My mother looked surprised and a little worried.

Aunt Selene looked at me curiously, she hadn't seen me until then.

"How did Mil lose so much weight in just three months Gina?" – she asked.

My mother's name was Georgina Bulstrode

"One of her colleagues gave her something that made her lose weight, when she arrived I took her directly to St. Mungo's for a check-up, but it seems that what they gave her works perfectly Sele." – explained my mother.

The surprise didn't leave Aunt Selene's face.

"What do you need to talk to us about Mil?" – asked my mother, looking at me.

"Can I close the door first?" – I asked.

My mother thought this was strange, but in the end she motioned for me to go ahead.

As soon as I closed the door I turned to the two.

"I found someone I like and who likes me back." – I declared a little shakily.

Things could go wrong from here if Kai is wrong.

"Oh, and what's the boy's name?" – asked my mother.

"Gemma Farley." – I replied, expecting the worst of the situation.

The two in front of me froze for a moment.

"The Farley heiress? Did you got her after losing weight?" – asked Aunt Selene, a little nervous.

I shook my head.

"I lost weight just over a week ago. She and I have been seeing each other since last year." – I confessed.

My mother looked at me with a complicated attitude, but in the end she chose to be angry with me.

"I heard she's been sleeping with all the Slytherin heirs, do you think you're special to her?" – said my mother in a confrontational tone.

This answer showed me something, it didn't point out the fact that what I was doing was wrong, but rather Gemma's adventures.

"Since last month, she hasn't had a relationship with any of the heirs, just me." – I replied.

"But you are two girls." – Aunt Selene tried to argue, unsure if she should say those words.

"You are too." – I commented, trying my luck.

Aunt Selene and my mother got nervous and straightened in their seats when they heard me say that.

"The same friend who helped me lose weight theorized that you were a couple. Was he right?" – I asked.

They seemed uncomfortable with the invasion of their privacy and didn't want to admit it to me. But this action was enough to confirm Kai's theory.

"Mom, I would like you to start talking to the Farleys about Gemma." – I asked without hiding the hope in my voice.

My mother seemed to be a little sad at that moment.

"Honey, they'll never accept it." – she said, almost whispering.

"So could you help convince them to marry her to a specific person?" – I asked, trying another angle.

"What do you have in mind Mil? – asked Aunt Selene.

"We discussed this with a mutual friend and he said we need to at least stay safe for the next few years. The Deatheaters are moving to marry off their sons to the daughters of influential people to expand their influence, Gemma, myself and a second year, Bridget Storm, were offered marriage by the Crabbes, Bridget even ran away from home because her father accepted." – I explained.

The two women in front of me swallowed my words.

"Do you two remember Bridget?" – I asked.

"Yes, a beautiful girl. Her father accepted the Crabbes' offer…what was he thinking." – said Aunt Selene in a complicated tone.

"Vincent is even fatter than I was and he is one of the dumbest creatures I know next to Goyle." – I said, feeling disgusted just thinking about those two.

The two in front of me seemed to capture my feeling.

"They are back in action, they know that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is still alive. Anyone who disagrees with them will be persecuted." – I completed my explanation.

They were both really worried in front of me.

"Where did you get that from Mil?" – asked my mother.

I took a deep breath.

"He was at Hogwarts during my first year trying to get the Philosopher's Stone that was being kept in the castle. Last year someone opened the Chamber of Secrets and attacked the Muggleborns, this year Sirius Black invaded the castle after Neville Longbottom." – I listed it for them.

They started to put together all the information I had given them so far and their conclusions were not good at all.

"How come Pan never talked about anything during your first year at Hogwarts?" – asked Aunt Selene, trying to find some hole in my story.

"She is aways going after Malfoy in the castle and she might have told Uncle Felicius… I told Dad when he asked me about the strange thing that happened at the castle after my first year. – I argued trying to make her understand what I was implying.

The two women in front of me looked like they didn't want to believe that information like that never reached them.

"Who is this friend of yours who thought all of this?" – asked my mother after a few minutes of thinking.

