"Ah, right! Sneak, come here!" The glass guy called over his friend, "Thank you very much for telling us this."
"No problem." Lotus responded, "If you ever run into any trouble again, you can always try to contact the committee leader. Out of everyone, he's the strictest about rules, so you can rest assure that he can take care of other misbehaving students. Oh, but do remember not to break any rules yourselves as guests. You will throw him into a dilemma otherwise."
"And why are you telling us all this?" The red hair dwarf scowled, "How can we be sure that you aren't the mastermind?"
"Granz!" The glasses guy scolded him with a scowl.
Lotus laughed, "I don't mind. I like people with blunt personalities. No nonsense. In fact, what he said isn't wrong. I might even be considered a mastermind in this school. Haha!"
"I knew it!"
"Granz!"
The others quickly tried to pull him back as Lotus chuckled, "Okay, okay. He's partly right though. The only reason why I am the mastermind here is because I don't possess magic."
"What?!" They looked to him in disbelief when they heard this.
"It's true." Lotus sighed, "I don't possess any magic, but I was still specially brought here by the magic mirror's recommendation. Since I will be under the persecution of others, I naturally have to be sneaky in this school. Things didn't get better for me until I received the position of Nurse's personal assistant. My current situation makes it difficult for the headmaster to reject my entrance or for me to leave by my own choice. However, not many dares to play around with me."
"Why's that?" The glasses guy looked to her in confusion.
Lotus sighed, "Don't you know? Those who know medicine must also know poison. Though I have yet to poison anyone, I've already displayed many of my poisons to the alchemy teacher and that earned me a safe bubble to reside in until the storm slowly subsides. I also have friends that I can trust as well. Such a position is a double edge blade as there are those who doubt me or don't want to get close to me, but it's already better than nothing for me. What're a few suspicions compared to a life where I can get picked on constantly by others? I have my ways to prove my own innocence too. I'm already satisfied with what I have now anyway. I only need to be here for three years too. I'll study what I want then return home. I got a big family to check on."
"Still, that's amazing that you are able to thrive in such a tough place." The glasses boy said curiously, "It's too bad that you didn't get to go to Royal Sword Academy instead."
"Well, I did receive a recommendation letter from the school." Lotus responded.
"What?!" They looked to her in disbelief.
"Then why didn't you go?" The glasses boy questioned in bewilderment.
"It's because Night Raven College is in second place." Lotus responded bluntly.
"Huh?" They looked to her in confusion.
"When you're number one, there are no more challenges laid ahead of you to keep succeeding but to do things for the sake of others." Lotus responded with a sigh, "That is a wonderful way of thinking, but what I'm looking for isn't under this type of ambition. The type of ambition I want to be around are those that push themselves on the line to surpass others. Those that are willing to go the distance and dive the deepest depths just to surpass others above them. To be surrounded by such ambitious people... I want to put myself against them in the field of alchemy and science. Hence, why I chose Night Raven College over Royal Sword Academy. The ambitions to become first place is what gives them the motivation to go farther than anyone. Since it's like this, then I'll stay in this school instead."
"I see." The glasses boy nodded, "When you put it that way, it does make sense. It's a surprise and pleasure to have met a student such as yourself in this school, then. Night Raven College is really fortunate to have a student with such deep insight as their student. Oh! It's almost time for the rehearsals! Please excuse us! Is everyone ready? Let's hurry to the waiting room!"
"All right!"
After the group closed the door behind them, Zhang Li appeared beside her and whispered, "Such carefree students... Master, just what are they?"
"They are a group of smaller faes called dwarves." Lotus responded before returning to her own work, "They are Neige's team."
"But, how will they perform?"
"That's what I'm curious about as well." Lotus responded, "I've never seen such a group before. Their performance must also be pretty unique. Hence, I'll go and witness their performance later this evening. Forget that now. Tell me how are those people doing right now."
"According to our intel, they are getting ready." Zhang Li responded and whispered into her ear, "One of them..."
"What?!"
The sudden thud of Lotus slamming the pen on the table and her suddenly standing up quickly forced Zhang Li to retreat back waiting calmly for her next instructions.
"Are you sure about this?" Lotus looked to her with a stern look on her face.
"Yes, Master."
A sneer crept up her face as she glared out the window with enough tension to make Zhang Li shiver in her shoes, "Good... Very good! Haha! It seems that those people don't want to live anymore! Zhang Li, come here. You will say this..."
Whispering the contents into Zhang Li's ear, the servant's eyes widen in surprise before she nodded and cupped her fist, "This one understands, sir!"
She then quickly left the room through the window and sighed in dismay. Who told them to fiddle around with her master's people? Now that they did, she will definitely not let them go no matter how much they plead. This is also a reminder to them that they can not mess around with her master's people without her permission.
.....
Having finished her work, Lotus went down to the purple stadium to find that its construction have been completed. She went into the corridor of the stadium to find the waiting room only to find the group had already begun their rehearsal. As the familiar sound started to flow out with a fast beat. Vil in the center began as the man opened his mouth, "That radiance which seems to be falling apart~ I'll erase it for you~~!"
"Hey! So absolutely beautiful! No chance to beat us! No way, no way!"
"Hey! So absolutely beautiful! No chance to beat us! No one, no way!"
As they continued dancing to their lyrics, Vil continued in the center of the formation with a low voice, "How would you like some sweet poison? Is it to your taste? I have everything in my grasp. That is absolute~."
Suddenly, the light flashed to Jamil and he sang with a wide smile, "Ah~... The stir in my heart..."
"Like the red of an apple, it'll one day rot away~!" Epel sang the last phrase as soon as the light shifted to him.
"Kyaa. So cute!"
"Hm?" Lotus raised a brow and glanced over to the wall of the stadium from the back and noticed a small group of three girls hiding behind the pillars. Lotus frowned and contacted Crystal. In less than a few minutes, she got her reply to which she sneered, "Those guys really do enjoy playing cat and mouse now compared to before. Well, let's play, shall we?"
"Do you need anything, Lotus?" Crystal questioned curiously.
"It's all right. Unless there are any movement, you can sit back on this one." Lotus responded with a wide smile.
.....
The three girls were making their way closer to the group as Vil and the other performed before hiding behind the seats closer to the stage quietly.
"Did you check to see if the flash is off?" One of the girls whispered quietly.
"Obviously!" The other whispered back with a wide grin, "With this, we can snap so many pictures and sell them at school!"
"OMG! Niege is here too?!" The other whispered quietly, "It's rare to see the two together like this!"
All three of them had their smartphones already on camera setting and two decided to take the picture as the other keeps an eye on from behind.
"Ooh! Look at how coordinated he is with his moves!" The other squealed.
"OMG! He's looking in this direction!"
"Ah, hey! Make sure he doesn't see us!"
"It's all right. My phone is just above the armrest. It will be fine... Kya-!"
Suddenly a strong gust of wind blew past them and putting a flair in the team's performance just as it was about to end.
"Ah, quick! Take that picture!" One of the girls exclaimed, "It will sell for hundreds!"
"Ah, right!"
Suddenly, there was a bright flash as Vil stopped posing for their final choreography and narrowed his eyes with a scowl, "Ugh... That light! Who's there?!"
