*NOT A MISTRESS BUT HIS WIFE*

Lisa's feet padded against the floor as she trailed slowly to the dining. She had been waiting for Lucas to return but hours had gone yet he showed no signs of returning and his friend Theodore was no where to be found!.

Once again, he had left without telling her where he went to. She felt a pinch in her heart. He still didn't trust her yet.

She arrived at the dining shortly after and not even a single soul was present

Hearing her stomach grumble again, she decided to look for the kitchen to satisfy her hunger.

Taking her chance, she left the dining in search of the kitchen.

Lisa pushed the double doors open and slowly walked out trying to locate the kitchen. Luckily, she spotted a maid that was watering a flower pot and she decided to ask her.

"Excuse me. Please do you know where the kitchen is?"

The maid who heard her stopped watering the plant and bowed her head deeply.

"You don't need to burden yourself with that task milady! The maids are more than capable in bringing your food if I ask them."

Lisa dismissed her words nicely"No, no, I'll be fine, besides, I see you are busy here and please lift your head."

The maid hesitantly lifted her head but did not make eye contact with her"Okay milady, please this way."

Lisa nodded and followed the maid who led the way.

Whilst the walked, she noted some maids giving her side glances but for some reason, they immediately feigned ignorance by going back to their work whenever she returned their hot gaze.

"The maids here are really unwelcoming." She commented along the way.

"You don't have to worry about that milady." The maid assured dutifully.

Finally, they arrived at the kitchen and she was fascinated at how big it was. It was literally bigger than her entire house back at home.

Home..

The word sounded foreign. Her heart clenched. Home wasn't home without the people you enjoy it with.

Strangely, the castle felt more like home which she was getting comfortable with. Though it was just a few months that she had been staying here, she had more memories than she could count.

Straying out of her thoughts, she observed the large kitchen and how well groomed it. It was painted white, all the cupboards and tables were also white and were decorated in white shiny diamonds.

As if sensing her, some of the maids stopped to stare at her while she advanced towards a man in white that was giving orders, probably preparing for dinner.

"Hello sir." She tapped his back lightly and the man turned around, about to shout at the stupid maid that had dared disturbed him instead of working but he halted in his tracks when he saw a beautiful woman who wore clothes befitting a royal.

"Milady." He quickly bowed his head and looked at the ends of her stunning silk gown.

'Why did everyone have to do that?' Lisa thought.

"Please lift your head, I just came to get some snacks." Her soft voice soothened his already distressed mind.

"Of course, right away milady." He couldn't help but be captivated by her beautiful face which matched completely with her stunning eyes.

Tearing his gaze away from her, he wondered if his Highness had brought an angel to his castle and he prayed she had an effect on his behaviour soon.

Immediately he left, Lisa intended to stay quietly at a corner and wait peacefully but a group of women walked in afterwards with Audrey being at the center.

A nasty feeling overcomed Lisa and she knew that this woman was definitely here to look for trouble.

Her peaceful wait was definitely not going to be peaceful.

"Okay ladies, we are here and we can ask one of these low lives to-" She started but paused when she saw Lisa standing there.

"Look who we have here." She smiled, completely forgetting about what she came here for.

"Isn't that the girl that his Highness was meant to protect?" One of the women there asked and from her clothing, you could tell that she was an elite.

"I heard that she is his Highnesses new mistress." Another woman said and Audrey scoffed.

" Of course not Sarah, His Highness will not stoop so low as to sleep with this sorry excuse of a human here."

They all laughed afterwards and Lisa bit her lips until they bled to avoid saying anything but one of the women continued talking."Even though we believe he can't do that, isn't it odd that Lucas had stopped accepting any of us to share a bed with him even to drink blood from us has stopped and that includes Audrey too." Sarah eyed Audrey who seemed to be fuming in anger.

"Audrey and his Highness were so close, we all are still wondering how things went down the hill so fast." Sarah continued without noticing the signals that the rest of her friends were giving her.

Slap!

Audrey slapped Sarah whose eyes widened in shock.

"Don't forget your place!." Audrey warned and turned to Lisa who didn't want to get involved in this at all but Audrey seemed hellbent in doing so.

"How many times had he bedded you?" She asked shamelessly and Lisa was speechless. Could this woman hear what she was saying!?.

"Just as I thought. He hadn't right? That only means one thing. You mean nothing to him. Nothing at all. In case you don't know, I had bedded him 5 times." She smiled triumphantly and Lisa frowned, she didn't let what Audrey was saying get to her.

"You must have become disgusting for him to stop sleeping with you then." Lisa finally spoke and Audrey's face flushed red.

"How dare you whore!?"

'Whore? She could clearly see the person expected to have that name.' Lisa thought and grimaced, putting her hand over her nose.

"It must have been because of the foul odor coming from your mouth. I mean, who would want to kiss that? Poor Lucas had to deal with this." Lisa put on a pity face.

Everyone in the kitchen froze, gaping at the brave woman and Audrey who was now speechless for the first time.

"And just so you know, I'm not his mistress but his future wife."
