TYRANT BILLIONAIRE'S SECRETARY

I, Eli Marks, was the illegitimate son of Gregory Marks the President of the Marks & Wills Foundation in Utah. Two years ago, I was saved by Utah Billionaire and Chairman Armand James of Armand Inc., as my father Gregory Marks whipped me for being disobedient at a VIP lounge in Salt Lake City: Hampton Inn. The two were born nemesis and never saw eye to eye as the two companies had competed for a decade. Two years later, Pa sent my profile to Chairman Armand's office after they advertised for an open position of a secretary for the Chairman without my knowledge. Pa insisted that I had to ensure that I was hired or else he would continue to brutally abuse me and make my mother suffer. If I were hired, I would become a spy for Pa, giving him all the trade secrets and dirt for Armand Inc. At the end of the interview, Chairman Armand announced that I had been hired. Hired by a Tyrant boss who controlled everything around him from his company to his family had even set rules around him making him the most feared and ruthless person in Utah. Armad had risen from the gutter and made my name for myself by leading the largest company in Utah and becoming the first bachelor billionaire to ever exist. The chemistry between us grew and our relationship developed so fast. But we both carried the burden from our past as the demons kept haunting us and pulling us apart. Will Armand ever forgive me when he finds out that I am a spy sent by Pa, to Infiltrate and get the dirt on Armand Inc.? Will the feelings we have for each other survive all the treachery of the corporate world? _______________________________________________________________________________________________ EXCERPT “Stop” I raised my hands in defense to keep the distance between Chairman Armand and me. “That my dear Eli Marks, is a vocabulary that does not exist in my life “He smirked down at me as he moved closer and pressed his body to mine. My hands ended up pressed on his chest as my eyes flashed in anger. I swallowed hard as I felt the sizzling chemistry that brewed between us rise and my bottom lip trembled as a result. “You are just proving to me what everyone in Utah says about you “I muttered through gritted teeth hoping my crude words would push him away and make him stop advancements. “Pray tell, what do they say about me, sweet Eli?” He drawled as his head lowered further and his lips were only inches away as our breaths tangled with each other and the scent of wine mingled between us. “That you, Armand James, are a Tyrant. “I blurted out. “Thank you for the compliment, Eli Marks “He smirked at me and my eyes widened at the realization that he was unfazed by my words, and in the next instant his lips brushed with mine and that is how we sealed our fate.

MOVE OUT, AWAY FROM THE MANSION

After the board meeting wrapped up, I headed to my office, the clatter of chairs and the murmur of departing executives slowly fading behind me. I step in, I welcome the quiet, a stark contrast to the intensity of the discussion we just had. I settle into my chair behind the mahogany desk, and I can already sense the weight of the next conversation looming.

There was a knock on my door, and I expected Max or Aunty Payne to walk in, but it was Kaveesha, our CFO, who walked in as she carried an air of calm professionalism that was always reassuring. She took a seat across from me, her demeanor composed but with an undercurrent of seriousness that matched the gravity of our discussion.

"Are you here about the purchase of the apartments?" I asked.

"Yes. In addition, I want to discuss the proposal that was done by Jessel Ting "She responded. Kaveesha has been with me since I started Armand Inc. and was the one who helped me adopt Jessel Ting after Armand Inc. got its first client ten years ago.

"Let's dive into it," I say, gesturing for him to begin and she explained to me how much money we would be spending for the apartment and then went on to discuss the budget that was needed for the Automobile AI Algorithm plan. She went on to open her laptop and pulled her the latest financial reports "Here are the figures we discussed. I've broken them down into key segments so we can better follow-up up on everything." She tapped a few keys, and the data appeared on the large screen by the cabinet.

I lean forward, my fingers steepled as I review the information. I focus on the numbers, but I'm also keenly aware of Kaveesha's insights. Her ability to translate raw data into actionable intelligence is crucial here.

"Give me your take on the plan that Jessel Ting did. What's your assessment? Should we invest in a team to work on it or let Sean Edin's advise" I ask, my tone steady but probing.

Kaveesha did not hesitate as she responded. "Armand Inc. must own the AI Algorithm, and I suggest we hire our team. I've adjusted our forecasts accordingly and outlined a revised strategy to mitigate these risks."

