Cynthia felt the tears sting in her eyes as she looked up at her mother.

She ran blindly through the company hallway bumping into someone.

"Cynthia what's wrong? "a hand held her arm. She looked up to see Roy.

"Roy "she called through her tears.

His ever-cold eyes turned soft the moment their eyes met, noticing the red spot on her face he sighed.

She gazed at him as he wiped her tears," Let's go "she heard him say as he led them away. She didn't protest and let him take her away.

Roy stopped the car and turned to the quiet Cynthia.

"Stay in the car, "he said getting out. She nodded and watched him go.

Cynthia closed her eyes trying to stop thinking about the hurtful things her mother had been doing to her or the sting of the slap on her face right now.

Roy returned.

"Cynthia "he called her. She turned to him. He gently brushed his fingers on the red spot on her face.

"Does it hurt much? "he asked, she flinched back in pain answering his question. He moved back grabbing something wrapped in a towel and placing it over it.

She glanced at him feeling the coldness from it cool down the sting of pain on her face.

"How about now? "he asked.

"Not anymore," she said.

He sighed," Are you hurt anywhere else "

"No, "she said staring back at him.

"Okay "he continued rubbing the ice over her red cheek.

"Roy, "she said.

"Mmm," he blinked.

"Can I cry now? "she asked almost on the verge of tears.

"But you said it doesn't hurt anymore, "he said.

Cynthia chuckled as the tears fell from her eyes." It doesn't but I still want to cry... "she cried," I feel something lunge in my throat suffocating me "

He placed aside the cloth on her face and got closer.

"It's okay you can cry I won't stop you, "he said.

Cynthia burst into waves of tears," Thank you "she cried.

She nodded pulling him closer, Roy placed his arms around her and let her cry.

Nathan had been business with work to notice. And Alex had finally got a new job after rejecting to work with him, which made it hard for him to see her. Now he was leaving for a business trip and had returned for his clothes when he bumped into Rosa.
