfort.

Seeing that it may take too long to grow it ubtil it could reach the whole tainted area, I took one of its crystal red fruits, its faint light was an alluring sight worthy of paintings.

The fruits had seeds, that meant more trees could sprout with effort. Taking some fruits we began to plant them all over the forest.

Thankfully the Thornspeakers were already close by and were trying to clear the corruption, I just had to give them the seeds for them to help me spread and grow them.

The forest in a couple years would be known as the Crimson Crystal Forest due to these new trees, named Crystalhearts, that appeared out of no where, only the druids and some authorities who they informed were in the know behind the origin of such trees, and apparently the fruits had powerful healing properties, making them highly sought after.

------

Seeing no more taint or corruption in the forests of Drustvar nor the presence of cultists, something which the Thornspeakers helped me verify.

Me and Emmarel went north, to find Trag and Mona who were in custody of Brother Pyke for already close to a month... The patience of Tidesages was trully legendary.

I had heard their names in the towns and villages around, Trag had quite the bounty on his head and was named the Wandering Bullman due to him always being tracked due to his large size and distinct smell.

He would likely been captured already if not for the Highmountain's hunter training and Mona's abilities of finding animal's hiding places.

While Brother Pyke had just given up being freed after a while, his captors were not hostile and were respectful to him, atleast when they were not dragging him along when they were avoiding patrols and search parties.

Adventurers were quite excited in having the chance to fight against a big and exotic monster, if they defeated it they would surely make a name for themselves!
