Chapter - 3 ( Wedding shenanigans )

Third P.O.V

As the cousins are catching up with all the things they did in this period of three years the parents are busy planning for their next step . Now that they have made sure that Carina returned to Bangladesh they are also thinking about her future . No matter how open minded they become, they still revert back to their thinking of the old style . After all Costa family members have had lunch , the cousins plan to go shopping because they have a Holud to attend tomorrow . The girls take Xavi with them and keep Tiana and Michael at home because both of them are still too young to be taken alone with the cousins . As the cousins were talking about going to the market and buy a lehenga , a set of salwaar kameeze and some nice jewelry and some heels when Lia's parents came and handed some money to her which led to string of protests from Xavi , Rosanne and Carina which amused the other elders too much and they all tried to stifle a laughter. Xavi protested by saying " Auntie , Can't I buys something's for my sister with my own money ? Are you going to make me feel like an outsider by giving her money when I the Eldest brother is going with her ?" Rosanne protested by saying " Mumma , you know I am going so can't I buys things for my own sister with the money I earn ? Are you going to be like this with your own daughter ?" . Carina didn't protest but stated !

Carina's P.O.V

As I have come to Bangladesh after 3 years I am going to buys all my cousins some things as a gift as I couldn't bring much for them from Canada , and all the things Mica and Tia needs I will buy them after doing a video call and asking for their opinion ok guys ? I asked when my aunt replied " Why will you waste you money and how much did you earn that you are lavishing like this ? Shouldn't you save your hard earned money ? " Don't worry auntie , I have already saved some and I have already given , the first salary to Maa , papa , and both my grandmas . So don't worry , your niece is loaded ! Hearing this everyone busted into laughter which only made me smile . I want nothing but smiles on my families face . To see them smile I can do anything and everything .

We got ready in 5 minutes and then went outside when I realized that staying away from my home country I did forgot the Heat waves of Bangladesh while waiting inside the car but we still managed to go to a mall and then Xavi parked the car inside the mall garage and started looking at some shop when I noticed my favorite drink cart and me and my cousins went towards it and ordered the largest coffee with boba which I loved and got addicted to it and made sure my cousins knew about it to so they have been addicted to it too! As we were waiting for the drinks we though of playing games then Lia suggested we play the game Xavi learned when he was in his teenage year and he made sure all of us cousins learnt . It would have been awkward for other to play with their cousin but not us . We have seen each other from our childhood and know that it' never going to be awkward amongst us . Lia said " Come on let's play the game of Pickup lines " To which Xavi replied " Why ? You need more practice to flirt with your enemy /my best friend Collin " . Hearing this Rosanne was guffawing and I was shocked because I didn't know that Xavi knew about their quarrels . Well it was fight for them but I could see that they both like each other even if they don't admit it .

Third P.O.V

To help Lia out Rosanne said " Come on let's start " Xavi started by saying " If I were a cat I would spend all my 9 lives with you guys " This made Carina and Rosanne aww and Lia fake gag even though they saw her aww a little bit . " Sorry but mine is gonna be a little crude . HeHe . So Roses are red , Violets are blue . My bed has a space for two " Rosanne said and then winked to which Carina replied by saying this then winked with a smirk " Twinkle twinkle little star , we can do it in the car" . Xavi was having a shocked look and Lia was on the floor laughing her ass literally off and Rosanne was speechless because the eldest brother and sister never knew that Carina also had a wild side . To be honest Carina and Lia always vibe more than Rosanne and Xavi whereas those two vibe more but that never was a reason for them to fight ! Xavi came with a bash by saying " I was wondering if you could tell me: If you’re here, who’s running Heaven?" To this all of them cringed hard even Carina ! Before they could finish the staff at the drinks cart started giving them their drinks to them and they put a stop to their games and with a serious face all of them took a gulp of the cold satisfying drink and sighed heavily and dramatically and then looked at each other and laughed heartily .

Xavi's P.O.V

I thought it would be great to go wedding shopping with the girls and bond with them more together but I forgot how much they like to window shop rather than actually buying . They had surfed almost 5 to 6 shops and only after me threating them of calling Michelle auntie did they start their actual shopping . First they went to a store of traditional wears to see what they would wear a sari or a salwaar kameeze . When the girls were looking at the salwaar kameeze collection Lia and Rosanne decided to go for salwaar kameeze but Carina went for a sari . Lia and Rosanne went with the decision of twinning and went with a long white anarkali kameeze with fat but light multi coloured border and a mix contrasting orna of red , orange and pink which looked very beautiful on them. Carina on the other hand chose a Yellow banarasi sari with heavy embroidered border and green blue blouse . She had specifically chosen yellow to not stand out much as we didn't know what the dress colour code is ! After that when I went to pay for all of them , the cashier giggled said " Your sister already paid for it when you were teasing your sister and admiring your other sister's antics " . This only made me angry and when I went to Carina to refute to her but she had the audacity to just look me in the eye and shout " Let's go jewelry shopping !" and then skipped towards the known jewelry shop . Then I heard Lia and Rosanne chuckle so did the staff at the clothing store . So I just huffed and went with them .

Carina's P.O.V

I had so much fun during this last 2 to 3 hours while shopping with my cousins . I had bought them salwaar kameeze and matching jewelries then we went on to buys matching shoes . After we finished our shopping Xavi thought our shopping was complete but then I bought some clothes for Michael and Tiana after I video called them and showed some of the clothes I liked and their matching jewelries . Then I surprised my Older bro Xavi with a white and yellow panjabi and some loafers . As it had already been 8 so I texted my mom to let her know that we will have our dinner outside . We went to the food court inside the mall and I had biryani but Lia had oven baked pasta and Rosanne and Xavi had jajangmyeon . After having food from the food court we went towards the parking lot to get the car and Xavi drove towards my house . As we entered the house ma greeted us and Mica and papa helped us with the shopping bags . As all of us settled down and then went to change to our night clothes .

" So, let me tell you all the plan for tomorrow ! The holud night begins from the late evening but we have to go early to help your Aunt and uncle , Though you guys don't know them but they have helped your father and the uncle respects your father a lot so try to help as much as you can and please try to remain calm and not argue ok ? "

I nodded then she continued " In the morning , Girls get the mehendi done on your hand and Xayden will take Xavi and Michael with him to go to their house and see if they need any help ! So by my Ma 's command I started getting the mehendi done by one of the beautician my aunt ordered .

When the mehendi was being applied to me I started to look in my instagram and saw some dm's from my friends in Canada . Even though they knew that I will be coming to Bangladesh , they were worried for me and my mental and physical health which I appreciated a lot and replied with a heart full of love and thought about the difference in life here and there . While thinking about this the beautician said that she complete applying mehendi on both my hands which angered me and I shouted " Who told you to apply mehendi on both my hands ? Did you ask me before applying mehendi on both my hands ? How am I going to eat now ?......."

Third P.O.V

Before Carina could continue with her rant , her maa interfered and saved the beautician from her wrath . Though her sisters could not be saved from her wrath when she had heard them giggling and making fun of her "Foreigner struggles "

All the commotion came to a halt when Michelle assured Carina that she will help her with everything and even feed her.
