*MEMORIES- PART 5*

"Hmm? You know my name?" He tilted his head to the side as he studied the strange woman that held her mouth in shock.

"Of course! Who doesn't know the name of the great right hand of our wonderful crown prince!." She quickly composed herself and flashed Theodore one of her prize winning smiles but he only stared at her.

"Let her in." He ordered the guards and they gave him a look of surprise. Lisa couldn't be more happier with those words he said.

"I'm sure the crown prince would love to meet the woman that called his face stupid." He continued and Lisa's eyes shot back to Theodore who gave her a small smile.

Hearing that, the guards quickly opened the gate and Lisa slipped in before they would change Thier mind.

"You didn't really mean what you said to the guards right?." She followed Theodore who had started walking into the castle and she heard him chuckle.

"The prince hears everything that happens in the castle grounds. Even if I don't tell him, I'm very sure he has heard everything." He informed her and Lisa's face turned pale in terror.

Why did she have to go and open her large mouth and say that now?.

"I heard that you wanted to apply for a job here, I'm guessing a maid?." He questioned and Lisa replied

"Yes, I wanted to apply for a job to become a maid."

"Before you become a maid here, you'll have to answer some few questions from me and if you answer it truthfully then you'll get the job. But if you fail to do so, I'll eliminate you on the spot." He smiled when he said so but Lisa only blinked at him.

What in hell's name?.

"First question, why do you need this job?." He continued walking and Lisa thought calmly before answering.

"I have been sent by my mother to acquire something precious while staying at this job. She loves me very much and she advised me a lot before I came here." Lisa explained and she had to applaud herself for saying the truth in such a twisted way.

Theodore nodded as he continued walking"The next and the last question is, will you serve the prince with outmost loyalty and not betray him?."

"I will serve the prince with outmost loyalty and try my best not to betray him." Lisa said seriously and Theodore nodded as they approached a large door.

"You passed the test, now you are a full maid of the castle. This is the maids quarters, the head maid will give you all the needed supplies." He gave Lisa a slight bow before walking away and Lisa stared at his retreating silhouette.

It was finally time.

She opened the double doors and walked into the long passage way which had multiple doors situated opposite each other.

"You there!." She heard a woman's sharp voice and she turned around to see a plump woman in her early thirties walking towards her.

"Are you the new maid?." The woman asked in distate and Lisa nodded.

"My name is Lillian." She introduced, adding a curtsey to go with it.

"Okay Lilian, your things have been arranged in your room. Go there and rest well as work will start in the morning." The woman spoke and turned around, walking to one of the rooms and opening it.

"What are you waiting for?." She eyed Lisa and Lisa quickly scurried ahead, thanking the woman and entering the room.

The woman didn't spare her another glance and left, leaving Lisa alone by herself as she shut the door.

The room she was given wasn't big but it wasn't small either, it was an average size room which had all the basic necessities stacked within.

She went to the bed and saw a new maids uniform, neatly arranged at the centre with a pair of long socks and black shoes.

She put it aside, and lay on the bed that bounced as she sank into the soft sheets. It almost felt to good to be true. She was sent back to the past, she was in Lillian's body, she met her mother, she was undercover and she got to know everything that happened before she came into Lucas's life.

For the first time ever since she come to the underworld, she hadn't been tried to be killed. Everything was going so smoothly. It was going too smoothly and it bothered a part of her mind.

She didn't know how she got here or how she was going to return back but what she knew was that she wasn't going to show anyone here her weakness.

That was the last thought in Lisa's mind as she fell into a peaceful slumber.

"Hey ! Wake up." A maid shook Lisa's body and Lisa opened her eyes tiredly as a yawn escaped her lips.

"What time is it?." Lisa asked as she stretched.

"It's time to work!." The maid shook Lisa again and Lisa woke up with a start. That was when everything came back to her. She was a maid and she couldn't be late on her first day of work!.

Without wasting more time, she quickly freshened up and changed into her maid uniform, tying her her into a bun with a black ribbon.

The colour of the uniform was white and black all together.

"What's your name?." She asked the maid that woke her up as they hurried through the halls.

"I'm Emily. What your name?."

"Lilian. Where are we meant to work?." Lisa questioned as she quickened her footsteps to match the maid's.

"We are meant to serve the crown prince's breakfast at the dining with the others as he has visitors from other kingdoms." They arrived at the kitchen and Lisa noticed many maids scurrying around trying to pick Thier respective plates to dish.

So this was how they worked to bring those heaps of food she always saw on the dining.

"You!." She saw that same plump woman coming as she glared at both of them.

"How dare you come late!." Her voice increased and Emily shrank behind Lisa in fear.

"I am very sorry ma'am, I'll take full responsibility for coming late." Lisa bowed her head as she apologized but the woman seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed that day.

"You shut up!."
