Chapter 75: See You Again

Five years later...

Queen Adunni welcomes her little merman, she cried in joy on seeing her baby

"He is beautiful, just like his father King Luca" Amanda said in happiness

"He is so little" Queen Adunni said touching his tiny hands

"I am sure King Luca has received the message, he will be here soon" Amanda told her.

"How happy he would be to see his tiny self" Queen Adunni said

"Should i inform your mother too?" Amanda asked her

Queen Adunni paused for a while as her smile fades "No, maybe later" she said.

"You think she is still angry at you for what you did years ago?" Amanda asked

"She doesn't want anyone to see her in her weak state; she will come around when she is ready" Princess Adunni said.

She quickly flashes back to the year she took Erica's deal and got crowned as the Queen of Riveria.

Back to Five years ago after thirty days of the queen been held as an hostage...

"Due to the queen's sudden sickness, she will have to go to rest; i will continue her reign as your new Queen who will be better than my mother" She addresses the Riverian's and the royalties who had come to witness her crowned as the new great queen of the sea. She was crowned by King George who was still alive that year

"Now, i present to you the great queen of the sea; Queen Adunni!!" King George shouted 

"Long live the great queen of the sea!!!" Prince Luca shouted

"Long live the great queen of the sea!!" the sirens shouted in unison hailing the new great queen of the sea.

Tears filled Amanda's eye when she had seen the young princess she had knew from a very young age grow into the great queen of the sea. 

King Obi smiled at Queen Adunni when they had made eye contact; Queen Adunni glanced at Erica who was in between the crowds of Sirens hailing the queen.

"As your new great queen, i want to honor a great warrior who has been there for the sirens even though she had been wronged by some of her own, she is the daughter of Vashi who every siren knew as a traitor to the sea" Queen Adunni said as every siren looks surprised to hear that Vashi had a daughter.

"Vashi did not kill the king, she was driven by the hate of my mother taking her daughter away from her; we all has wronged Vashi because all she wanted was her daughter and i am going to apologie to her spirit on behalf of every siren wherever she is" Queen Adunni said bowing her head, the Sirens joined the queen in remorse.

"I thereby grant Erica her freedom to choose whatever she wants that is best for her" Queen Adunni said

"Long live the queen!!" the sirens shouted in respect for the great queen.

Erica signed in relief when she had received her freedom; she departed from the crowd of Sirens.

"Now that you are queen, you can't let your mother cause more trouble in the sea" King Obi told her 

"I need to see her" Queen Adunni said to him.

They left alone at night when the queen had dismissed the gatherings of sirens, when Queen Adunni saw her mother; she was locked up at the dark dungeon alone.

"I thought you have forgotten your own mother" Queen Ola said to her smiling 

"I was crowned the queen of the sea today" Queen Adunni said shedding tears of joy

Queen Ola's smile faded the moment she had said that.

"You are not yet strong to rule the sea Adunni, you still have the heart of your father" Queen Ola told her

"Is that all you have to say to me mother?!" her daughter asked out loud

"Take me out of here, you are now the queen; there is nothing more you want from me" Queen Ola told her looking away

"I am going to rule the sea better than you did, in love and harmony" her daughter angrily said to her

"You need me to rule the sea, you are nothing without me; i am your mother; until i say you are good enough to rule the sea, you are nothing but my daughter!" The queen shouted at her

"Stop it!!!!" her daughter shouted in great anger throwing the trident on her hand away carelessly. When she looked up, she saw that her mother was unconscious with her head bleeding heavily from the trident that had pierced her head.

"Mother!" she shouted rushing to her, King Obi quickly swims in to help her.

That was how her mother's frontal lobe brain damaged causing her dumb and unable to keep her whole memories intact.

King Luca quickly hugged her queen bringing her back to reality.

"You are here" Queen Adunni said in happiness

"I am here to see my baby even though he will move with me when he grows up" King Luca said

"I am so thrilled that you could make it" she happily said looking at her husband.

Inside the dark chamber Queen Ola was, she had heard the continuous songs of the sirens, she would recognize that sound anywhere; it was the same joyful song they sang the very day little Adunni arrived into the world of the sirens, she silently smiled as she bent her head to continue sleeping.

"When is Lava arriving here for the meeting?" Mr. Hansel asked Idris

"Soon" Idris responded "and also, Mr. Charles won't be joining again; he was taken to an asylum last night" he added

"Did he hurt somebody again?" Mr. Hansel asked

"Yes, he keep on saying some witch was after him and keeps thinking everyone around him was the witch; the police sent him to asylum for treatment" Idris told him

"That's sad, he couldn't be here to see how successful my son has being; it would be a slap on his face; i will push him to become a mayor too" Mr. Hansel said laughing

"That would never happen" Lava interrupted coming inside to join for the meeting.

Every member of the table greeted him, he had had came followed by a familiar face

"Is she the new Intern doing our research?" Mr. Hansel asked looking at Oma

"Good afternoon Mr. Hansel" Oma greeted

"Yes, she is; she works for me" Lava said placing his hand on his pocket

"I have no issue with that, whoever you choose is capable" Mr. Hansel said with a smile

"I am glad you can finally see that" Lava said sitting down as Oma joined him.

The meeting lasted for over two hours with Lava throwing in new ideas to them and his discoveries on the sea creatures lifestyles with the help of her Intern Oma who just graduated from the university. After that, they Shakes hands and ended the meeting

"See you later father" Lava said when they had gotten to the garage

"See you later" his father responded as Idris opened the car's back seat for him to enter,

Oma and Lava saw a glimpse of a very familiar face sitting at the backseat before Mr. Hansel gets inside and closed the door

"Why does she look so much like Erica?" Oma quickly asked when Idris had driven the car away

"It can't be her, maybe it's because we have missed her so much" Lava said

"I wish to see her again, alot of things has happened" Oma said frowning her face

"Me too, but it's for the best; we gat to let her go now she has joined her own world" Lava said hugging her slightly.

"Let's go, we have much to do" Oma said leaving quickly to enter the car, Lava joined her laughing hard.

Erica turned back to Mr. Hansel with a smile on her face

"Now you have seen them as i promised" Mr. Hansel said to her

"Thank you for letting me see them before traveling abroad, it's all I need" Erica thanked him

"No, thank you for coming to me" Mr. Hansel said back to her.

Erica had approached Mr. Hansel four years ago and made a deal with him that she will give her fluids and cells to him to make medicine for the sick if he would let her stay under his protection and watch Oma and Lava from afar without contacting them. Mr. Hansel agreed with her deal since they could benefit from each other.

Erica smiled again resting her head on the chair "This is where I belong" she said to herself in joy.
