Unbreakable love: Only one I love

Alex had one goal in life to make enough money so she could give her mother a comfortable life. But her efforts always seemed less fruitful even with her adoptive father and step-sister by her side. "Am not crying, just got something in my eye " Alex sniffed. "Am sorry, here is something that might help" the stranger said passing his handkerchief. "Thank you," she said taking it. After wiping the falling tears she turned to look at the stranger. His long brown hair was moving with the breeze around him as his dark orbs stared down at her. He bent down took his hankie and gently wiped the still falling tears from her eyes, "you missed a spot" he smiled. She smiled remembering that night, it was the day she had met him. Nathan Livingston. The man who claimed to only have eyes for her and soon had proved it.

Help at Work

Nathan smiled put his phone away and walked inside the house, his father was still in the study working.

"Hi, Dad," he said walking in.

"Hi son, Becca told me you went on a date, how did it go," he said.

Nathan smiled, "I have no words to describe it"

His father looked up with a chuckle, "That's good!?... am starting to want to meet this woman driving you crazy"

"I took her to Ruth's favourite place and she loved it," he said.

His father raised an eyebrow, "I thought you hated that place" he said.

"I don't, just was never strong enough to go back there," said Nathan.

"So how didn't feel going back there?" he asked.

"After seeing Alex smile upon the sight of fire files something disappeared inside of me," he said.

"She made you finally move on from that pain, she is a special woman" his father smiled.

"She is, and when I kissed her I knew how much I like her" he let out.

His father leaned back, "You kissed her?"

Nathan nodded.

He laughed, "Treat her good son until I meet her"

"You know I don't have any plans of letting her go," he said.

...

Alex walked out of her office, she had missed lunch since she was busy with a deadline project.

She sighed seeing the office almost empty they had all left for lunch. She walked to the coffee room and made herself some.

As she waited her phone vibrated, it was a text from Nathan.

A few days had passed since their dinner, "Your out for lunch?"

"No, still in the office have some work to do" she replied.

"Where your office is empty" he texted.

She frowned and moved to the door peeking out, she flinched seeing him standing in front of her office, bumping her chin on the door.

"Ouch..." she cried in pain.

Nathan turned to look at her way, the moment he saw her face he rushed to her side.

"Are you okay" he held her. She looked up to him with tears in her eyed but a smile on her face, "Am fine, was just surprised to see you"

He smiled, "I missed you too" she heard him say as his hand gently rubbed her chin.

She pulled back, "What are you doing here?"

"Came to see your father but it was just an excuse so I could see you," he said.

Her smile widened as she walked back to the room, her coffee was ready.

"Coffee?" she asked. He nodded walking to where she was.

He watched her make the coffee, "I want him to get me an office here".

She passed him his coffee, "But you don't work from here" she lead them back to her office.

He sat down with a smile, "Yes but I want to be close to you and be able to see you every day when I come to work"

Alex giggled, "I don't think that's a valid reason to ask for an office here"

"You don't want to see me here?" he asked.

"I didn't say that"

Nathan smiled, "Then it's okay if I do"

She nodded sipping her coffee.

He leaned forward closer to her, "So can't you leave work and join me for lunch?" he asked.

She looked around her desk and frowned, "Am sorry maybe next time but I can't leave now or I won't be able to finish this on time"

His eyes gazed at her desk and sighed.

"It's okay you can go ahead, am okay with just coffee," she said.

Nathan got up pulled off his coat placed it on the seat then walked to her side.

"If you don't mind, let me help you," he said getting behind her seat.

Alex looked up at him, "Don't you have your own work, I might delay you"

He smiled, "Becca can take care of it so let me help you with yours".

He bent down to her shoulders, "Let me help, please" his head turned to face her. He was so close she could feel his breath next to her face.

"Okay," she found herself saying.

His black eyes stared into hers and his hand slid to her neck.

"Do you remember what I said about your hair" she felt his fingers in her tied hair.

"I do" she answered.

Gently he pulled away her hair band and her heavy long golden hair fell back. He moved back a little and gazed at her face with a satisfied look and the few in her face his hand pushed it behind her ear.

"So let's get to work," he said.

She gulped nodding.
