Sense of direction

When they finally arrived they saw that a lot of people decided to eat here too like them. They were talking to each other.

[Ah... Nobody is fighting.]

Lucius was really disappointed because he was expecting something else like someone fighting but it was quite peaceful. And he didn't want them to know that he was disappointed so he was hiding it behind a neutral face.

[It seems... he is disappointed.]

Both Kai and Eira noticed it. Even when he tried to hide it he couldn't hide it from his friends who knew him since he was a child. But it was not like they could start a fight for him. Maybe Eira would do it but she didn't want to get a punishment on the first day of school. So the only thing they could do was shifting his attention to somewhere else.

"Look Lucius there are so many different kinds of foods.", Kai found the distraction fast. And...It actually worked. Lucius looked at the food with sparkling eyes and was beginning to think what he would get because: [There are so many kinds of food I want to try. Will it be here too tomorrow or is it only today?]

Lucius really wanted to know. He can't eat everything so he needed to choose wisely.

[Ah... I want that.]

Lucius was looking at a dessert that just screamed deliciously. He wanted to get it but he didn't want to look like a greedy person. Lucius already took a lot of different kinds of food so if he took something delicious like that they would think he was greedy. That is what he thought though. But in reality, nobody even noticed he was there.

"Lucius here.", Eira came and gave him the dessert he was looking at.

"You see. I can't eat it now because I'm on a diet but I wanted to know if it tastes good so I know it when I'm done with dieting. So after you eat it tell me what you think, okay?"

Eira was smiling while saying this. She really thought Lucius was really cute when he looked at that. He was almost drooling so she couldn't help but want to give it to him so he can be happy.

"But...", Lucius still didn't want to accept it even when Eira said all that.

"No buts, just eat it. It is not like you need to get on a diet like Eira. Not like it will make a difference.", Kai said to make Lucius accept the dessert.

"I am only going to eat it because of Eira, you understand?", he didn't smile but his face lighted up. You could see perfectly that ye was happy even when he didn't show it.

"Yes, we understand. But...", Eira turned to Kai: "What do you mean there will be no difference even when I will go-to diet. Do you mean that I'm so slim or that I will always be fat?"

You could see a vein on her face to show that she will explode if she heard something she didn't want to hear.

"Let's go eat, Lucius.", Kai decided it would be best to ignore her and he just looked for a table where they could sit with each other. But it seemed like it would be hard because the canteen was kind of full. In the end, they found a place, there were three other people at the table but it was better than nothing so they decided to just there.

Lucius put his hands together and said: "Thanks for the food."

He always did his. It was something he did since he was young. His family said it was important to show that you know the worth of the food. Because without we will die. That is why he needed to show respect to people who make it and show respect while eating.

"Lucius", said Eira: "Why did you leave so fast? When we arrived at your home they told us you were already gone. Even your family didn't notice it."

"Right, didn't we say that we would go together?", Kai said after Eira was done talking.

"Ah that. Um..."

[How do I need to answer? It is not like I can tell that I'm not the Lucius of this world or something like that.]

"Um...You see... I wanted to search for my classroom before school started and you know my sense of direction is not the best so I left quite early.", Lucius really didn't know what to say so he just randomly said this.

"To search for your classroom you say?", Kai looked at Lucius's eyes to see that he was lying but he couldn't really take it back so he answered: "Yes, to search for my classroom."

"*SIGH*", Eira sighed: "I know that your sense of direction is not that good but why didn't you take us along it would be much easier."

"I was really excited for today so I couldn't sleep well. That is why I was up so early and I didn't want to wake you guys up when it was still early.

Lucius didn't care anymore he just said what was coming even when it sounded suspicious he didn't care.

[Wait. Did she just say my sense of direction ain't good? I don't remember it was that bad. I mean I never got lost wherever I went. Ah... Maybe I did get lost once or twice or maybe even trice or more... But most of the time not. Wait...Is that why they would always make me take an assistant?]

"But warn us if you are going to do something like.", Kai looked at Lucius and he just nodded to show that he understood.

"It already happened so let's just forget it and focus more on our food.", with that Kai ended the discussion about this subject.

"Ah yeah, let's eat.", Lucius didn't want to think further about it.

Actually, he just didn't want to admit that he was bad at that. He found it a bit embarrassing. So he just ignored it and put it behind. But he would regret it when he was lost in a lot of different places.