"Kai Mao, he is the Nott's nephew. But he didn't go back there after the end of his first year, he's living alone." – I replied explaining.

The two looked at each other once again.

"Feilong was a terrible and irritating man, he dragged poor Matilda…" – said my mother, but couldn't finish.

Both my mother and Aunt Selene were thoughtful for a few moments after that.

"Do you believe you can trust this boy?" – my mother finally asked.

I nodded, I knew enough to trust that he would never join them.

"We're going to need to confirm what you just said dear, it's not that we don't want to trust you, but we need to have proof of what you're saying." – said Aunt Selene, still not wanting to believe it.

My mother nodded.

"Returning to the subject of your marriage and that of heiress Farley, what did you think about doing? – asked my mother, changing the subject.

I took a deep breath.

"If there is no possibility of Gemma and I getting together, I believe the best option is for us both to be engaged to the same person." – I explained without the firmness I would like in my voice.

"Polygamy? But that hasn't happened for hundreds of years. – said my mother worriedly.

"We may not have specific laws about it, but the practice has basically been banned." – argued Aunt Selene.

"All the heirs are trying to control us, if we want to have our freedom we need to be in the care of someone who will not participate on their side in what is to come... Dad may be too dangerous to be left at home, he has a great grudge against you two and if aunt Selene think Uncle Felicius doesn't know anything, I believe you're wrong." – I explained to both of them.

The two were once again thoughtful and apprehensive.

"Felicius wouldn't do…" – began Aunt Selene.

"Goboldo would do it, we just need one of them with resentment, I too have endured too much his presence." – interrupted my mother in a firm tone.

Aunt Selene trembled briefly.

"The best thing would be to secure the home defenses after getting him out. You will investigate whether Felicius is participating in this and if he is, you will take refuge here." – said my mother, keeping her tone.

Aunt Selene wanted to argue against it, but after a while she nodded.

It was as if I was seeing Gemma and I in front of me, only my mother was Gemma and I was Aunt Selene.

I straightened my posture, wanting to appear confident.

He will begin releasing new potion recipes into the market and establish himself as a Potion Maker in the near future." – I said so they both understood that Kai was a good option.

The two raised their eyebrows curiously.

"Is he your colleague?" – asked my mother.

I shook my head.

"He's a year below me, but I shouldn't be able to even come close to him in a fight, be it magical or physical." – I said.

My mother was surprised, she knew I had punched Crabbe and Goyle in my first year as she had received a letter from Hogwarts about it.

He made them all go to the infirmary and they were punished for a whole month because of it." – I said trying to show that Kai was not someone to take lightly.

My mother nodded impressed.

"What else does he have to offer?" – Aunt Selene asked curiously.

At that moment I started thinking about what to answer and my face involuntarily blushed because I could only think about his 'attributes'. Then I thought about the Dans he had given me.

I took a deep breath trying to think of how to organize my words.

"It looks like he won't just take care of you girls" – commented Aunt Selene, amused by the situation.

My mother was left open-mouthed, she didn't expect this revelation.

"Millicent, you know very well that a family like ours shouldn't do this kind of thing before marriage." – said my mother in an imperative tone.

I could feel like steam was coming out of my body because I was so embarrassed.

"Um… one more reason to choose him." – I finally said when I got it.

My mother snorted dissatisfiedly.

"But this boy must be something, he took two girls who are a couple into his bed." – commented Aunt Selene.

My mother was taken aback by her comment. At that moment I could see curiosity arising in her.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I took Fat Loss Dan out of my pocket.

"I still have one of the Dans he gave me for weight loss." – I said, offering it to my mother.

""Dans?"" – asked the two together.

I nodded.

"Is he an apprentice to the Dan Master who is working with Mr Mulpepper's Apothecary?" – asked my mother.

I shook my head.

"He is the Dan Master of Mr Mulpepper's Apothecary." – I said.

At that moment they were impressed.

I really appreciated that we had time to talk more about him before the winter break, this information was coming in handy.

"This kid is really something different." – commented Aunt Selene.

They had no idea.