I nod, processing the information. "What are the most critical areas we need to address to reassure the board that Jessel's plan will work?

She taps the screen, highlighting a few critical points. "We need to focus on securing the contract from Sean Edins and all the automobile companies in Utah."

I lean back, contemplating her recommendations. "What's your level of confidence in these measures? Can we realistically implement them within the next year?"

Kaveesha met my gaze with a determined look. "Yes, with the right execution, we can. I've already initiated discussions with key stakeholders to streamline the process. However, it will require close monitoring and perhaps some adjustments along the way as the development team works hand in hand with the Automobile industry. This will be a major milestone for Armand Inc., and no one will be able to match the kind of investment or deliverable. We have the money and the muscles. We just need to do it right."

I appreciate her forthrightness and clarity. "Excellent. Let's prepare a detailed plan and present it to Sean Edin next week. I know he had a proposal but it's better to present ours and have the upper hand and show them that we have a proactive strategy in place."

Kaveesha nodded and closed her laptop. "I'll get started on that right of way. I'll also coordinate with the relevant departments, and work with Jessel and Max to ensure everything is aligned."

As she stands to leave, I offer a nod of approval. "Thanks, Kaveesha. Your insights are invaluable. We'll need to stay ahead of this to maintain our momentum."

She offered a confident smile and asked, "Do we proceed with the purchase of the apartments or the building itself?"

"I would like to use my money for the purchase of the building. Make the highest offer and prepare all the documentation and then we can work on the transactions "" I nodded, and she exited my office thereafter. I dropped an email to Eli asking him to pass by the office after work and dove in to respond to the emails that had been popping up in the inbox since morning.

It was hours later as I sat at my desk, scanning the latest reports, that there was a polite knock on the door. I looked up to see Eli standing in the doorway with a mix of curiosity and professionalism in his eyes and I motioned for him to come in, and he took a seat across from me, his posture poised and attentive.

"Eli, I wanted to discuss something with you," I began, my tone casual but carrying an underlying seriousness. "I've been reviewing the arrangements for our team, and I noticed you've been commuting quite a distance. I thought I'd offer a solution that might make things a bit easier for you."

Eli stared at me with piqued interest, "What do you have in mind?"

I leaned back on the chair and stated. "We have condos, and executive apartments available in one of our properties, right in the heart of the city and a few minutes walk from the office. It's a beautiful place and has been vacant and we are offering it to the secretaries, the security team, and the developers."

His eyes widened in surprise, and I saw how hope was laced in his eyes. "Vacant?

"Yes," I confirm with a nod. "It's fully furnished and located in a prime area, so you'd be closer to the office. It's a small gesture to make your transition here more comfortable and to help you settle in."

Eli's face flushes with a mix of astonishment and gratitude. "Are you sure?"

"Absolutely," I say, my tone warm but firm. "I appreciate the hard work and dedication you've already shown. And this is a step towards your independence."

Eli bit back a sob and looked away as he tried to compose himself. I waited patiently and gave him time to respond to me. ". This would make an enormous difference, especially with my current commute."

"I'm glad to hear that," I reply, offering a reassuring smile. "The apartment will be ready in one week for you to move in whenever you're ready. We'll make sure the coordination is handled smoothly, and if you need any help with the transition, just let Max know and he will be there at your disposal."

Eli stood up and said, "Chairman Armand, was this the reason why my uncle was here the other day?'

"No. He came to discuss the project that Jessel Ting had done during the board meeting. I am interested in creating AI algorithms for the Automobile industry and your uncle is a genius whom I value and want to work with. " I explained hoping to clear the doubts that laced his face.

I watched as every word sunk in and then regret filled his face as he responded "Forgive me, Chairman Armand, I was just rambling and did not mean to offend you. "

"Take the offer as it is extended to all the secretaries, receptionists, and developers. This way you all can work late or come early without sitting in traffic or taking too long to commute "I pointed out.

"Thank you, Chairman Armand," Eli smiled as left my office and I grinned like a fool with the fact that I had succeeded with my plan. Now what was left was to ensure that Eli moved out.
