*THE TASTE OF HER BLOOD*

"And what exactly are we doing Lisa?" He questioned her, his deep husky voice taking control of all her senses.

She bit her tongue and flinched, feeling his fingers slowly move against her skin. He felt his gums itch and almost immediately Lucas pulled back and gave her a skeptical look.

'What was he doing?.'

Lisa opened her mouth to speak but in a blink of an eye they were no more in the piano room but now in her room.

Lucas ran his hand through his hair and sighed angrily.

He had lost control again.

He wasn't the type to do this, but each time he was with her he just..he wanted to touch her, to see that blush taint her pale cheeks and that always ended up in him wanting to bite her.

He was not going to do that.

Ever.

"Are you alright?" He turned to her who was probably startled at his sudden change in attitude.

Lisa nodded, staring at him in concern." I'm meant to ask you that question." She said meekly.

A corner of Lucas's lips lifted and he patted her head" I'm definitely alright" He said playfully and Lisa smiled.

"But I'll have to teach you a lesson later for doing something naughty." He told her and she blinked at him.

'What did she do?.'

"Seems like I'll have to jog that memory of yours little deer."A mischievous grin appeared on his face." That meat that you had eaten without my knowledge was not meant for you, and I was planning on eating it later." He faked a sad face and every blood drained from Lisa's face.

'How did he know!.'

"Don't look so shocked" He smiled at her and she took a step backwards. That smile could kill a child!.

"Thank God you are not a child!" She heard him say and once again she was speechless. This were times where she doubted if he could actually read her mind. He turned around to leave but she stopped him by pulling his arm.

"My brother c-can I see him?" She asked expectantly.

"I'll send Theodore over to take you to the dungeon where I will be waiting for you." Saying that, he patted her head once again and left the room.

'Who in the hell is Theodore?.' She wondered in her mind.

As Lucas stepped out, the smile on his face slowly fell, indicating the facade he had showed in the presence of Lisa. He decided against teleporting and leisurely walked down the usually quiet hallway. It was only a matter of time before Lisa started suspecting the real reason she was brought here. Before his thirst was bearable but now it was maddening.

Every demon had an inner demon that lurked inside them. These inner demons are what make demons what they are.

Before, His inner demon only came out when he had someone's blood on his hands but now it came out for a different reason.

For her..

Whenever he saw her, he could practically see the pure energy radiating around her. How could she be what he thought she was?.

He had been having a doubt that she wasn't just an ordinary human but something else.

She was something different.

Those reddish-brown curls, heart shaped face that became easily flustered, perfect nose, plump pink lips with an attractive figure and not to forget her big brown eyes. He knew not to be smitten by her because only pain awaited that path.

Finally he reached the place where he will have a little snack. His drinking room. He looked at the room that stood beside his drinking room and for a brief moment his eyes flashed with grief which he forcefully turned away.

He had long ago buried those painful past memories.

Moving on, he pushed the door open and saw a maid in the room waiting with her head bowed down.

Despite hearing the door open, she dared not look up for she feared her life. When the head maid had informed them that the prince asked for a maid, she had immediately volunteered knowing the advantage of the prince having that type of request. It had been quite a while since the prince had drank her blood. The same maids don't go frequently unless they don't value their lives. She wondered if the prince would bed her.

Normally, Lucas would have bedded the maid, but just the idea of doing that made his skin crawl.

He made his way to the couch and sat down comfortably. Waving his hand, the maid immediately came and she shyly sat beside him.

Knowing what to do, she craned her neck and without wasting any more time, Lucas sank his fangs into her flesh and the maid closed her eyes in pleasure.

Just the thought of Lisa been in the maid's position made Lucas take larger gulps of the sweet metallic blood that flowed from the maid's neck.

He couldn't stop.

He didn't want to stop.

But he still stopped, and pulled away from the maid that was now unconscious.

"You almost killed her." Theodore stated looking at the unconscious maid.

"My bad." He said without any remorse and used his tongue to lick the smudge of blood that had come to stain his lips. He stared at Theodore, a little doubtful of what he just said. Theodore had never scolded him for almost killing maids, even he himself had killed a few times.

"Do you know her?." Asked Lucas.

But Theodore didn't answer, and instead picked up the maid hanging her over his shoulder before replying." I will be taking her to the servants quarters" After saying that, he disappeared.

"How odd" Lucas mused and pulled out a folded parchment from the pocket of his trousers.

"A poem?"
