Chapter 27: Chaos
Oma observed Imelda who was seated on the chair looking around the house, she had been like that ever since she let her into the house
"You sure you don't want anything?" Oma asked her
"No, I don't want to waste any time here" Imelda responded
"How about Erica? how do you know her? is she okay?" Oma curiously asked wanting to know everything.
"You might hate me for this, you might not even believe me but Erica needs help right now" Imelda said
"I know that Erica is a mermaid, do I sound crazy too?" Oma asked her
"You knew? oh goodness; this is much easier now" Imelda exhaled
"Where is she? is she okay?" she asked her with so much concern
"She is not because she is been used as an experiment at the laboratory" Imelda said
"Experiment? how did you know that?" Oma asked in curiosity
"Be...because I am one of the scientists" she responded as she saw Oma's face go dark "Don't get mad at me, I just did what I was asked to do" Imelda said to her
"Why would Erica trust who hurt her?" Oma asked seeking for an answer
"It doesn't matter, my life is at stake too; I just want to do something for her to make up for what I did, I never knew the mayor could go such extreme" she told her
"I am trusting you for the sake of Erica, if this ever turns out to be one of your plans; I might go extreme to hurt you" Oma told her looking pissed
"Okay" Imelda answered swallowing her own saliva
"I will inform my friend about it, he would be of great help" Oma

Mr. Hansel angrily turned off his tv after watching the news about the murder that happened at one of his shipyards, his phone was already ringing nonstop from it. He adjusted his suit tie as if they were a nuisance to him.
"Mr. Hansel, I think you should come down and see this" Idris said to Mr. Hansel when he had come inside.
Mr. Hansel got up from his seat to join him, he had been at the laboratory since last night to make sure everything was going fine.
Mr. Hansel come down with Idris to take a look at Erica just like everyone else. Erica has been writing on the transparent fish tank wish was a surprise to them, they never expected it from a creature as they would call her.
"Sir, if she could write; that means she understands the humans more than we thought and can be classified as a danger if she gets out of this place" Idris told Mr. Hansel
"She wants us to fear her, it's one of her tricks" Mr. Hansel told him as Idris nodded his head.
"What about the tests? is there anything new I should know of?" Mr. Hansel asked the chief scientist
"We are almost at the final stage of reproducing her cell into the liquid state" the Chief Scientist responded.
"Good, we should be fast before things get out of hand, we need to find something to distract everyone from the news" he told Idris
"We have another problem too, the survivor of the attack last night kept on ranting about seeing a monster; people might start suspecting that there is an actual monster" Idris told him
"He said that?" Mr. Hansel asked him
"Yes, he couldn't take a break from it; I am beginning to suspect that he did saw a monster" Idris responded
"Handle him, make sure he keeps quite about it" Mr. Hansel ordered him.

(Riveria)
"What are we going to do about the dead bodies, your majesty?" one of the Mer-guards asked
"We keep it a secret until we find out what actually is going on" the queen responded
"Do you think the humans are behind this? maybe they found out about Erica and are trying to get us out of the sea" another guard said
"She is right mother; do you think it is so? the humans might have suspected something" Princess Adunni asked
"I need some privacy to talk to the princess" The queen said to the Mer-guards
The Mer-guards bowed to her in respect before swimming out from the queen's royal chamber.
"You know they are right mother" the princess said to her
"You know I have been wanting to tell you this Adunni, the Piranhas came from the Oceania sides ; I hope you understand what I have been trying to hide now?" the queen asked her
"What are you trying to say mother? get to the point" the Princess said to her
"What are you scheming with your so-called husband? Sirens might even think Prince Luca is trying to merge the two kingdoms in his own favor without losing you, that's understandable right?" the queen asked her
"Do you really think I would hurt my own people? you know Prince Luca can't even do that; you are trying to blame Oceania and wipe them off for good" the princess said to her
"You should know that one could go extreme to prove something even if it is hurting the one they love" the queen told her
"Is that so mother? just like you did to father, to Vashi and also to Erica?" she asked her mother
"I will get to the bottom of this myself and if you lay a finger on my husband; I will end you" the princess icily said before she swims out of her mother's presence.
"That's it, be wild just like me" the queen said with a smile.
(Lava, Oma and Imelda at a restaurant)
"Are you being serious right now?" Lava asked Imelda
"Yes, she is being serious" Oma responded
"No matter how I think of this... I just think it is impossible to get into my father's lab; this is not a Tv show" Lava told them
"That's what I thought too but we got to do something right?" Oma asked
"You are the mayor's son, I think you can do something at least" Imelda said
"The fact that the love of my life is a mermaid is already a mystery to me, experiments...sneaking into a gigantic underground laboratory is something I had never ever thought nor dreamt about" Lava said
"Are you saying we give up? I can't give up on Erica" Oma quickly said
"I am not giving up on Erica too for goodness's sake, all I am saying is that we need an Adult who is a professional on this to help us out; whatever it is that is going on here is bigger than us" Lava told them
"I can be your Adult" Olga said from behind startling them.
