There was an abrupt silence between them after Sabrina asked. It took Atticus quite a while before he could figure out what to say.
He couldn't possibly tell her the truth, neither was it easy to bring himself to lie to her.
"You can never be Kathryna. She is completely different from you," he finally replied, a pale look on his face.
Instead of feeling at ease, he felt like he was going crazy. How long would he keep doing this?
"You are right. I can never be her," Sabrina mumbled.
Even though she doesn't remember anything about her past, she is very sure she wasn't a daughter of someone important to have been loved by Atticus.
About to return to what she was doing earlier before she knocked, she turned to face Atticus after remembering the wardrobe and dresses he got her earlier.
"Thank you for the wardrobe and dresses."
"Do you like it?" Atticus' pale face changed into a bright smile as he asked.
