10_A canteen is special

"It's time to eat.", Iyan said.

"We can eat together, or you can eat with your friends. What do you guys want?"

"I want to eat with my friends.", someone said. The others too wanted to eat with their friends and nodded their heads.

"Okay, that is settled. You can now go to your friends and eat in the canteen or somewhere else. Come to your classroom when you hear the bell. Everyone should get there at the second bell. You have 5 minutes to get there. Does everybody understand?"

"Yes teacher!!!", everybody said in harmony.

Iyan looked satisfied: "See you after the lunch pause."

With this everybody dispersed and went looking for their friends in the other classes.

[What should I do now?]

Lucius was the only one left. He didn't know where to go.

Because does he even have a friend?

He didn't remember.

Someone suddenly jumped at Lucius's back. He was surprised and looked at the person who got off his back.

"Did I scare you?", the person who said this grinned at Lucius.

The person was a girl. She was not that big. Maybe around 155 cm. She had light brown hair slightly longer than her shoulders and blue eyes like the bright sky. She looked like an energized girl and with a grin that looked a little bit mischievous.

"Stop playing around.", said a voice behind her.

The voice belonged to a boy who had the same height as Lucius. The boy had dark brown hair and light brown eyes. He seemed a bit cold and aloof. But you could see in his eyes that he cared about the girl and maybe even for Lucius.

"Humph! I was not playing around.", said the girl back.

"I was just surprising Lucius."

"*SIGH* If you say so.", with that the boy looked at Lucius and said: "We came to eat together. Where are we going to eat?", he asked.

[Ah... That's right. I did have friends, but it was so long ago that I forgot.]

Lucius now remembered them. He couldn't remember that he once had a friend but now that he saw them in front of him, he remembered them. He remembered that Lin isn't his first friend but maybe his first friend after his debut.

Thinking about his past he thought that he really was crazy. He was so obsessed with training that he didn't have time for anyone. He regretted it but he realized it too late.

"Eira...Kai...", Lucius was always thankful for both of them. They knew each other when they were 5 and till now, they were still friends. Even when he ignored them for something else, they never hated or ignored him. They would still ask to hang out even when they knew he would turn them down. Eira and Kai were some of his biggest supporters who believed that he could be what he wanted to be. Even when he didn't believe in himself, they did. But...

What was the reason they stopped being friends?

"Something wrong Lucius? Did I scare you so much you wanted to cry?", Eira was flustered. She didn't think Lucius would react like this. He sounded sad but his face looked normal. She didn't know what to do but they were already 10 years friends and she felt that he felt a bit sad, so she was extremely worried.

Lucius snapped out of the past and just looked at them.

[It was the past. It doesn't matter anymore. Because now it will be different.]

"No everything's fine. I just thought about something."

"You know I can't know what you're thinking cause I'm not you but just know that I- no we are here if you ever need someone to lean on."

[Kai was always a responsible person. He always disciplined Eira when she did something wrong but defended her if someone wronged her. No not only her but also me but what was I like back then? I want to know.]

"Why so serious. It's time to eat. You hear. E. A. T. EAT. So, let's eat.", Eira didn't like the feeling coming out of her friends, so she wanted to change the atmosphere and it actually worked.

"Yeah, you are right, Eira. So where do you all want to eat?", Kai notices that she wanted to change the atmosphere, so he played along with it. He too wanted it to change so he didn't mind.

"I know. I know where to eat.", Eira was really excited while answering with a big smile: "Let's eat in the canteen. It will be the first time that we will be eating in a canteen. I wonder what food they have there. I really can't wait!"

"*LAUGH*", Kai sometimes wonders how simple-minded Eira can be, but he doesn't mind that she is not complicated he even welcomes it.

"I don't mind eating in the canteen. Do you mind Lucius?"

"No, I don't mind eating there. But I do wonder will it really be that different eating in a canteen?"

Eira looked really shocked when she heard Lucius saying this. That's why she kindly explained to him how special the canteen really is.

"You know there will be things like someone accidentally pouring their food on someone. Then there will be a big fight where everyone is involved. Or maybe someone will pick a fight with someone because he didn't like him or her. Or maybe everyone will begin singing. I know, I know how about someone flirting with me. You never know what will happen. It will be amazing I guarantee you Lucius.", her eyes were sparkling when saying this nonsense.

"Stop speaking nonsense Eira. We are not some stupid drama you always watch. And who would flirt with you?", Kai said this with a disgusted face and held his shoulders like he got the jitters.

Kai is a mature person but even he can't help but sometimes tease his best friends.

"Hah?!", Eira was surprised. Her face was saying: 'Who wouldn't flirt with me.' and 'What bullshit are you saying?'

Even with all this commotion, Lucius didn't say anything. He was in his own world.

[Will something like that really happen? What should I do when someone picks a fight with me?]

He was really worried about it. It seemed that he really believed the nonsense Eira said will really be happening. He was preparing for everything so that he wouldn't be caught off guard.

He wouldn't ever admit but he looked forward to it. He may be older but he didn't experience something like this so he hoped it would become true.

When he sorted everything out, he began talking: "Let's go to the canteen. In a bit, it will be full. It will be better if we arrive a bit faster."

Lucius said it calmly, but he couldn't hide the sparks in his eyes.

"Lucius, don't tell me that you really believed Eira's nonsense.", Kai looked shocked. He wanted to help Lucius realize that it was all fake, but before he could start, Eira began talking.

"Yes, just like you said. Let's go to the canteen.", with that she went to the canteen and behind her, Lucius followed like a puppy waiting for a treat.

"*SIGH* It seems I'm the only normal one here.", with that, he too walked after them. But it seemed like they already forgot where the canteen was, so he needed to guide them. Like kids who followed their parent. That was what it looked like with Kai in front, then Eira and as last Lucius. Together they went to the 'special' canteen.
